hmm, I'm going to disagree here. He has his good posts, but I've seen stuff that I really dislike. For instance, he often refers to yo_foo as eww_foo and even taking yo_foo's posting habits in account, it just makes him sound immature. If I remember correctly, he is also pretty biased towards MS, and does not always back up his arguments with facts.

I like the guy, he is funny but he definately doesn't fit well with GUFU's ideals.

I say no to Tekkenmaster. Sure he is a good poster but some of his idealogy of gaming is not well gamerish. He likes the PS3 just for its multimedia capabilities and not its games. Him and I have numerous disccusions all friendly of course but he only likes PS3 and sees PS3 as the best system due to its multimedia functions.

So what? We talk about all kinds of things here, gaming is usually just the common interest that brought us all here. I mean its one thing if this TekkenMaster guys is a jerk (I have no idea, I don't know who he is), but personally I could care less why he likes the PS3 or any other system.

It's not opinions that matter, as long as the poster recognizes that these are simply his or her opinions, and does not try to express them as fact or a driving factor in the gaming market. Tekken Master uses his opinion and choice in consoles as a basis in argument, and I have seen him ramming the "importance of multimedia" down peoples throats in the past. Once again, I could care less about his opinion, but the way he presents his opinion is not befitting of the union.

I do agree with a "no", he made a really bad topic about Wii being another GC. about Jar., I say yes, I had good talks wtih him in SW.

Have you noticed a trend that some members who are pro Sony are voting for pro Sony people as are pro Nintendo GUFU members for new Nintendo members? Not that it really matters because in the end we just want good posters no matter what they like or dislike but I just thought I'd point it out.

Have you noticed a trend that some members who are pro Sony are voting for pro Sony people as are pro Nintendo GUFU members for new Nintendo members? Not that it really matters because in the end we just want good posters no matter what they like or dislike but I just thought I'd point it out.

Seems so, but then again... I have to say SyluxElite looks like a good poster. I don't know about nominating him, but he seems very respectable, despite the obvious of him being pro Nintendo. Then again, I think many of here kind of have a little biased in us, it's human nature, but we do retain from keeping biased and resulting to ignorant posts and insults. SyluxElite IMO does that, he poses some interesting questions and points on the subject, and even he does a good job when it comes to trying to ask, in a nice way, about faults with the systems/status of the industry/etc.

Edit: I know you weren't talking about him, but basically I'm nominating him and seeing what you guys think... and I quoted you, because I guess it's kind of obvious I do have a little favoritism for Nintendo. But hey, I'm not alone with liking one company a little more, but we don't resort to what I said above of course...

Yeah, Sylux is a good guy. I argue with him a lot about Nintendo-related stuff, but its always a good debate.

I'm really not sure about him.. I think I'm going to say no for now. Perhaps my standards are a bit too high, but I took a long time looking through is posts, and I've noticed that he seems more biased now than he used to be. He also is prone to some hostility and comments that aren't exactly befitting of the gufu.
