Nintendo answers to Operation Rainfall

Directly from their official facebook page:

"Thank you for your enthusiasm. We promised an update, so here it is. We never say "never," but we can confirm that there are no plans to bring these three games to the Americas at this time. Thanks so much for your passion, and for being such great fans!"

What a slap in the face. They have to know that they are going to lose thousands of fans over this junk

Like I said in another thread in GGD, this whole movement probably isn't even worth it and I honestly doubt every single person participating it will actually pick up all three games requested.

Is Xenoblade coming out in Europe though (some sources say Sept 2. for EU, maybe you US ppls can import?)? Also: how ******* much would it cost them to slap in some subtitles?

That's really stupid on NoA's part. I wanted these games really bad and now it looks like Nintendo doesn't care about what we think after all. I guess my Wii will continue to collect dust.

I don't see what anyone sees in these games. They are obviously made for a japanese audience and have no business being released in North America. This goes especially for Xenoblade....I tried to watch some gameplay footage and was left very unimpressed. I'd understand if these games where actually anything worth getting worked up over (like say...Mother 3), but getting this whiney and demanding for what is essentially a playstation 2 game (and I'm sure is nothing really revolutionary...it just looks like yet another JRPG) is just ridiculous.

I can kind of see the fuss being made over The Last Story though, as it looks like something that should actually be released...but still...

Why the hostility? Even if you don't personally care, I don't understand why so many people seem to have a problem with fans trying to get what they want. :|

Japanese people aren't aliens, everyone else can enjoy these games too because they are great. Personally I am the most interested in Pandora's Tower though, and that one is not coming to Europe... :(

I agree. Good games are good games, and besides, every JRPG on the market is aimed at a Japanese audience. :? I mean... It's a JRPG...

I will say this though, if the whole thing comes crashing down because of a Facebook update then that's pretty pathetic. Anyone who seriously wanted the games should at least hold out until Nintendo formally addresses the issue, in my opinion.

People want some good games for their Wii, instead of just having crap like Wii Play, Conduit 2 and Mario Sports Mix for the entire year. Why so happy that they won't get these games? And yeah it is Nintendo's fault:

1. Not releasing the game despite already being in English.

2. Not having a region free console.

3. Breaking freeloaders.

If this was a PS3 game, it'd be released everywhere more then likely, and if not, could be imported and played with 0 problems on any PS3, from any territory, cos that's how Sony rolls 8) It's only natural to be ****ed off at Ninty being stuck in the past.
