Fire Emblem Awakening release

It's finally here tomorrow, for the ones that did not get it early or Canadians that is.  I wonder what those art books will look like, probably not the Hyrule Historia like version selling in Japan.  So who will be doing what for the game?  I will probably do Hard mode and have a boost in skill.  Lunatic was just way too hard.

Picking up my copy tomorrow. My first Fire Emblem game. It looks awesome.

I'm going to have to call Best Buy tomorrow morning and make sure. :(

I tried walmart, target, best buy, and of course gamestop, and none of them has it in yet. :(

I'm sad 'cause I was supposed to get a three day weekend with the game. 

*sigh* The gamestop that I preordered the game at has no idea when they're going to get the shipment.>.>

Amazon still has the sixth as my estimated delivery date but has not shipped yet. I hope I get it by this weekend at least.

Maybe I should just download it and get the physical copy when I can find it cheap... :cry:

I preordered too but the store where I preordered did not receieve any copies because of a shipping delay. I was told I could have to wait until Friday. Blah.

Just tried buying on my lunch today and EB told me they are only giving out to people that Pre-ordered it. Said it wont be avalible for a few weeks. So dissapointed but I guess i'll keep playing Tales of the Abyss until then. Worst release for a game ever!!!!

My copy should arrive by Wednesday from Amazon, which is fine by me since Wednesday is my only day off this week :D

I have to say, I BETTER still get the art book.

Eh, i cancled my Amazon pre-order and downloaded the game from the Nintendo e-shop instead. I need to put my 32 gig memory card to use anyway.

The game is amazing. I put my headphones on, started the game and time just slipped away.

My adventure today: I went to school, and during my two hour break, after some piano practice I decided to drive around town to see if any of the local stores have a copy because I would usually go to the stores in the town I actually live in, which is 10 or so miles away. Tried Gamestop, where I instantly saw that they wouldn't have any copies the second I said the word "Fire". I went to the Target next door, and after waiting 15 minutes for the clerk to get her act together, she said that they have copies but they can't sell them until Wednesday for some dumb reason.

Long story short if my Gamestop pre-order doesn't come in by Wednesday then I will try to get a copy at Target.... I already have the artbook so if I don't manage to get a copy on Wednesday I will have to make a difficult choice...

Worst release for a game ever!!!!

I wouldn't go that far given the fact Fire Emblem games always in high demand vs available supply. You have to wonder how many stores gave out all their copies early and are now using the "can't sell before x date" or our shipment is "delayed until x date". I know there has been reports of delays, but it can also be a convenient way to lie.

I was lucky enough today to get the last copy my local EB Games had. The annoying part is that I was the first person there when they opened and when I called back on the 30th or 31st the person on the phone said they weren't giving preorders or selling them early. It turned out they were... and I missed out getting my art book due to some idiot who clearly didn't take the 5 seconds to ask another employee what was going on. I know I shouldn't complain seeing as I have a copy.... but come on dude! One of the reasons I ordered was to make sure I would get a copy and the art book was a bonus.... almost missed out on both because of their fudge up. 

I broke down and bought the eShop version. Having to go digital left a bad taste in my mouth, but at least I got to spend plenty of time with the game today. 

And I'm really enjoying it! :D

Went to Best Buy and Gamestop since they are the closest. Neither had it. Ended up buying the eShop version. I'll see if at one point someone is selling just the case and manual online.

Fire Emblem: Awakening was the reason I purchased a 3DS XL back in December. So far the game is fantastic. :D

I broke down and bought the eShop version. Having to go digital left a bad taste in my mouth, but at least I got to spend plenty of time with the game today. 

And I'm really enjoying it! :D

I guess not. :P I'm crazy about Fire Emblem. 

If my Amazon order doesn't ship by tonight I'll probably try to find it at my local Target tomorrow and then just return the Amazon copy when it arrives.

bah, I walk into gamestop yesterday and they tell me that the shipment would arrive today. I walk in today, and guess what? "the shipment is scheduled to arrive tomorrow." I want my damn fire emblem! :evil:

at least I work the AM shift tomorrow, so I'll still have a good amount of time to play.

Imagine what this game will sell for in a few months to a year if most stores only receive a few shipments here and there. I picked mine up first thing yesterday before work and by the time I got home I already saw people putting it up for $80-$125 on amazon.ca and ebay.ca. I know there is nothing stopping people from buying multiple copies through different stores and online, but it does suck for those who didn't get a preorder in quick enough. Even though it turned out to be an okay game I remember when I picked up my Diablo 3 CE at a midnight release. One guy had maybe 5-6 copies of the Collectors Edition and I overheard that he was going to sell them for almost double online. Sucks that as gamers we do this to one another. 

And can someone explain to me why Myrmidons are so edgy(no pun intended) around women??El_Zo1212o

I'm waiting another week or so to get the game.

Too bad the demo is the most minimalistic thing I've ever seen. I mean they won't even let you choose a female character, or change the skin color.... it's all restricted. The first 2 levels are such a frustratingly (yet tantalizingly) small sample!

This is the best game ever. 

Chapter ten is the most epic battle I've ever seen from the series. Gave me chills.

Yeah, I got that email too---and I've had it preordered for months! There seems to be some hangup w/ 3DS stuff in particular w/ them, though in this case other people are having problems too at least. I've got a pre-order of Devil Summoner w/ them that I'm thinking I'll cancel.

I preoder from cduniverse.com and I'm left waiting, something about not having any in stock yet or some b.s...

Luckily I was able to secure a copy at Bestbuy. Can't wait to play it!
