I don't know what you consider to be 'Steak', Jasonguy, but the new issue Official Nintendo Magazine UK arrived for me today and they have given it 85%.
Their closing points:
+ Top-notch Presentation
+ All-out arcade action
+Laugh out loud funny
+Fantastic character design
- Gets repetitive fast.
Closing Comments: Great fun in short bursts, Madworld is a quality title with buckets of gore, $tyle and humour.

I'm glad you like Matt Cassamawhatdoyouknowthatthisthingplaysgamecubegames, I'll wait until steak does a review

Personally, I don't think there's any game reviewer that would meet that bar, and I think that's a problem, really. We need our own Roger Ebert. :P

Matt Cassaheyjustwaitkidicarusfans is the worst reviewer right now

Why not go to a real store?
why not go to eb games? what makes it not a real store.anyways who gives a fricing crap about him using words like stupid waggle thats what it is it not motion geusters its waggle youi waggle the wii remote around intil the guy dies stupid sounds like the right name to me like someone said before you need to watch some fox news for what your looking for. i prefer he methods gets the point accrose better like if the sound is suckish in a game well if he says the sound is lacking in some aspects hmmm... or the sounds isnt good or its stupid idc which one just make it simple and thats what he does.

That doesn't tell us what reviewer you think is a "steak". I assume there is at least one reviewer you consider to be good, or you wouldn't have made your comparison comment. Out with it! :PIf you are meaning to say there AREN'T any good reviewers then simply say so. Although I would consider your steak comment rather silly, as you don't believe there is one. It would be like saying "Although I've never tasted it, I prefer steak." :P
Guys, PLEASE support this game! Unless you completely hate it or aren't allowed too, you should purchase Madworld. I mean, let's say that Jason is right and it doesn't deserve a nine. Well none the less the game is awesome and deserves no lower than an eight, and if you are going to buy a game please buy this one so that devs see that Wii games of any amount of "hardcore"-ness can succeed. Head_of_games
Eh, to be honest it doesn't look that interesting to me. It might be amusing for a little while, but I personally can do without a game featuring things such as rectal impalement. :P
I've never quite understood the cries that I've seen repeatedly that everyone must buy MadWorld because otherwise it'll be casual games forever on the Wii. If MadWorld isn't the particular kind of game I'd like to see more of, it would seem rather strange for me to buy it to encourage devs to make more.

This attitude kills me. Buying games you may or may not like just because of the tone of the game doesn't ensure good games down the road it just ensures the same mediocre titles. this game with a different coat of paint could be a cake punching game. "hardcore" visuals don't mean anything.
but I personally can do without a game featuring things such as rectal impalement. :PGabuExOh man, that makes it sound like a completely different genre alltogether, lol. :O

I guarantee you that right now all eyes are on Madworld. While many third-party developers may seem incredibly stupid, they actually do have some brains. Right now the best selling games are Wii Play and Wii Fit. Meanwhile,Metroid Prime Three: Corruptionsellsrelatively few copies. Therefore, like the birdmen they are, the third-parties make games like those that are succeeding. Right now they are watching to see if pure "hardcore" games can actually sell, and if they conclude they can there is no doubt in my mind that there WILL be more games for the "hardcore". I'm not saying Madworld can single-handedly bring death to shovelware, but it combined with the efforts of The Conduit and other upcoming games can hopefully put a noticeable dent in the wall of bad games at your local walmart. I'm not saying that you should buy the game if it doesn't interest you at all, but if you like the genre for goodness sakes support it!
you should never have to buy a game that you dont want to, there is no reason to buy something to "support" the wii getting more hardcore titles because honestly it will not make a difference. You buy something because you like it and because you want more of it. Madworld is a cool game and is very unique in it's presentation. Personally I think this should have been delayed and more features added, the developers when asked said they would consider making a sequel depend on this one did and it kinda feels like they didn't try as hard as they could have in making the game great. Also this really isnt the kind of game that you make sequels for, the style is too unique and a sequel would feel like a cheap imitation to the original. Plus there is only so much you can do to alter the gameplay which basically consists of different ways of killing people.
I dunno maybe it's just me but the stuff that they left out seems to be a big detriment to people buying this game and it seems like they decided not to go all out and include some very basic features which would have really increased the game's replay value.

Most eyes. Not all. Don't exaggerate. I'm looking forward to this game but I don't see how anyone would buy a game in order to support it just cause it may be good. Sounds kinda ignorant. Get a game cause u want it not cause its has high ratings and we should support it.It would have been much to risky for them to spend a ton of money and put in absolutly everything they could think of. They had to test the water to see if a game like that would even have a chance, so we have madworld 1. If it succeeds, Platinum Games said they would love to make Madworld 2. And who says you should buy the game if it doesn't interest you? But if it does interest you, the fact that all eyes are on the game should be a strong motivation for you to purchase it, although not stronger than it simply being fun.you should never have to buy a game that you dont want to, there is no reason to buy something to "support" the wii getting more hardcore titles because honestly it will not make a difference. But it should be a good motivation if you are interested in it. If it doesn't interest you, don't get it. As I said in another thread, I'm not getting it because it's filled to the brim with F-bombs. But since there are plenty of people on this site fine with that, I just though I should point out that developers are watching this game.I guarantee you that right now all eyes are on Madworld.

You'd be wrong
Know where all the eyes were?
On Resident Evil 4 that sold 1.7 million
Know where all the eyes went?
Carnival Games and it's 3.16 million
Now Madworld tried to copy games like Carnival Games but make no mistake. Devs know these titles can sell on the Wii. They've known since launch
They don't care

Wait, did you just compare Madworld to carnival games? Yes devs have know that these games sell on Wii. But they don't sell as much, as your post shows. So if Madworld sells four million, wouldn't you say that would be encouraging to any third-parties thinking of making a "hardcore" game? Once again, supporting the game shouldn't be the main reason you buy the game, but it should be considered that if madworld sells very well it will help to bring more good games to the Wii. I can't say exactly how much it will help, but it will help.I would tend to agree with you. Add Wii Fit to that list too.
Which honestly isnt a bad thing Wii Fit is quiet innovative though it did lack a couple much needed features.
I'm hoping wii motion plus will allow for better game development as it makes it 1:1. It will be interesting to see how it does and I imagine that is why nintendo itself has not been producing titles. Zelda with motionplus will probably revolutionize gaming in terms of immersion.
a bit of a tangent there, but the point is the Wii is still a gimmicky console and that people really do value excellent graphics and crappy control schemes. The wii is very outside the bubble but i bet they will be able to attract more game developers with the motion plus.
What's that supposed to mean? IGN is # 1. Gamespot #2. Hopefully I don't get banned by putting that comment upI'll wait till an actual reviewer puts one up
Jaysonguy
IGN may not always be that acurate, but come on!
A 9 from IGN is at least worth something, even more then just something... this shows that Madworld will competing for game of the year on Wii.
This will also likely be the start of a long trend of similar reviews.

just can itThis game looks awesome and that last kill at the end was sadisticly funny but this game I will definetley like to buy along with House of the Dead OK, Muramasa, and The Conduit but now the Wii needs an RPG.
