Tell me about yourself, who are you guys, what do you do outside of Gamespot?

I'll start:
>>>>>>>I'm 16, I live in Southern California, I enjoy watching Angels baseball, Lakers basketball. I'm on the Varsity Track and CC team, I also plan on playing Varsity football next year. I work out alot, and I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with friends, going to the beach and eating fish tacos. I play video games (liek omg!1, bet you guys didn't know that), I mantain a 4.0 GPA, and I am a school-oholic, I plan on becoming a neurosurgeon. I am a Christian, I love the Lord, and I attend a church called Harvest. I actually attend a Christian High School, I dislike people who sterotype others. I especially hate people that think all people from the Middle East are terrorists. I happen to be Egyptian, and I abhor all terrorists. I also hate people who judge others because of race, religion, or mentality. That's me, now who the hell are you people?

I'm 17, and am living in Abilene, Texas. I enjoy posting on the Gamespot forums, playing games, playing paintball, shooting crap, reading. debating, and just slacking off. I intend on majoring in History, and becoming a History Prof. or a Museum Archivist.

I was involved in Airsoft for a while. I like how you can buy Airsoft guns that look realistic instead of the odd paintball weapons (I had several Ak47, a M1911 Colt .45, and one M4 Carbine Airsoft gun). But...it lacks the intensity I'm looking for.

One thing I hate about Airsoft, is that when enemies are shot at, they deny being hit, whereas in paintball, you have proof you hit the enemy: hence the paint. I own a Carbine Panther A-15, Chicago Typewriter, and a CO2 powered revolver (it's actually an air pistol, it shoots up to 435 fps)

A little bit about me huh? Okay.

Well for starters, I'm 19 and was born and raised in Detroit Michigan (It's actually a lot better than the media makes it out to be. Well at least in my neighborhood) Some of my hobbies include: writing (as you all know), playing videogames, hanging out with my friends, going to the movies (rarely) and driving (with a habit of speeding) I am ready to begin my sophomore year at Wayne State University, majoring in Journalism. When I graduate I hope to get a job as a gaming journalist, writing novels on the side for a little extra income.

Beautiful campus (women are amazing 8)) Anyways when im not working, im posting, if you have been here for awhile you should know that I have no life. SW is my life (sad isn't it?). When im not post or working, im playing games on the Xbox, PS2, and now PC. I have a PSP but it is collecting dust becaues I am to cheap to buy more games for it. I live in Wisconsin so I love the Packers, no matter how much they suck (this year doenst look that good). I also watch a lot of movies. Movies for some reason are a huge part of my life.

Well that is me in a nutshell.

Well I like brisk walks in the park, holding hands, dacing in the rain, pricess diaries 2, anything by hilary duff and OMG those Pokemon are soooooooooooooooooooooo cutexorz!!!

Heh, but seriously I'm 22, Like mostly Japanese games and anime. I'm trying to learn Japanese, I do Tae Kwon Do. I want to start learning piano but it's hard to find the time. I don't play games much at the moment because nothing has really caught my interest. I really like instrumental music, I have loads of VGM soundtracks. Music is one of the most important aspects of a game to me. I don't listen to reviews or care about score because I make up my own mind about what I like/dislike.

I have some programming experience as I used to do computer science, I messed around with RPG maker for a while, then went hardcore using Sphere but got bored after a while. I think most films, music, anime, books and games are crap. I'm not an elitist, I just think that quality in the entertainment industry has seriously declined in favour of people trying to make a quick buck and forcing crap upon the public. So I choose what I like very carefully.

I don't listen to propaganda no matter where it comes from and I have an interesting perspective on the world. I really really really hate the spread of missinformation....along with tools and posers. I think this union is pretty cool and I'm a fun person so I like to mess around. I'm not a fanboy and I just like good games no matter where or who makes them.

My name's Matt, I'm 21, and I'm going to my fourth year at The College of New Jersey.  I'm a Computer Engineering major, which basically means that I learn all about designing the digital circuits used in computer processors and other integrated circuits.  It also means that I take 20 credits a semester and that I'll be entering the fourth circle of hell while working on my senior project this year.  I also take a few programming courses as part of my major, which I like a whole lot since programming is probably what I'm best at.  I like to program my own little games on the side as a hobby, which has led me to make games for the PC, NES, GBA, and Xbox.  Ive always kicked around the idea of trying to get a job as a game programmer once I'm out of school, and the more I work on games the more I take that idea seriously.

Aside from that stuff...I like to play guitar with my new band, Camino Royale.  We generally do straight-up rock with a ska influence, and we don't have any serious recordings yet but if you bother me enough I'll upload a demo for you guys to hear. :P  I own three guitars right now:  a Fender American Deluxe Fat-Strat, a Gibson Les Paul DC Pro, and a Taylor Big Baby acoustic.  My amp is a Mesa Single Rectifer 50-watt head into a Marshall 1960A cabinet.

Anyway, enough about that guitar stuff, I doubt anyone here except Oblio cares anyway.   I've been gaming since I was a wee lad of around 3 or 4, which is when I started plaing Double Dragon on my Sega Master System.  And NES and then a Genesis followed not too long after, along with a sweet 386 PC that my dad gave me.  After my dad showed me how to use CompuServe, I got into PC games by downloading and later buying classic shareware games like Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, and Doom.  Since then I've owned nearly every system thats popped up (including a 3DO, Atari Jaguar, and Sega Nomad), except for a Dreamcast for some reason...I'm still mainly a PC guy at this point, but I've still got some remnants of the brainwashing Nintendo gave me when I was a subscriber to Nintendo Power.  I also enjoy my Xbox and PS2 thoroughly, and plan on buying a Wii and 360 later this year.

Wow, talk about too much info.
Sorry about that.

Yeah, it really sucks at first when you're trying to get the hang of switching chords and everything.  You've just gotta hang in there for a few months, and eventually things just start to click.

I guess. I just love classic rock, that's why I want to play guitar. I will get the hang of it though....eventually.

I'm 18, I live in Las Vegas, and yes...it's just like the movies lol...surprisingly, it's boring, since theres not much to do there besides gamble, arcade, bowling, and the strip club [though I've never been there, and never will since I'm not into that stuff, surprisingly]...it all gets stale. So uh...I'm planning on getting my own pad after firmly getting a grip on life and move out of state either to Oregon, South Carolina, or California. I'm VERY blunt. I rarely sugarcoat anything I say. When I say something, I mean it. That sometimes puts a few people off, but I'm a joker as well...I joke...a lot. I do airsoft, too. I have a tactical beretta with an extended barrel,...and one without the extension. I got a sword, and I have a close group of friends that basically introduced me into everything that makes me, me. From anime, to airsoft, to music tastes, to the video games I play and the sports I get into. My first game console was the Atari 2600. I have owned most of the consoles in existence....not all of them, and I'm pretty happy with the ones I have. I started off in Gamespot as a Sheep, but moved up to manticore after I became disheartened with the gaming industry. There just seemed to be something wrong with all the console makers, so I chose to side with none of them, really. :P I've been sheep for 4 months, and I've been a manticore for 3 years. :o 8) I didn't get accepted into the college I was shooting for, so I figure I'll breeze by with a job for awhile and shoot for a winter term...so yeah. :P

Actually, the age limit is 18 for MOST places. Basically you can get most of what you want if you're 18, not 21. ;)

[QUOTE="KR3W-"] Tell me about yourself, who are you guys, what do you do outside of Gamespot?

I'm also on my school's track team. What event(s) do you do?

Well...My name is Arber Spahiu and I'm a 15 years old and living in Waterbury, CT. I am Albanian, and proud of it, and I'm muslim, but respect everyone else's religions and beleifs (kind of with the exception of scientology). In school, I'm in the ACE program (Achedemic choice for Excellence [wich I don't know how I got in]). Most things in school come naturally, so I can pull off a B average without trying too hard, though I wanna start doing better. As for school activities...I'm gonna do Soccer, followed by indoor track, and then my favorite, outdoor track (Hurdles all the way!!). Outside of school I like to hang out with friends, post on gamespot, and waste my hard-earned cash on funny T-Shirts. I'm not sure what in the distant future, but I can't wait for my field trip to Canada/Niagra Falls!

Amen. I never make fun of anyone's religion, but I absolutely loathe Scientology.

I did some 800m and 1500m event. I'm more of a long distance or middle distance kind of guy, I can't do short distance, as I am not a good sprinter. What events do you do?

[QUOTE="KR3W-"][QUOTE="FalconZero"][QUOTE="KR3W-"]Las Vegas is great. I went there in June, I stayed at the Wynn. FalconZero
Nice place the visit, but I'd never live there...oh wait...I do. :x

 It's kind of boring though, since I'm not 21. I want to go into those clubs, grab a drink and a woman and waste a couple hundred bucks on the tables 8)

Actually, the age limit is 18 for MOST places. Basically you can get most of what you want if you're 18, not 21. ;)

Figures, since no gambling is involved some of those clubs. Do you hang out in clubs and casinos on your free time?

Hmm, alright.

I'm 22, born and raised in Minnesota, though I've lived in a few differant towns. I'm currently working in a factory to support myself and all that jazz. I like to listen to music, watch movies and anime, play games, read, write, mess with computers, and walk. My big current writing project is with my cousin's husband. We decided to get together and work on making a source book for Paladium's Rifts table top RPG. We intend to actually present it to Paladium when we have enough down and see if they are willing to publish it. I guess thats kind of my dream right now too. I really want to write a book that will be published and people will enjoy, even if its just one person. Yeah, that would make me happy. I'd like to go to college to be a psycitrist (first I need to learn how to spell it) and help people. Hmm. Not much else too me really. I'm not that interesting.

If you wish... I'm 17, born in Ontario, Canada, and am now living on the west coast. I work in a newspaper insertion factory, where I often wonder if my entire life is really worth $11 an hour. One of my biggest hobbies is writing. I have written many short stories, and am currently working on my first novelization of a video game. For games, I enjoy action RPGs, or maybe the odd adventure game. I own a 360, will be getting a Wii on launch, and plan to buy a PS3 in the future. Current courses I'm taking in my final year of high school include but are not limited to psychology, physics, mathematics, and honors English. When I'm not at work or playing video games, I'm here. However, I don't really stay here for more than an hour each day. On the odd occasion, I will smoke a significant amount of marijuana, not only because its one of the best ways for me to relax, but also because there is no scientific evidence that it is physically bad for your health. I stay far away from hard drugs - don't get me wrong.

Well, In our Physical Education classes at school, they showed us this video showing the effect of Marijuana on people - each puff kills millions of brain cells. They showed the effect of regular usage on the development of the brain, and it was some intense ****! And they showed us links between Marijuana and schitzophrenia and other mental dis-orders. But I dunno, its all up to you, and Im just saying what I learnt at school.

15 living in West Allis Wisconsin. Just came back from sending my sister to college at BARD in New York State. Go to Nathan Hale High School (Where girls are *****es and our sports teams suck!) Loathe Michigan *So I guess I have to hate Game* Packers own and so do the Badgers, Brewers and Bucks! Also Admorals and Wave but who watches the AHL and MISL? Listen to music and watch movie logos on Youtube, go on YTMND Gamespot. In clan for SWBF2. Parents think I'm a retard and that makes me special (Though having depression syndrome does not automatically make me special IMO) Get A's and B's and if I get a C my parents think I'm dumb and get me a tutor. Live in upper middle class house and have upper middle class money.

I do both the 110m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles, thought I'm not that good yet, seeing as how this was my first year in track. Other then that, I occasionally do 200m at the meets, just for fun.

I come from Nowhere land, and I am known as the walrus to many, and as the eggman to others. I feel down when I see red, and I never quite feel like I'm having a day in the life nor can I let go of yesterday. I specialize in running mystery tours and starting peaceful revolutions all over the world. I often feel the urge to go to an octopus's garden. When the bad boys start messing around, my soul just tells me to let it be. My favorite food are strawberries, which I frequently eat in fields. I live on Penny Lane, and I play in Sgt. Pepper's band. I never say good-bye, just hello. Let me just say I once had a girl once, or should I say, she once had me. I don't know if she loved me or not, but I did want to hold her hand kind of often. There was something else about her though. So, why don't we stop our guitars from weeping, go back in the U.S.S.R. and come together right now?

That is theory. Many scientists pass that off as "junk science" since there is no physical proof of it, although it is deemed plausible. What do they mean by "regular usage?" Do they mean once or twice a week or once or twice a day?

Mate, I have no idea... I can only remember the things I said because they shocked me so much I've never used drugs once. I only drink alcohol, just to be safe. But I know they recenlty proved the Marijuana / Schitzophrenia thing, it was all over the news here in Australia just recently. But yeah, other then that I have no further knowledge of it.

Odd...my doctor was the one that told me about it. Apparently alcohol is worse for you than marijuana. That's why I don't drink often.

Hey, nobody bothered to look at my description :(. jetpower3

I don't think anyone was bored enough :P ;)  Boredom needs to be at a breaking point first.
