The Legacy of Kain series might make some good movies. Although, like any other game, there was quite a bit of fighting in the games. It seems like if they tried it would be all fighting, which gets boring if it's a movie. Maybe a movie about the Ancient Vampires and the Hylden would be cool.
I wouldn't. Games tell their stories in such a drastically different way from movies, that they never translate over well. Hitman did, because they more or less ignored the story in the games, but everyone who's seen the movie Doom knows what I'm talking about. :)
I would pick Bioshock...but only if it would be a quality movie. That game really has a shot to make a game into a good movie and get the name of gaming out even more, however if the movie is poor don't even bother, I'd rather not have a movie made.
I don't really like video game movies, come to think of it I'm really not a big movie guy. I really enjoyed the Bright Falls webseries promo for Alan Wake.
There are a lot of good game universes out there i'd like to see developed into a film ( say universes because a film based around what you might have already done in a game would be mostly boring) so Half Life, Fallout, Vampire: The Masquerade, Morrowind but most of all, I could see a brilliant film being made out of the Mass Effect universe.
God of War, done right, I love Greek mythology and it's the ancient father vs. son tale. Although I love it, I hope they don't ever make a MGS movie, when you need a downloaded library to understand some of the game, even after playing all of them many times, it's too complicated.
If I'm not mistaken, STALKER was based on a movie. Could be a book though.

I know, but Tarkovsky's Stalker was not really the same, it had the same lonely atmosphere but thnere was no human conflict or mutants and anomalies weren't as prevalent as in the the game.
Agreed. Many games are already similar to movies that already exist but Bioshock is a little unique - maybe not the concept but the setting, characters & plot are worthy of the silver screen.
I agree Mass Effect would be better served as a TV series, as would Bioshock. Game are too long and involved to make good movies which is why there aren't any. TV/Mini series would be much better suited for game univerises.

Very good idea, Bioshock would make a great movie, especially with the "morality" that Ryan used to move down there.
Bioshock for its great characters, odd atmosphere and great plot twists. Get a director like Paul Thomas Anderson (or even Tim Burton if you really want to get into the characters) to do it and I guarantee you it would be a huge success.
I'm gonna have to change my decision to Halo. I mean, those scenes they made for the Halo movie or whatever before were pretty awesome. You really couldn't go wrong if it looks that good.
After watching that Mortal Combat teaser on YouTube, I'm now changing my mind. I'm okay with a more "realistic" Mortal Combat movie that focuses on violent cage fighting. :)
