Probably because some members have been so,so, but I think Kev has proven himself.
Oh, and Kev. Welcome to the union! ;)
I will re-introduce myself for everybody.
Hey I'm Wasdie. I have been on gamespot for a bit under 4 years now. If you don't know me from system wars (I hang out there a lot) I am a pretty big Sony fan (still don't know why anymore). Well there isn't a whole lot to me. I have been with the GUFU since pretty much the beginning. What else? umm I have no idea.
comments guys?
Oh yeah, Pizza and beer for everybody.
*cheers*
That's not a pizza!
This is a pizza:
Edit: Anyony have any idea what it's supposed to resemble? Before mousing over, I mean?
It's not a video game game, but it is on a console. Also, you can mouse over the pizza for the answer. :PNa NA - Nananananana-nana-na-na-na-nana - Katamari Damacy!
Settlers of Catan! It's a great game. A board game. On the 360 now, I believe.
The name is BlackBond formerly known or sometimes also refered to as Stealthstyle. I'm a gamer I love games. I fell in love with games because I love competition. I love the thrill of the challenge of playing others and insanely difficult games. I love that expression on your face when you just get sick of losing.
I enjoy basketball, baseball, football and with a 6'4 athletic build yeah I like to get down. BlackBond lives in the post.
I am the best I repeat the best Megaman player on this forum. My skill in 2D gaming is defined as having a special ability known as "The Twitch" its like my Spider Sense for gaming.
But yeah when I'm not being a competitive **** trying to stomp your *** into the gorund I'm a chill, relaxed, lazy, fun kinda guy. I like to lounge out and just enjoy the peace and quiet. You can't be to tense all the time you have to relax. You never know when the next competition will come whether it be game related, sports, or even a challenge of going after a lady. All in all competition is life. I'll admit it that I'm addicted to it and it drives me crazy and sometimes literally insane. I need it and I must have it. I must seek out people that are better, faster, stronger, smarter then myself to go up against in anything.
Without competition, without challenges life would be boring. And quite honestly a boring life wouldn't really be a life at all now would it?

Dang. :( Well, I tried.
I should DL that, I might enjoy it.
EDIT: Blackbond, I can honestly say I'm nowhere near your skill at Megaman. But I can probably match your obsession with it! :P
I should DL that, I might enjoy it.mutenpikaIt's definitely a good game. But... it moves slow. And the resource management/trading can suck. Though, I imagine it would work better with random people as there'd be more... anonymity in the trading.

I'll give you Legends but definately not Megaman X and especially not Megaman Zero. I played those games like crack achieving an S rank in all the games that have had ratings. I play Megaman games to see how drunk I am when I come back from a night at college. Since I can pretty much get through a stage unscathed if I'm getting hit or damaged then yeah I know I was drinking way to much lol. Just an interesting things we experiemented with in college :P
I also never use any of the energy tanks or anything but the Rock/X Buster or Z-Saber. Special Weapons are for rookies. I still have yet to finish Battle Network 6 because wow its just so bad I might not even continue further. I mean they redeemed themselves after that crap that was 4 with 5 but 6 is just awful.
Watching BlackBond play Megaman is like watching a Cutscene. Yes it is that amazing.
As far as Madden goes. I'm probably just under the pro level. I just can't seem to get my skills up farther then that. My boys little brother plays semi-pro (he's still in high school) but I have yet to defeat him. There just must be something that the pro's have that the average player does not. But hey playing close games to the Philly Regional 04 Runner Up ain't bad all
My boy Kenny's little brothers name is Shawn Laguerre. Madden Challenge 04 Link
Remember RJ from Madden Nation? that who is who beat my boys younger brother and kept him from Hawaii. Playing near this level of competition is what I'm talking about baby!!!
Currently to feed my competition addiction I have started getting into fighters again. I have always played Doa2, and am now playing DOAU and DOA4 but after I experience online competition I wanted to find other games.
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Kage do you play online Fighters? And is there an online King of Fighters combatable with XBL?BlackbondI dont play King of Fighters online as with any fighting game. The real competition for me is the arcades since there are quite a few places that have them such as my local movie theater. Whenever there is an arcade tournament I sign up for it. I mainly play Tekken 5 DR and MvC2 and sometimes SC3 and CvS2 in the arcades

VCR repair is an... important skill.
Btw, presumably we'll try to have a Pokemon tournament again (I failed to appear at the first (and most recent) due to my lack of foresight (my DS didn't work with my gf's wireless, and I couldn't get it working in time)), so you should check it out if we do (at NUFU (NintendoUFU)).
Oh, and welcome.

I wouldn't mind a crack at a tournament now that I finally got my macho brace. I wouldn't mind providing prizes as well, especially since I have been breeding Eevees, which is a very hard to get and very important pokemon.
Oh, and thanks for having me. :)
I have been breeding Eevees, which is a very hard to get and very important pokemon.Redmoonxl2Such a confusing pokemon. How do you decide which to evolve it to? I feel like I had a Jolteon when I had yellow.

Well, there are 7 evolutions that focus on different stats of an Eevee and it really depends on what you want. It is confusing if you don't have a decent idea how you want your team just yet. Hell, I've been breeding eevees without knowing the answer to that question myself and I have a tournament next week. :(
So, while I have your attention. What makes a Pokemon happier, and how do you tell if he is happy?
I think mine have :| those faces. Do I, like, feed them or pat them or something?
Does it really make a difference?

Have you been kicking your pokemon on it's ribs everytime it loses a fight? If so, I'd advise against that.
Anyways, happiness is easy. Pokemon will get happy if you have them in your team, you feed them vitamins or gain levels. That's it.

Happiness is determined by hearts that appear over their head when you hold down on them using the pokemon happiness reader (Poketch). If they have two hearts, you're pretty much set.

There's a NPC in Eterna City's pokecenter that'll give you the checker. Also be sure to visit Jubilife City and speak to the Poketch President to get more applications for your poketch.

Nice. Anyway! Off of work for me. Sweet.
I'm not sure I'm in the right place now,as this has become the "GUFU Pokemon Discussion 1.0 Thread",but I guess I'll just introduce myself since this was what this thread was originally for.
Hello,I'm VGobbsesser,or VG for short.
I am a Nintendo fanboy, only because I have bought consoles from Nintendo only.I use to be very blind and very much like the typical blind fanboy (denying facts, calling the other consoles childish names, etc.),but I've matured a lot since then, and my mind has opened up a lot. Now,I could be just called a Nintendo supporter, since "fanboy" is usually associated with blindness, and I clearly could not have been invited to this Union if I was blind.I am now also willing to buy any other console from the other companies (or possibly start up PC gaming) if the other consoles manage to get enough games I want,so that sort of deminishes how much of a fanboy I may be.But either way,I just call myself a Nintendo fanboy,as I have been saying I am since I've joined Gamespot.
Platformers are my favorite genre of gaming.I would take up a quality platformer over almost any other game.My favorite games (in order) are Metroid Prime,Super Mario 64,The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,LoZ: Wind Waker, and Kirby's Adventure, and Metroid,Zelda, and Mario are my top 3 franchises.Metroid Prime is basically one of the greatest games ever created.I would say Super Metroid as well, but I am one of those unfortunate souls who have not been able to play the quality title.:(.As you might be able to guess,Super Smash Brothers Brawl,Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and Super Mario Galaxy are my 3 most anticipated games of 2007.
I currently own a Wii and DS.Ask me for my Wii code,Metroid Prime: Hunters code,or Mario Kart DS code, and I'll PM it to you (I never write out my codes out in the open.Only in the PM system).
I mostly hang out in System Wars, occasionally going in the Wii board, but not a lot.I've been on Gamespot for over a year, and everything's been great.Oh,and I have no life.:|
Well, that's all I have to say about me for right now. This seems like a great Union....
I would say Super Metroid as well, but I am one of those unfortunate souls who have not been able to play the quality title.:(VGobbsesser
Blasphemy. One of my favorites. And, my most anticipated Wii game.

Eevee is a pain, but you can get one after you beat the game, and some more by Pokemon mansion underneath Hawthorne city. Just bug the guy until he says Eevee story. I got 3 Eevees now, 2 in Diamond and 1 in Red. >_>

Hello, I'm Ontain. I've been on GS for like 2 years. I've been a gamer for what seems like forever. The first system I owned was an NES. a few years later i got a PC and was hooked. I've played more pc games than i can remember starting with games from the late 80's and early 90's. Some of my fondest memories are of games that only had 16 colors(ega). in the early 90's I got into the first type of online games, BBS games. My personal favorite was BRE and LORD.
In the mid 90's i went to college and played pc games that are classics now. I also took courses in psychology (actually got like 60 credits including many upper level) before getting a degree in Information Systems instead. After graduating and getting a job during the dot.com bubble I got into CS and then EQ. Eventually my close friends and I went to Dark Age of Camelot and created a guild. I was the first guild leader (and the best ;) ) We made this guild one of the best on our server and I created a website for the guild. We were very picky and only recruited mature members that wanted a family type guild. (it's now about 6 years later and most are still on the site and we go from one MMO to another.)
After the bubble burst I was laid off like many IT ppl and so I went to NYU grad school for Computer Sci. After that I hopped jobs till i'm at where i am now. I also hopped mmorpgs from DOAC to COH back to DAOC to WOW and now I'm on Guild Wars and waiting for warhammer online. I've also bought a DS and then a Wii during this time. I like them because they seem to offer the best complement for my pc gaming. the feel is so different.
In the past year i found a woman that is a casual gamer and accepts my gaming hobby (she also loves the wii and was interested in it before i even told her). We're now engaged and will probably get married this year.
Now you know just about everything game related about me. Thanks for the invite. this place seems to have good posters. Oh yeah, one more thing. After reading that How old are you thread, I feel like the gramps here :P
PS. My guild site is reverence.zapto.org if you're an mmorpger and interested in a future guild for warhammer.
Welcome, Silver-haired one. (You're only 5 years older than me, though).
Oh, and I think sonicmj1 was inquiring about Guild Wars players the other day.

Indeed. Sometimes even GUFU threads need to be hijacked.
Hijacking is an understatement. :)

Ah, BBS "Door" games. BRE isn't ringing any bells for me, does that stand for something?
I was more about Usurper and TW2002, but I played LORD as well.
