Yet another positive preview about Conduit 2:http://kotaku.com/5672980/the-wii-game-that-was-briefly-mistaken-for-an-xbox-360-game
I kind of feel that this paragraph may explain why some people think the Conduit and its sequel looks great and others (like myself) don't share the same sentiment:
"The gamer with only a Wii and a desire for a first-person shooter could look to Conduit 2 as a game that has the bullet points their 360, PS3 or PC-owning friends might say a shooter must have. The game, however, still struggles to impress outside of that context, when viewed as its own thing."
that like all shooters i don't see why this is the one tpyical hit so hard.I kind of feel that this paragraph may explain why some people think the Conduit and its sequel looks great and others (like myself) don't share the same sentiment:

Awesome new avy. and i agree as well. There are a lot of better FPS' on the market, Conduit 2 is not special.I kind of feel that this paragraph may explain why some people think the Conduit and its sequel looks great and others (like myself) don't share the same sentiment:

My thread is not misleading. It's clearly says 'Conduit 2 LOOKS Good: More proof in article'. I'm referring to the visual compliments this article provides, not the other stuff. Also, the other parts of the article I did not find negative. I'm not looking for a game to reinvent the wheel, every new game doesn't have to be like that. I'm just looking for a FPS with Wii controls that offers an experience on par with a 360 game. Conduit 2 may be the closest thing to that.
Also, we already know what we like about Wii FPS games, and that's mainly how they control. It's an enjoyable experience over dual analog, if you prefer Wii controls better. As for other Wii games, it has the most depth compared to any other Wii shooter out there and looks better any other Wii FPS. It may fool the untrained eye in terms of looks for 360 comparisons, but to the trained eye--it is not an eyesore and looks good.
That preview made it out to be a mediocre Halo wannabe. Which the Conduit is.meetroid8
Basically. He doesn´t sop comparing xbox to wii. It´s like the xbox is the best, and everything should be compared to it...
But the review wasn´t that bad

GameSpot seems to only display it half the time, but yes, it's a chocobo carved into a pumpkin, which I put up for Halloween.
That is so freekin awesome!! :D Your avy...not The Conduit 2.I don't think the preview was all that negative. While it questions the necessity of a shooter like Conduit 2 outside of the Wii's context, it somehow confirms that the Wii needs this game, if only for the sake of having some more choice. I have a gaming PC, but I'll still get this title as I enjoyed the first game despite all of its flaws, and it actually reminds me a lot of Perfect Dark.

you CARVED that?! O_oNo, I mean I put the picture up as my avatar for Halloween. :P The picture itself I found on Google Images.
The reality is that there is a void of quality FPSs on the Wii. I am sure that people will make the same complaints for Conduit 2 as they did for the first. "It is an OK shooter that, on any other system, would seem average to below average.
But, these games are on the Wii. If you want to use the motion/pointer control combination, you have to play games that are on the Wii. Why compare the games to those on other consoles? Different control schemes, different consoles.
If Conduit 2 provides an experience you can't get from any other Wii game, then that is the reality. Why compare it to what it might be like on another system?
It seems to me that HV wants to make a good game, but that isn't enough. To some, games are either great, or they are horrible with nothing in between. Are cars either Mozzeratis or Pintos? Is food either Prime Rib or peanut butter sandwiches? How much should I complain about a taco I order from Burger King, or Pizza ordered from Perkins?
Kotaku: Conduit 2? HAHAHAHAHA! Buy and Xbox 360 and get Halo Reach or Gears of War. Poor Wii only owners, Not being able to have games that the 360 has.
That's what I got from the Preview.

halolz has some pretty awesome carvings... but they put "HALOLZ" all over it (so it's a valid entry to their contest) which kinda ruins it :PI guess it's the best way HD lovers can give a compliment to a Wii game. All I took from the article is that the game does not look ugly and that's all that matters for me from a visual standpoint.

Have they talked about the All Seeing Eye in Conduit 2?
Like what button to press to make it work and why cant you scan items with it and still have your gun out. It just slows down the pace unnnecessarily. Like will the All Seeing Eye have a more active and, need I stress, more important role in this game?
I don't see the big hoopla over this game to be honest. I think it does look good for a Wii game, yes. But that's like comparing apples to oranges when comparing it to a 360 game.
I don't care how good it looks in motion, it will not ever look like a 360 game. The resolution it runs in alone is enough to show that.
EIther way, I hope they pull off a good game and get some sales this time.
The "hoopla" is a decent FPS with great controls. I don't care if it looks like a 360 FPS or not, I can't stand playing FPSs with dual analog controls. A few more items: A currency system Upgradeable weapons and armor that you can take with you on your missions (no starting a level with a weapon that you have no idea how you got or why you got rid of your last one) A home base to coordinate your missions (less linear) NPCs Wild weapons More open gameplay Hidden conspiracy objects Some stealth aspects There's quite a bit to this game.I don't see the big hoopla over this game to be honest. I beat the first Conduit but I wonder what the second game is going to be like. I hope it solves the cliffhanger from the first game.AQWBlaZer91
Its just gonna be the best shooter for the Wii is all.

They say that Conduit 2's intro will be cinematic version of The Conduit's ending. I guess similar to how Other M's intro recounted Super Metroid's ending--probably not as epic though...lol.
You know the Conduit would not be a big deal here if the more seasoned users here at GS did not make it their personal goal to let everyone know they do not support this game.
I see this game as a 6.0 to 7.5 game that should get a little more hype than a Fifa or Madden coming to Wii.

I see a lot of 'seasoned' members who seem at least interested in Conduit 2. I'm not saying it's off the walls popular but it's getting some decent attention.

Yes but people here love to make it their thesis for why games are good/bad.[QUOTE="thedude-"]

i don't know if i count as "seasoned", but i'm interested. far from being on my wish list, even farther from my hype list, but i want to see if they can put up everything they promised, because that would cIassify conduit 2 as a "quality game". of course, the online needs to last, no "hackers everywhere".wow complete bias much (the article) as soon as he found out its NOT an Xbox360 games he admiration drops..lol. That's what I get from reading it, "oh look its a new 360 game, ....wait what that's on Wii...boo hiss hiss". Didn't even try to hide his bias.
