He said it's possible, not confirmed. Infinity Ward did the same thing with CoD 4, but it turns out, dosen't fit. Same might apply with RE5.nintendoboy16Ya, but this one has a higher chance...I mean, come on, who expected RE4 to be ported to the PS2, Wii and mobile when they said that it was a Gamecube-exclusive? No one

No one True, but the only reason it was ported to the PS2 was because it didn't sell that well. Gamecube's market share was simply too small. As for RE5 on Wii I doubt it. If you listen to what he says he doesn't mention 5 specifically. He says "bring the resident evil SERIES to Wii". This could mean anything. From Wiimakes of RE2, 3, Code Veronica to an RE4 sidequest.

True, but "5" is also part of the series, so we'll never know until later.
[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]RE5 is boring anyway, its RE4.1. Even if it did come to Wii I wouldn't get it -- I like RE4 but only because the Wiimote made things easier than using analog sticks, but even then, RE4 wasn't amazing to me.alexh_99all you played was the demo though. Maybe the rest of the game is better. Then it was a crappy demo.

Feels the same -- even to the point of the characters animations, AI, level design. It just looks prettier + new story. Also the game isn't scary and the Kotaku preview also said that most of the levels are day time levels, which is part of the reason as to why it wasn't scary.

The lack of sales was partly capcoms own fault for releasing it in January. Blockbusters are ideal for March and November. Not that I think the initial boost would of convinced Capcom anyway. I personally believe they started on the PS2 edition before the GC version was out.

Anyway, I don't think RE5 is gonna be released on Wii.

Looks prettier, new gameplay mechanics(strafing, a partner that actually helps you), weapons, story and enemies. What are you complaining about, that's usually what a sequel has... man, you must really hate sequels.[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="firefox59"] Then it was a crappy demo.Icemael

I don't see enough to make me want to play the game. The only reason I liked it on the Wii was because of the controls, I was gimped when I played it on PS2 -- Also I didn't think RE4 was amazing -- and RE5 is more of the same and nothing too new, from the demo the your 'partner' was pretty useless and new weapons/story/enemies isn't enough for me to want to play the game. The only reason I would play through it is for the story, but I don't care for the RE story that much.[QUOTE="Icemael"]Looks prettier, new gameplay mechanics(strafing, a partner that actually helps you), weapons, story and enemies. Instead, look at sequels like Gears 2 or Brawl. Yeah most of the time when I game is as successful as RE4 was they try and produce another one with a new storyline. Not really any point in making drastic changes. It looks to me as if there are new things in RE5 anyways.

I'm sorry, are you one of the developers?[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]He said it's possible, not confirmed. Infinity Ward did the same thing with CoD 4, but it turns out, dosen't fit. lol over reading into it much? ...he never mention RE5 ...he said "we are thinking abt ways we could bring the Resident Evil series to the Wii..but maybe a couple of years down the track" ... that's not even mean a *maybe* ..it just means it could be another RE game - spinoff, or like umbrella chronicles type.
Getting your hopes up waaay too high there.
to me re5 on wii is unlikely trust me I loved RE4 on Wii and on GameCube and also on PS2 but we have to get real here RE5 on Wii won't happen since Wii is mostly for casual gamers(nintendo hates us) unless nintendo or other developers start giving Wii owners more interesting games like Call of Duty world at war Capcom will not realease many of there titles on WiiDavidRswiiWii is for casual gamers? I can list a bunch of hardcore games that are available now, and 50 for the future.

Dude you need a reality check because you are totally off the mark on those statements. So far Capcom has made 2 Resident Evil games for the Wii and none for the other two systems, not only that but they were both huge sellers (both games sold over a million copies). As for your comment about Capcom not releasing a lot of games on the Wii, again what are you talking about, ever heard of Zack & Wiki, it's considered one of the best 3rd party titles on the Wii and was exclusively for the Wii. How about Mega Man 9. How about the overseas sensation Tatsunoko versus Capcom. I seem to remember Okami earlier this year. Dead Rising: Chop till you drop is right around the corners. Oh, and how can I forget the megaton Monster Hunter 3, it's a Wii exclusive. Then there's also the highly anticipated Spyborgs. No Capcom support for the Wii? If anything Capcom has given the Wii some of the best support.

Pices I'm sorry, are you one of the developers? WTH? I said I don't THINK RE5 is gonna be released for the Wii... if you don't know what the word think means, look it up...why any sane wii owner wants a port of Biohazad 5 is beyond me. You want a game that is designed to make the most of the HD platforms to come to the wii where it will be so destroyed it would be like watering down gatorade. Then after we all see how poor the port turned out no one will buy it despite crying for it for ever and it will perpetuate the stereotype that 3rd party wii games can't sell. My goodness, ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AND YOU SHOULDN'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN. Ask for an exclusive game and get this nonsense of Biohazard 5 on the wii out of your head because its been said far too much.ActicEdge
exactly. it would be so watered down it would just be crap
the wii hardware can't handle re5, not by a long shot. if you want this game you really need another system besides wii. Another example of wii owners getting the shaft for stellar third parties. As far as im concerned re5 easily has the potential to be a AAA title, only time will tell but it's more than likely it will.
I have seen nothing in any RE5 vid to convince me it cannot run on the Wii. When the producer said Wii couldn't even handle the title screen, he's refering to a port, for Wii the developer would have to start from scratch like they did with RE4 on the PS2.Ganados0
Few things
1. Resident Evil 4 didn't start from scratch. It was a downgraded port
2. The Wii is in second place. You don't build from the ground up for a platform that has less potential sales
If the producer says the system can't even handle the title screen, its a good indication the system can't handle the title as a whole. They should do a game that focuses ont he wii's strengths not its weaknesses. If, hypothetically, they did release re5 for the wii it would have to be DRASTICALLY dulled down. If you want to play one of the biggest titles of 2009 ,RE5, get a ps3 or 360, . If you don't find the game that appealing you have nothing to worry about.
[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]2. The Wii is in second place.AlexSaysWhere?
Earth lol
Remember we're talking about making this from Capcom's viewpoint
Right now they can make one version for the other two consoles (That will remain nameless, I have no idea why people keep on bringing them up by name it's not like it's said right on the front of the forum DO NOT TALK ABOUT OTHER PLATFORMS)
So it's either make one version with a few simple tweaks for 45 million or use time and resources for less.
More consoles and more money will always be picked first

Ohhkay, it makes sense now.
Carry on. :P
