I'm half Norwegian myself (dad came from Bergen and most of my family live there, some in Narvik and near Oslo too) and am just a bit interested to know which part. Hey there, sorry for the late response. I live in Lørenskog, which is a 0 minute walk from the edge of Oslo. :P My mother and father are both from Telemark, but we have family in Bergen, and my father also lived there for a while (he moved around a lot). It's great to finally meet a fellow viking on GS! Are you in trade or pillaging? :lol:Pillaging all the way and maybe burning a few wooden churches while i'm at it. I kid, I kid... :P
It's good to hear that there's other people on this site barely an hours drive from where I stay. I go on holiday to Holmestrand kommune, near Larvik where my dad's cousin lives. I actually live mainly in the UK but go over to visit family and relax every few weeks in the flat which my dad owns. Since the planes are so low cost and since the flat is quite cheap (but brand new), I can visit my family and get in touch with my Norwegian side...
Plus just as a side note, there's another guy in the union called ScaryMovies who's a fellow Norwegian. He doesn't come here so often anymore, but maybe you'll bump into him, or you could just look him up in the GUFUÂ members list. He lives in Spain now, but he's a definite viking!
