From what I understand the "3/10" from the end of the video is not meant to indicate anything. I beliave Nintendo will wait to have a strong and impressive E3 presence then release it soon after the hype has built for it.

I swear if there isn't a boat load of info from E3 I'm going to plotz right then and there. I do subscribe to the theory that we will get information on the technology that goes into the varia suit. Including the morph ball.

I just want to know how much of the game is 2d platforming, how much is First Person, how much is third person, and so on.

Since it's a "summer" title in Japan, I can see it being released in Fall 2010. I'll wait for more gameplay videos at E3and then I'll hype more. Does Nintendo want to hype for E3 or what? E3 is in June.

Maybethe 2010 date isn't a release date but a date we'll get more info or a trailer. Seeing how the teaser sight just went up.

I can't wait to have more info on this game, is by far my most hyped game this year, i've love this franchise and i like how they intend to go deeper in Samus story.

My only fear is that it's going to have anime styled cutscenes, character designs, and cheesy music. Unfortunately, a lot of this has already been confirmed by the website and teaser.

IMO, they should try to go as western as possible. Metroid has always done better with western audiences and their is no need to alienate them.

Take Adam Malkovich for example:

In fact when I first saw the Other M trailer at E3, I thought it was going to be your typical overstylized lame japanese game. Then Metroid popped up and I was like "holy muffins". Thankfully the latter half of the trailer was much better. As for the music, I'm judging that on what was present on the website. I'm not big on the cheesy slow piano music. The music in the trailer was fine.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm still looking forward to the game like crazy. These things aren't going to stop me from playing it. Really, I'm just complaining for the sakes of complaining. With so little information to go on, I've analyzed the trailer for the last seven months and am now probably a little over-critical. One strange thing I did notice in the trailer was in the fight between Mother Brain and Samus, she isn't wearing the gravity suit like at the end of Super Metroid. Either this is a mistake or there will be another fight Mother Brain.

Lets ope the game is good

Pre-ordering doesn't really have an advantage over here, as in Europe we seldomly get pre-order bonuses. But usually when you pre-order, you get a call from the store as soon as they received the game, which can sometimes be several days before the official release date, and even before the game is in the shelves. This already led me to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! sooner than usual. I'm hoping to get Metroid: Other M a few days earlier as well, which is why I pre-order it. I haven't looked this forward to a game since Banjo-Tooie, I think.

I do find the Japanese style a bit awkward though. Even Samus seems to have Japanese facial structures for the first time ever, for as far I can remember.
