Why dont you go buy PS3 or 360 and play some mature games?

DMC - HALO - Gears of war - GTA4 - MGS4 - RE5 - Silent hill 5 and many many more...

If youre fan of nintendo icons you dont have necessarily to sold your Wii. Keep it to play fun games for you as SMG etc. Try buy other console than Wii though,cause other consoles got and will have more mature games that Wii

Umm i'm pretty sure nintendo has been around for ages and have gotten over a billion...and why should you have to spend hundreds of dollars so you can play RPG's on the PS3 and then spend another couple hundred on 360 for more mature games...and more money for Wii's interactive controller....sometimes i just wish that they made a supersystem...i know its probably stupid and please dont rant about how stupid it is but you look at game developers like Rockstar, with the GTA series...it took them that long to figure out what they needed to do to become the best of the series(San Andreas)...and then they release VC stories and LC stories which have nothing that GTA San andreas had...just learn to improve with each game and not to go back to their old insignificant ways....Overall i don't have over a thousand dollars to buy the sytems i need to have the best time gaming...ArghhHutch_182

Thats why i never bought Nintendo console,never in my life though. From NES vs master system to this generation.I never felt like im goin into mario etc. But thats me hehe.Other ppl that grew up with these characters are fans and got great time with them. So if youre one of them then you choose the right console for you and try buy games that you like and got fun of your console. Cheers

well of course SMG is a mature game :P , you know with all the mature star collecting, and the scary volcanoes, and that scary monster thst looks like a teddy bear, and those other scary monsters that look like some kind of fluffy tropical fruite, and mushrooms... they scared the crap out of me.

NIntendo does not make Mature/adult Only games. This is one of the biggest + for Nintendo. :D

So far on the Wii there has been one good Mature game, and it was a port. I want mature content, and mature storyline, not just regular cliche stories. It doesn't even have to be M rated!

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't see the words "blood", "gore", "violence", or "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" there. Maybe they're asking for games that simply feel as though they were designed with a more mature crowd in my mind.

The thing is that as an example of a "mature" game, he gives manhunt 2 (Resident evil 4 rules!!!). Manhunt 2 isn't a mature game, the story is ridiculous and is only a pretext to let you slash people. This implies that for him a mature game is a gore game. That a game to be mature has to be bloody. Well I'm a gamer from the old generation, I grew up with the NES and SNES and maybe this is why I have another point of view than Hutch 182, but to me what makes a game mature is its story, for instance FF VI is more mature than manhunt, yet fou don't see any blood.

Well, one could make the argument that those were simply the first two games that struck him/her, off the top of their head, as aimed at a mature crowd (once again, versus Mario, which seems aimed at a wider demographic). I would've let it go, personally, but some people read that, put words into their mouth (post), and than continued on to use that as a jumping grounds to fling unnecessary insults. It just bothers me to see that.

then spend some money get a 360 or a ps3 and leave the wii to the 10 yr old, the retirement homes and the ppl who dont want to grow up because thier toys-r-us kids. the bottom line is nintendo sticks with its roots. it was made for kids and it will stick for kids, ull get the occaisional tease but thats just to keep u happy.

I think Nintendo gets a lot of hassle they don't really deserve, in this respect.

Nintendo and Capcom have shown that even mature, violent, bloody, horror games can be great on Wii. (Fatal Frame 4 was even announced for Wii recently.)

Suggesting that someone buy a PS3 or Xbox360 for mature titles is only helping to solidify the idea that a console defines it's games. In my opinion, it's games that define a console and being just over a year old, you can't rule anything out. Instead we should be suggesting to developers (and Nintendo) that they be more open to the idea of making mature games for Wii.

Sure, Nintendo won't advocate violence like Sony or Microsoft, but it's really up to the developers to design mature games.

Most wii owners went into their purchase knowing there would be very few mature games for the console. You should have known that and bought a 360 or ps3 instead. I for one want fun games and the wii has definitely delivered.

Metroid has some fun shooting, for both adults and kids.

Pokemon is pretty kidish, but i know some people in high school that play it.

Nintendo gives you a good veritty. If you wanted shoot peoples heads off games then go for 360 and PS3.
