the donkey kongs on the nes, snes and n64 are owned by both rare and nintendo....so if anything is to be done to those games, for exapmle, like a remake, or porting to another console etc...nothing can happen unless both nintendo and rare agree upon it...but now micrsoft has bought rare, but in the agreement, nintendo retained some rights to the franchise...you have to remember that all DK games were made before MS bought rare, this is including even the bongo games....microsoft bought rare towards the end of the last gen console lifetime...and no new DK game was made since, so microsoft will decide now if they want a DK platformer on their console or not....and since microsoft owns rare, and rare owns the DK IP, nintendo cant get any other developer to make a DK game...so in essence, a FULL DK GAME can only be on the 360 or any succesors to the 360.....COMPRENDE?

Wow, you know nothing about this. Time to get schooled.
the donkey kongs on the nes are owned by both rare and nintendo...
Ironre5
Donkey Kong games on the NES were made by Nintendo. Rare didn't take over for the series until Donkey Kong Country on the SNES.
nothing can happen unless both nintendo and rare agree upon it...
Ironre5
Wrong.
but now micrsoft has bought rare...nintendo cant get any other developer to make a DK game.
Ironre5
So wrong.
microsoft bought rare towards the end of the last gen console lifetime...
Ironre5
That's weird, because I could've sworn that MS bought Rare in 2002, not at the end of the last gen at all...weird indeed.
you have to remember that all DK games were made before MS bought rare, this is including even the bongo games....
Ironre5
All Donkey Kong games came out before 2002?
Even this one? How about this one? And this one, too? Wait, this one also seems to have come out before 2002.
And thesetwo came out within the past year...in fact, that 2nd one came out for the Wii.
And Rare had nothing to do with any of them...weird, huh?
microsoft will decide now if they want a DK platformer on their console or not....and since microsoft owns rare, and rare owns the DK IP, nintendo cant get any other developer to make a DK game...so in essence, a FULL DK GAME can only be on the 360 or any succesors to the 360
Ironre5
Wrong, wrong, and...wrong.
....COMPRENDE?
Ironre5
No, no comprende. Sorry.
