Yea the Wii cant handle the barely updated RE4 graphics in RE5 ......my assCaptain_Lorelli
Barely up-dated RE4 graphics?
Have you even PLAYED the 5 demo in 1080p?
The game looks AMAZING and blows 4 out of the water visualy!
Like the dev said, the wii crashs at the title screen, so NO, the wii CAN'T handle it!
Everyone here should do some research first.
A interview was done and the producers of RE5 said there looking into the Wii, on how they can make RE5 on it.

So your saying they did all the work of trying to run it on the Wii and it crashed when it tried to load the screen?I think they will wait for the reactions that games like Dead Rising and Dead Space for wii get. If they do well (not really anticipating that), they would probably try to bring RE5 to the wii. Which would be cool because, even though I have a 360, RE4 wii had the best controls ever...... it was hard to go back to analog aiming after that..... :Pfluffy_kins
That's very true, after playing re4 wii, going back to analog stick was a major step back.
its not likely to one dev behind re5 they said the wii can't even handle the title screen and we are not missing anything to special elbert_b_23Even devs like to being ignorant fanboys sometimes.
Well, Capcom said the Wii can't even handle the title screen,so don't expect RE5 to show upon the Wii ever.
However, with the 1.75 million sales of RE4: Wii Edition, expect something Resident Evil-oriented in the future.
Yea the Wii cant handle the barely updated RE4 graphics in RE5 ......my assCaptain_LorelliBuddy, have you ever seen the game in action. I got the demo for my 360 and its looks nothing like RE4.
They can make another verion for the Wii. They would just have to build it more as its own version (like Dead Space).
I would love something related to RE (but brand new) on the Wii, but I don't expect RE5 to show up. It would be too much work imo, and the game is going to sell in it's normal form. Why bring it to Wii, when instead of porting everything down to the Wii's capabilites, you could just enhance the RE4 slightly and create a new game for the Wii?
I could care less if it's a main game in the series or whether it has a # attached to the title. As long as it's a good quality RE game with RE4:Wii Edition controls.
Yea the Wii cant handle the barely updated RE4 graphics in RE5 ......my assCaptain_Lorelli
First: RE4 runs great on Wii, and still would run smooth if it had double the original graphical power
Second: Have you seen the Conduit? The Wii CAN handle some amount of next gen graphics. It just won't have the unnecessary excessive detail that doesn't ad too much.
RE5 is already on Wii, its called RE4.HaziqonfireNo, RE4 is RE4, RE5 is a new game for other systems? You didn't know that?
RE5 is already on Wii, its called RE4.Haziqonfire
Oh right, kinda like how SSBB is already on the GC and its called SSM, and like how AC:WW is already on the GC and called AC, and like how MK Wii is already on the GC and is called MK: DD, and ........ well you see where Im going :)

Here's the diffrence: When Resident Evil 4 came out it was completely diffrent then the previous Resident Evil's. RE5 is the same, but with a new storyline and updated graphics. There is a chainsaw wielding maniac with a mask on, the same gameplay aspects, same enemy's. Except now they speak African? But then again that is what a sequal is supposed to be, BUT RE5 is not a sequal, it's a whole new chapter. SSBB, MKWII, and Animal Crossing are direct sequals.[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]RE5 is already on Wii, its called RE4.kenakuma

Doesn't mention 5 or "this series" ...he only said they're "looking @ ways to bring the resident evil series to the Wii".

I played the RE5 demo on my 360 -- its RE4 in HD minus the good controls from the Wiimote. RE5 could be fun on the Wii but it would be such a small update from RE4.

As for the gameplay aspects being the same, I guess you didn't play the demo because there is a HUGE new gameplay aspect that sets it faaaaaaaar apart from 4! Its called CO-OP!!! The entire game is now played with a partner, either AI or Human, an that is a BIG change!
The whole game being CO-OP is a bigger gameplay change than anything you got from the newest instillations of MK,SB, and AC!

Now you're sounding like an ***. They never did that, but it wouldn't work unless they downgraded the graphics a good amount. They never said that? WRONG!

I thought they said that RE4 was not the continuation from part 3, it was a side story or something. I think I remember them saying that resident evil 5 was continuation of Code Veronica or Resident evil3 nemesis. Hey, I might be wrong though.

I don't mean story wise, when I say its a direct sequel I mean its the next game in the main series.

yea and thats what he means. it doesn't matter if the game goes through some drastic changes in gameplay wise. As long as the story is a continuation from the past game. It is called a sequel.
