When i first heard of this game i looked pretty awsome...untill i seen the trailer, i mean like c'mon, i seen a man get there head sliced clean off and then some other guys get spilt from their head to their toes clean. Thats very disturbing and this game is diffenatley crossed off my wish list. I've never liked any of those man hunt or super violent games i mean like c'mon is it neccesiary?

It is trying to make the game more mature, but I agree that adding violence isnt the only way to make a game mature, but i trust Suda and Grasshopper in making great games, just look at Killer 7, it was violent but an awesome game

So I take it that you passed on seeing movies like Kill Bill? Or playing games like RE4 or God of War. Man, you're missing out.

Kill Bill rulz!! And yes maybe too many violence is a bit gross however is the way is managed how it matters, look at RE4, the combination of gore and the story was excellent! Just as Kill Bill, lots of blood, however there was this kind of thing that made that you really didn´t care about it! I think the same will happen to No More Heroes, but I can´t say the same for Manhunt 2.

Are u serious....every game that comes out, from here to oblivion, is going to have violence in it. thats the way games are. what kind of a plot would it have if there was no battle..grow up, man up, i dunno, whatever gets u goin, but come on, its a game, just play it and have fun, slice a dudes head off. video game violence is much more legal then trying it in real life.

Yes there is blood and decapitation, but i don't think that it is that violent.

eg. Gears of War, Resident Evil Series, Manhunt, God of War etc.

QFT this movie is awesome. And for the people who say "No" No offense but you guys are JUST as bad as those people who won't buy a game just because it is NOT violent. /of story.

If you pass on games, just because they're violent, you're definitely missing out on a lot of awesome games. I like games. Period. Doesn't matter to me how violent it is, as long as it's a good game. I find it ridiculous to not play a game just because it isn't violent, but if you pass on games just because they contain violence... that's pretty ridiculous too. If the game is great, but you don't like violence - get used to it. :P You're really missing out.

lol, Gears Of War isn't that violent. I mean, yeah people get shot and there's certainly a lot of blood in it, but there's been stuff worse than that. Manhunt, Postal 2, Soldier Of Fortune, I mean come on.

Shut up that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Seriously how stupid can you be..really? I mean let's take Resident Evil 4 for example, that game is complete garbage, the reviews and critical and commercial failure of it shows so too, it was just complete garbage. Oh and let us not forget the really pile of poop called Half-Life 2, it had no innovation what so ever and what just terrible from the gameplay to the graphics to the controls. Another joke would be the Metal Gear Solid series, I mean it didn't add more depth to games or alter genres it just gave a main character with a cool name a gun and lived off of that. Truth be told, violent games are never innovative the Grand Theft Auto series is a perfect example of this. So why don't you go check up some of your facts before posting that dribbling nonsense in here.

Seriously though every game needs an epic boss battle with Jesus on Planet Saturn, where Jesus is 10,000 feet tall and picks up mountains and attack by throwing them at you. Seriously nothing can beat that....NOTHING!

hell yeah, 300 was the S***, loved it. and yeah games can be violent and gory but fun and awesome at the same time, gears of war for example. if ur sqeamish then you should avoid blood and stuff but some like the realsim that is emitted when a head is blown of or something like that.

I like violence in games. Games released on Nintendo tend to lack it as of late. This will bring some more adult credibility back to the Wii.

I like it because it's comical/cartoony violence. I don't find it violent, i think it's a bit like those cartoons where the characters just get blown up and torched every episode

300 too :)

THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!! Anyway, there is a difference in stylized violent, violence that is needed to make something realistic, and over board violence. And there is that OH GOD YES! VIOLENCE!

Stylized violence is used in much anime and movies such as Kill bill. Killer 7 used this as well. I hate to sound like a crazy person here, but stylized violence is like an art form.

Realistic violence would be found in games like RE and Metal Gear and all that. They are supposed to give you some sort of realistic feel, and in reality we all bleed. If there was no blood in these games, it would be like, kind of unrealistic.

Overboard violence like in GTA is just plain useless. Running around hitting and killing everything that comes in your way is just immature. This is also used to sell games.

OH GOD YES! VIOLENCE is found in movies and games where it is just bloody awesome. Movies like 300, Conan the Barbarian, God of War, Devil may Cry, etc. This is what defines you as a man, or a manly female...lol. If done right, it is all good in the hood.

No more heroes will be a launch pick up for me.

Is the violence necessary? I'm not sure, I've never played the game to say if it is. That, said the developer, Grasshopper, is known to make violent games (Killer 7), but It seems their games have more artistic depth then Manhunt or other killfests. I think No More Heroes isn't trying take itself too seriously with the violence because it's extremely unrealistic and has a cartoonish presentation. If I were to compare Grasshopper's games to a movie, it would be Kill Bill while stuff like Manhunt would fall under the Saw category.

Yes, especially because Nintendo isn't making this game.

Why do people assume that first parties develop all games produced for their consoles?

Gears of War is a lot more violent.
