BTW, any thoughts on a publisher? Will Sega pick this up again? It seems more like a capcom game IMO. Ubisoft perhaps?Head_of_games

I was actually shocked to hear that they didn't have a publisher for this yet, I'm guessing Sega is going to pick it up depending on how well The Conduit sells.. or maybe it's just too early in the dev process and they don't want to worry about a publisher altering their focus or pushing up their deadline.

EA actually might be a good publisher.. they have said they wan't to step up and provide better Wii experiences.. I'm afraid they would do something to ruin it though -_-

Yep like make it to where you can play with Mii's and turn the enemies into Mii-ish looking characters. I'm thinking more along the lines of Ubisoft picking this up.

A new monster for The Grinder announced: the Miimic! A monster that copies the faces of Miis on your Wii!... Actually, that would be so terrible, it'd be awesome.

This looks really interesting. The only issue I have with Wii FPS' with dual gun usage is that you can'tindependently aim both guns for example, you can't aim the left gun to an enemy on the left side of the screen and aim the right gun at an enemy on the right side of the screen. If they can do that, I'll be sold already.

nini200

Maybe it's just me but I don't think i've seen that in any other fps. You're right though, if they can do that it would just make the game even sweeter.

Yes! This looks great, and definantly makes up for Gladiator, which I wasn't too hot about.

I have a feeling this will be much more popular that Gladiator. It looks kinda like Van Hellsing meets the Wild West and I'm down with that. I'll certainly keep my eye on this one

Well, I can't say I'm a big fan of zombie shooters, but what I CAN say is that I love online co-op. So I'll keep an eye out.

I'm not into super bloody games--and I think HVS needs to remember, as I said before with Gladiator, that hardcore doesn't mean buckets of blood. I think The Conduit will sell. These two new games from them seem to have too specific audiences. I appreciate HVS's work, and I think they're doing a fantastic job of creating games that push the Wii's hardware. But, I think they're getting a little too ambitious. The Conduit isn't even out yet. They might be digging themselves into a pretty deep hole. I hope I'm wrong.

Being that The Conduit is ratedT, don't you think HVS knows that?

Yep. That's the point. The Conduit will sell because it's a rated T FPS. The Grinder and Gladiator are ultra-violent, bloody horror/fighting games, and there isn't a huge audience for those on the Wii. Could be wrong though.

i think what hvs is aiming to do is create a reputation with a good accessible wii title so that more people who wouldnt normally buy a m rated game will buy this cause it will be like ZOMG, THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE CONDUIT!!!! (the proposed boxart even has "High Voltage Software present")

This looks like it could be good. I certainly give high voltage a lot of credit. They are giving the Wii tons of support even though most of their games will probably fail in terms of sales.

The guns do look pretty sick but one thing I learned from gaming is that dual pistols = flashy action shooter game.

but in unrelated news, There should be some No More Heroes 2 scans popping up tonight.

bc1391
flashy action like counterstrike?hmmm....

remember RE4 and COD WAW are both +17 and both already kicked the million mark a while ago. And yes, the onrails mature games too, beat million marks rather easily. So they have their market, and they know it.

wow.. this game actually manage to hyped me, no many games does this... I read tru IGN interview.. and I like what I read.. and the tracks sound pretty nice... :) hope it would play good, have good camera :)

from the interview...

IGN: You supporting WiiSpeak? Leaderboards? Achievements? If there are achievements, can you give us some examples?

Kerry: Those are three very good ideas. [Smiles] Our goal is to provide gamers with all the bells and whistles that they deserve. We are evaluating a number of options for the game and those three are among them.

Matt: I believe that WiiSpeak is a no-brainer, considering the fact that it already work for The Conduit's multiplayer modes. We can definitely expect to see it working in The Grinder. And more details regarding Leaderboards, Achievements, and other online gaming awesomeness will be coming soon.

Eric: WiiSpeak is definitely an important component for a cooperative game, so that's something we intend to include. Leaderboards and Achievements are certainly big factors when it comes to replayability and this is definitely a game that we want people to get many hours of replay from.

Kerry: As to the specifics on the achievements, we are not yet able to give specifics but you can be assured that they will be in there and that the gaming public will play a role in defining what they are.

Well I guess we can expect wiispeak for sure :P

Thx for the news TC... :)

It is a totally different type of FPS aside from the type of enemies you kill though.. its like comparing halo to left 4 dead. Both fps's, but completely different animals.

Its a proven winning formula, Left for dead is awesome, it boosters teamwork, cooperation and saving your team mates from horrible deaths. You dont just shot like a maniac and run. Doing so might get you kicked from team lol. Anyway, this type of games is really good, not explored fully in either consoles(Halo 3 and a few others on 360, Resistance on ps3 and LFD of course but not that heavily), and is filling another tiny gap in Wii department, sure Onslaught is there but something more meaty was in order, and here it is.Checking all the empty boxes in games i guess.Fine by me.

That would be cool if you could control a group of monsters to try kill the hunters. Perhaps show the game from the monsters' point of view when playing as them.
