But those 3 games prove that it is a decent jump in visuals, it just happens that all other games don't take advantage of the graphical hardware.

Lto_thaG

Yeah, but it needs way more proof from third party developers.I mean these are first party titles.Of course they are gonna look great.

Because third parties are in this delusion that Wii sucks.

Except for High Voltage of course, and Platinum Games

And the Wii having two games distinguishable with the GC hardware limitations? Really

Ya rly..Nothing apart from the big 3 really blow my mind.Good looking games,yes...but not a big step from the gamecube.

The Conduit, FF CC CB, Madworld....

Silent Hill, Overlord: Dark Legend, Deadly Creatures, Monster Hunter 3, Cursed Mountain, Red Steel 2. This list could keep going.

Keep it up folks. Lto_thaG's lack of knowledge of the Wii is laughable.

I see...1,2,3,4,5 games that haven't been released.And why is RS2 there..We haven't seen anything.Stop playing around. And again..Those games aren't a big step forward.

"Silent Hill, Overlord: Dark Legend, Deadly Creatures, Monster Hunter 3, Cursed Mountain, Red Steel 2. This list could keep going." Are you going to incorrectly discount these as well? Released or not the game looks how it looks. FF: CC CB is one of the nicest looking games of the year regardless of console. Great mix of technical excellence with good art design. Madworld is still pushing the tech beyond last gen. Alll the games psychobrew mentioned are great examples. People still base Wii's visuals off of what devs failed to do rather, than what has been graphically amazing.

I never said they looked bad. They are indeed goodlooking titles, but not a big step forward from the GC.

That is my point they are the games that are beyond the GC that is why other people starting listing good examples.

It looks like it pushed the Wii hardware and it could not look that good on GC.

as close as possible, not exactly like a ps3 360 game

VGobbsesser

It's still a pretty large gap between the capabilities of the system; "As close as possible" isn't saying much.

They did actually try. I believe they had come very close during development at one point, but they said theyhad to tone it back down because the framerate went all jittery, so the console couldnt handle it. My best guess would be they had tolower the resolution of the textures or something.Although I wouldnt quote me on that, I dont remeber where I read this exactly, all I remember was it was a proper interview.

Nevertheless, If you want 360 graphics, shouldnt you just play a 360 game? They said they would try and they did, but its not like people were expecting it to look like GeoW. If its any consolation, the game looks great in motion, by far the best graphics. The screens just dont do it justice, sadly.

A sequel probably will see splitscreen and 16 player online. They stumbled across some breakthrough at the end of The Conduit development.
