[QUOTE="Legolas_Katarn"]Was able to get mine along with my artbook. One of the first lines, "let's kill this dastard...." They really need to stop doing that. Please don't have any "moldy onions" in this game. I'm missing the fan translation of Fire Emblem 4 already.Meinhard1Well, the reviews have said spoken highly of the game's localization, so hopefully this error is anomalous. It's not an error, it's just stupidity. Ever since Fire Emblem 9 or 10 they started to spell bastard as dastard and to replace any other kind of swears with phrases like "moldy onions" to replace damn. The more sensible thing would be to just write a script without any kind of swearing.

It's already a T, and its not like kids should play the game anyways.[QUOTE="Meinhard1"][QUOTE="Legolas_Katarn"]Was able to get mine along with my artbook. This sums it up nicely

Well that dumb. I pretty sure I heard Sully say damn a couple times through.

As I get further in based on the dialogue I'm starting to think that might have just been a joke at the expense of the last few games (never did play Fire Emblem 12 though since it stayed in Japan). What would it add to the game? The fact the characters can procreate plays a part in the story anyways.People should really just wait. lol
Anyways, why is there still no gay marriage in Fire Emblem? It is 2013, come on.
Sora278
My local Gamestops, Targets, and Best Buys do not have it yet. I shall check again on Friday.
I could download it now, but I hate how it's tied to the 3DS and its cartridge art makes me want the physical copy.
It's so simple yet amazing.
Ike and Soren were close.People should really just wait. lol

Anyone know how to use a Reeking Box? I want to grind the last few levels on my cavilears before I promote them, without doing the download map 30 times.darkspineslayer
On the map, press X, go to inventory, and then use it. You can even activate it from the convoy.
My play time is at 23:59.
So in the three days I've had it, I've spent almost exactly a third of my time playing it.
No regrets. :P
18 hours for me. I haven't closed the game since it finished downloading. My play time is at 23:59.

My god, I've been playing it almost non-stop and I'm only at 18:46 0_0 though with resets I'm fairly sure it's really been another several hours. What chapter are you on pixel? My play time is at 23:59.

Only several hours? I restart like crazy as soon as someone dies. They keep on getting critical hits!!!!!!!!!!

I do the same, but the only critical hit I've taken was because I hadn't realized that one enemy was carrying a Killing Edge. So what is everyone doing with their avatars? I got him up to level 20 and used a Second Seal to turn him into a myrmidon.[QUOTE="Pixel-Perfect"]My god, I've been playing it almost non-stop and I'm only at 18:46 0_0 though with resets I'm fairly sure it's really been another several hours. I think I was on chapter 15.
Anyways, I got my first street pass hit! :D
I walked to 7 stores during this blizzard, each one claiming that they have copies, and coming out empty-handed because they either ran out or only had downloadable codes. It was the last store that finally told me that they'll have more copies by the end of the month.
Is it worth the download? I feel like cancelling my pre-order and downloading it, but I would much rather have the physical copy knowing that it's not tied to my 3DS and I won't loose it if anything happens to my handheld.

I hope Nintendo is aware of these delays.
^^^^^ Bro, just get the physical copy.
If anyone lives in the SF Bay Area, specifically around Fremont I have an extra copy I don't need.
With Nintendo I thought that you are able to get your downloads back as long as they are registered on Club Nintendo, which should happen automatically if you signed up for it and register your 3DS/Wii/WiiU. If it works for VC games I don't see why it wouldn't for anything else. If there really isn't a way to get it back, then damn, I really feel bad for the people that try to defend the way Nintendo does things. Is it worth the download? I think I made the right decision for me. Buying retail games from the eShop is a really unappealing prospect, but I obviously got a lot of playtime with it over my three day weekend as planned. I probably would have spent a lot of that time sulking over my lack of Fire Emblem anyways. :P
Since you've held out this long already, I would try to hold out for a physical copy... More and more people seem to be getting their hands on them now. Still, this whole situation sucks. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Either way, it will have been worth the wait, I promise! I haven't finished it yet, but I'm thinking this is my favorite in the series.
Thanks for the replies.
I've decided to play past FE games and familiarize myself with the important characters (Naga?) while I wait for my copy to arrive. The wait is killing me though. :P
I wonder what caused this massive delay...
It seems like this is sold out everywhere in my area. I wasn't planning on getting it right away but after hearing all the positive reviews from critics and people here, I thought I would check it out. Seems like i'm too late though. I've actually been streetpassing a lot of people lately who are playing it right now; lucky them!
I've decided to try out Sacred Stones though. Downloaded it as part of the ambassador program and never touched it. I must say it's surprisingly fun; I don't usually play grid based RPGs but i'm really liking it so far. How does Awakening compare to Sacred Stones? If it's much better, i'm gonna be in for a real treat once it's available again.
I'd say it's better, I really like way you can fight in pairs in awakening, that they finally made building supports useful, and after Sacred Stones they brought back skills. I'd say 4, 5, 9, and Awakening (don't know if I'd count it as 11 or 13 with the last two being remakes) are my favorites. How does Awakening compare to Sacred Stones? They should call it Fire Emblem: Amazing, because that's what this game is.
However, I'm on chapter 11 and worried my party is a bit over powered...
EDIT: Chapter 10 was just beautiful.

You have to try levelling other people up. I only have a few people that have not really been touched.

I bought Sacred Stones on launch day way back in the day. It was my all time favorite GBA game, and I was so sure it would be my favorite Fire Emblem game ever. Then I played FE: Awakening. The story is compelling and the characters are vivid. The support conversations are amusing, and when you get that S rank, they're downright charming. And now you're not limited to just a few per character, either- you can explore the bonds between all the characters a deeply as you care to. It looks like there will likely be a creature campaign at the end of the game, too, so the story doesn't need to end with the final boss. The new mechanics like the dual attack/defend, being able to change classes- even to the point of changing a character's base class, and other additions make this hands-down the best TBS game I've ever played.I'd say it's better, I really like way you can fight in pairs in awakening, that they finally made building supports useful, and after Sacred Stones they brought back skills. I always tried to balance my party out, but not to the point where you have 6 or 7 jacked up characters. They should call it Fire Emblem: Amazing, because that's what this game is.

Got my copy yesterday through the mail, & I'm loving it ever since. I got past chapter 3, I prefer to go at my own pace.
Besides, I got bunch of games to be playing too :P.
