Would you like to play on GameSpot Game Servers?

I would play on GS servers. Probably would be nice if they were decent servers and not just bottom of the barrel.

I really don't care one way or the other although i'm sure it would have to have sort of subscription or be ad supported. Both options aren't very appealing.

I began gaming around the age of 10, playing UT on the PC with my brother. I joined his clan and chatted to the same people as he, who were in another clan. Amongst those people was a fellow girly gamer, who to this day I still talk to (10 years on) and regard as one of my closest friends.

Basically, as true as my first point was (imo), the idea works the opposite way too. Playing with/against the same people over a period time can lead onto more conversation back onto a forum that you may not have known was a common interest, and who knows where that would lead!

We know of many occasions where gamers have started converse through a game and have later ended up a happily married couple.

Could this be an opportunity for a 'Gamespots' Cupid Spot' show? Who knows!

@airshocker: I would suppose if this actually happens that the servers would be held throughout both East and West of USA, UK, Australia, and maybe Asia (though I doubt). And the reason I presume that is because GameSpot has got offices in all those locations, so it wouldn't be hard starting up a server in those regions for them.

No, not for these games because they already have support; now a gamespot server dedicated to old games that lost multiplayer support like AOE II etc would be a good idea. Something like Voobly or gameranger.

Depending on the games, I might play. A small hope of mine is to be able to play Battlefront 2 online for the first time and there actually will be players after all this time since its initial release.

Yes! We should try to gather up as many gamespot forum users (maybe GiantBomb and GameFaqs users too?) and do that. I never played Battlefront online with other actual players. I think that would be Great!
