Why keep it? Honestly I've been thinking about selling my Wii and getting a 360 lately. Maybe I've just been playing too much 360 at my friends house, but it's grown on me now more than it ever did before.

If you want that much mature games, blame the 3rd party. Nintendo should stay what they are. The 3rd party has big opportunities but they won't want to take risks.

Well, you listed two damn good games(neither of which is made by nintendo) and you're aware that Wii has only been out for a little over a year. Now you just have to be patient, two good mature titles in one year is pretty good and I'm sure there are plenty more on the way.

I wouldn't give up on Wii yet. Killing people with analog sticks isn't nearly as fun as killing people with Wiimotes.

No. Buy a 360. Taggsai

We shouldn't have to buy other consoles to get more mature games, Nintendo promised that the Wii would be for everyone and that it would have more mature games, so far there are only a few. Nintendo should take matters into their own hands and show people they mean business and make a mature game themselves, they must be tired getting typecast as "kiddy game" makers.

Only a few?? it doesnt have to have extreme gore to be a game that adults will enjoy... MP3 is a prime example (pun intended). Heck even games that may look kiddy are great for adults sometimes such as Zack & Wiki. The Wii is for everyone and everyone can enjoy most of its games (wii sports, SMG, and so on). When they said it was for everyone they didnt mean that there would be equal numbers of G rated games as M rated game, they meant it would have games that everyone can enjoy.

Square Enix is supporting the Wii more than the PS3 so expect many FF style games. Also Capcom is seriously considering porting RE5 to the Wii. There you go.

I never understood people why people think that mature = violence and gore. Manhunt 2 isn't a mature game, it's a bad game with a dull storyline. The gore elements (sorry "mature") are only there for commercial reasons, it's not a game only a dull gore fest so that kids think they're mature cause they play a game where you chop heads off, and the worst it's they think it's cool.

usually when i hear "us other older more mature..." sorta things thats usually around the age of 15-17. when you hit 20's you will feel that when one was at that age they were immature.

I never understood people why people think that mature = violence and gore. vivi2000

yes. a mature game can contain any bit of obscenity in it, but what really makes a game mature imo is a well developed game. just like people, when we become more developed we become more mature.

If you want "blood and gore" games (I'm guessing you accidentally used the word mature there) then you should probably look at the other systems. I will take great, creative, and fun games no matter their age rating over games like Escape from Bug Island.

OK,my suggestion of "Get a PS3 instead" was considered "trolling".I only said that cuz the TC wanted Resident Evil and Final Fantasy games, both are for the PS3 (with some exceptions like RE:UC and FF:CC).I think we will never see the newest FF here or the RE's neither. Why? They may be too graphically powerfull for the Wii,while as a PS3 can handle. And since FFs have been released on the PS for a while and the newest ones announced for it,I think that if you want FFs you get a PS3.

Thats just the way Nintendo is bud, get used to it. We've all sang that tune before, but nothing changes. They continue to sell as a family gaming machine...and its working very well! Why would they change now?

Want more mature games, get a 360.

What have we come to? A game is kiddy until it has extreme violence and guns? The games you call kiddy are enjoyed by all ages.

The games on the Wii are not kiddy they just aren't completely based around violence. Trust me I dont hate a good shooter but it is pretty sad that people want to play violence all the time. Just because a game is fun and a little cartoony dosen't make it kiddy. Adults still enjoy them. And they are actually fun, not just violent.

I guess I will have a lot of people get angry and tell me Im wrong now. But whatever.

I am sorry if I offend your tiny brain in saying this, but yours is far from the most mature argument I've ever heard.

Anyone who will shun "kiddiness" in favor of exclusively playing extreme gore is too immature for either.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't see the words "blood", "gore", "violence", or "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" there. Maybe they're asking for games that simply feel as though they were designed with a more mature crowd in my mind. For example, Disney's Aladdin is a fun movie to watch, but sometimes I'd rather watch something like Children of Men or Oceans Twelve. Sometimes when I look at my Wii, I'm fine with Mario or Rayman:RR, but I would also like to see more games that are designed in a "youngins be damned" fashion.Realistic lookingcharacters in a pull no punches story that will appeal to an older crowd.

I still enjoy the Wii, but it sometimes feels likeI could be enjoying it more.

Poker is neither violent nor gory, so is it a kids game?

At 22, I'm probably older than this topic creator. And yet I fail to see why a game must hold a M rating to be any fun for me. That's not to say I don't play games like RE4... believe me, I do... but that's not because their M rated, it's because they are quality games. (ESRB ratings indicate content, not quality... and usually not even target audience)

Yeah, aside from No More Heroes, there doesn't seem to be any serious mature game going out within....forever. I think the developers who do more of the violent games are turning to the PS3 and Xbox 360 because they have the graphical power to pull off better looking gore, plust they have the audience to sell the game, etc. It blows.

That was a good game, no doubt. I'd still like to see more along those lines. I don't need blood, gore, and boobs to have enjoy a game, just more games where I'm not necesarrily saving the princess (.....again. Seriously, someone get herBrinks Home Security). Mario's all fine and great, and a blast to play, but how about some more realsitic sports games to complement it? Bring over the NHL and NBA liscenses, let's say. For example, Strikers ispopular but it doesn't necesarrily fill the same gap as the likes of Fifa '08.

Nintendo wii has WAY more M rated games this time around, i mean compared to the GC Wii has tons of M games, and more are still coming out, you dont even have to be patient and wait, lots are already here just take a look at best buy buddy.

I really think people should stop using the "wii doesn't have to have blood and gore games to be mature" axcuse, i mean of course this statement is true, but its not even the case, there are plenty of M and T games already and the wii is only a year and a bit old. The wii has the games, you just have to actually get out there and use your eyes.

Manhunt2, RE4, Splinter Cell, No More Heroes, CSI: Hard Evidence, Mortal Combat:Armageddon, The Godfather, Scareface, FarCry(no matter how bad it is, you said mature so if thats what you want then this game qualifies, no so sure now are you, eh?), Brothers in Arms:road to hill 30, Disaster :day of crisis, Alone in the dark, RE:UC, and MOH:H, these are not all out yet, but trust me this is about 10 more Mature rated games than the GC had. So quit your complaining, they are trying, and this is only stuff anounced for this year, so with about 5 more years of wii life left you will have plenty of Mature titles to choose from,

Plus! i didn't even add Teen games, these are all Mature, if you aren't satisfied, then go and play your Xbox or PS3.

The wii has the games, you just have to actually get out there and use your eyes. Here's your proof!

Manhunt2, RE4, Splinter Cell, No More Heroes, CSI: Hard Evidence, Mortal Combat:Armageddon, The Godfather, Scareface, FarCry(no matter how bad it is, you said mature so if thats what you want then this game qualifies, no so sure now are you, eh?), Brothers in Arms:road to hill 30, Disaster :day of crisis, Alone in the dark, RE:UC, and MOH:H, etc.

Not all of these are out yet, but trust me this is about 10 more Mature rated games than the GC had in its whole lifetime. So quit your complaining, they are trying, and this is only stuff anounced for this year, so with about 5 more years of wii life left you will have plenty of Mature titles to choose from, Plus! i didn't even add Teen games, these are all Mature, if you aren't satisfied, then go and play your Xbox or PS3.
