When you See "EA" on a game what do you think?

What do you think when you just look at a game, possibly for the first time, and think wow that looks like a cool game... And then you notice it is being done by "EA" to some extent or another?

personally, for me lately, I have seen Army of Two and Dark Sector just as an example... I Think wow this has a lot of potential with cool characters, design, and really well done advertising and publicity of the games... Then i noticed "EA" on it and thought... Crap... This is probably going to lead to another mediocre game with really nothing over the top or innovative... But there still may be a slight chance it could be okay? But most likely... NAH! HOOBLAH! it almost always turns out to be rubbish! with few exceptions!

You can say all you want about EA, and you're entitled to your own opinion. But EA still does some great games. The Battlefield series, the Sim games from Maxis, Command & Conquer, and their role as publisher for Valve and Crytek makes me a EA fan.

When I see "EA" on a game I usually think "oh, this game's being published by EA".

I'd miss out on many good games if I thought anything more than that.

I have been an EA fan since the first C&C games they had a hand in. Westwood did a great job and EA finishes off.

I don't believe that if you are a developer as big as them that you will churn out great 9/10 games around every corner. You are bound to get some hokey pokey titles as well, but that is where the actual gamer needs to make ducated decisions such as reading up on reviews beforehand and not buying blindly just because you can.

EA has my vote. At least you know that you will be entertained more often than not!

If I see the EA-Logo I´m always happy that I maybe get at least a good custom-soundtrack even if the game isn´t good :-p

Honestly, why all the EA hate?

I think they still do some great games.

EA makes a lot of games so it's very common to see their logo on the cover and sometimes, the game turns out to be rubbish. But I don't steer clear of EA games because some of them produce good work. I loved the FIFA series, and I felt that they did a great job on The Sims series, and I hear Battlefield is great too so in conclusion, EA does give some quality work, even if it is a rarity.

Oh yeah and I was MAJORLY disappointed with Army of Two. I felt that it had so much potential...

Maybe it's just me, but I've seen a few people defending EA with games like Command and Conquer, but for me, as soon as Westwood went out of the picture, I thought the series just went downhill...

EA's got a sour reputation amongst some hardcore gamers, myself included. Why? I simply don't care for their games or respect them as a game company. Which is why it pains me to see games with so much promise (Dead Space) being made by EA.

Does this matter at the end of the day? Probably not, because even EA's garbage *cough*Madden*cough* sells millions of copies. So really who's to blaim?

*Gasp* I must make haste in cleansing my eyes for I have stared into the eyes of the most vile, most evil, and most wretched game company ever!

But EA= Bad at making games.

The only latest game I liked from them was Skate. Burnout was alright but it was too repetetive.

As long as the game itself is good, I really don't give a hoot if EA developed\published it.

I really enjoyed C&C Generals, C&C3, BFME, Battlefield 2, and SimCity 4. Why I seem to be the only person in the entire world who has ever thought ANYTHING positive about those games beats me.
