SSBB Review Discussion

Based on that segment and the snippets I've seen from current reviews, I'd say GS will give it an 8.0 at least, but with a suggestion to buy the game if you want some mindless multiplayer fun.

Ty much, now this game is some pretty hot reviews, if GS was on it's old rating system, what do you think SSBB woulda gotten?
I'd say a between 9.0-10
With the new one, 8.5-9.5

a lot of you are predicting that gamespot will give it 8-9. Now ssbb is a really good game, and i know that gamespot usually gives lower scores than they should be but still brawl is like a really really good game so i truly think it will get a 9.5 or up. but probably not a 10

Well if you do the Math, it will be very simple to find out what GSpot will rate SSBB.

IGN LoZ:TP= 9.5, GSpot LoZ:TP= 8.8

Not often. I usually don't even care enough to try. I just expect GS to be extra picky since the game has been delayed so much and hyped too much. But with all the recent changes in the editorial staff, it's pretty hard to say. I don't think the final score will surprise me, regardless of what it is.

Uhh, ill do some more math:

Ign SMG: 9.7 GS: 9.5

IGN SSBB: 9.5 GS: 9.3-rounded=9.5

Or

No More Heroes: IGN - 7.8, GameSpot - 9.0

Brawl: IGN - 9.5, GameSpot - 10.8 :D

You don't understand, GS rates by .5's. As in, 9.6-9.9 is impossible as of not too long ago on this website. Yeah of course 10's are rare, i bet people could find many flaws with the games that did receive 10.

I've been going to this site since i was like 8(bout 7 years ago) but I just recently made an account.

It's hard to ignore the delays in this case. We have to assume that it was delayed for fine tuning and otherwise making it a perfect game, so there really shouldn't be any major technical flaws.

Ideally, every game would be judged in a bubble of sorts, but that's not really possible and sometimes not even practical. Games have to be talked about in terms of each other, whether we want to or not. And there are plenty of other factors that create bias in the reviewers no matter how hard they try to be completely objective.

I hope it gets a 9.5 here but I wouldn't be suprise if it gets something lower, at least not lower than 8.5.

Anyway, I was wondering, are you fine playing Brawl with the Wiimote? Or are you going to play with the Classic Controllers or even with the Gamecube controllers?

Oh yeah one more thing, isn't this weekend daylight savings time, you have to set your clock one hour foward before you sleep Saturday night? I wonder who's going to get this game at midnight. People are gonna lose sleep this weekend for sure.

I hope it gets a 9.5 here but I wouldn't be suprise if it gets something lower, at least not lower than 8.5.
