Very Awesome!!! Can't wait!!!

CGI Other M Trailer Released Wanted gameplay, but CGI is still good. Voice acting is good so I don't know what people were complaining about.Haziqonfire

Several things to note:

1. Samus is extremely attractive with short hair. I hope we see more of this version of Samus and hopefully have the option to play as her in the next iteration of Super Smash Bros.

2. The cinematics are extremely well done. Hopefully, the actual gameplay and story hold up as well.

3. Samus' voice acting in the trailer sounded many times better than it did in the leaked gameplay. Were they using placeholder voices in the leaked video? I sure hope they were. Samus' voice in the trailer suited her extremely well.

4. Did I mention that Samus looks really hot? :P

I'm so torn by this game. The more I see of it, the less I like it. But its freakin' Metroid! How can I pass it up? Oh, woe is me!

Game looks like its going to take itself to serious. Voice acting seems subpar. I dont like the tone but good or bad everyone will flock towards it and love it.

Are my ears playing tricks on me or was the voice actor for Samus in the trailer different than the one in the leaked video? If so, could this be taken as confirmation that the horrible voice acting in the leaked video was just a placeholder?

It may have been a stand-in voice actor in the demo. It may have changed. If you remember Travis in No More Heroes sounded completely different than he did in the actual released game.

I hope that is the case. The voice acting was far more superior in the trailer than it was in the leaked demo.

I haven't heard anything about this "leaked poor voice acting" until just now. As it stands I think the VO is great! Hearing Samus speak sends tingles to all ofmy favorite body parts :P

Agreed! Nintendo has listened and given fans everything they have been wishing for. For example if there were no voice acting, people would be complaining. If there were no story people would be complaining. If there were no cutscenes people would be complaining. Nintendo fans are very picky and complain about everything, but we have to understand Nintendo is really trying to give us a GOY contender before the 2010 holidays! That's huge guys! Trust in Nintendo (looks at Metroid Prime as an example). Play the game first and then talk....but right now I agree so far the game is looking beautiful!

Yeah, you guys are right. I just remembered that in the leaked video when it showed older long haired Samus that that mole on her face stuck out like crazy for me and when it didn't immidiately jump out at me on this picture I thought it was gone altogether, but I see it now. (What a strange topic I brought up!)

I don't know. I'm trying to keep an open mind about the game, but I'm just not sure. When Prime came out, I wasn't sure at first either, but the more I saw the more I thought "Ok, this really works and is going to be great." With other M, I'm not getting that. Maybe its because I never read the Manga, or, that is to say, never cared enough about Samus' backstory to read the manga.

I hear ya! But if you liked Super Metroid I have a feeling this game will be on par if not better than that one (l'm willing to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt). Personally, I also believe Metroid's story is much better than Halo's cliched story. And don't get me started on Halo and how they seemed to try and copy Samus' look and feel...but it's about time they gave Metroid a game that delved into its interesting and deep story. Playing Metroid is much more exciting when you know what drives Samus...her past.....read the Magna its worth a read, I kid you not you will look at Metroid in a whole different light afterwards.

I can vouch for that; you wouldn't think that Metroid would translate very well into a comic setting (and in some of them it doesn't really, the Nintendo Power comic for Super Metroid for example is pretty hokey), but the one concerning Samus' past and backstory is a really, really good series.

I remember when nintendo released the "CAPTAIN N THE GAME MASTER" manga starring SAMUS ARAN as one of the main characters. The sory focus on a love triangle between samus, kevin and the princess of video land. In that series samus was pure bad a** and very seductive. The story was well written and the artwork was a 10 out of 10. I have never played a bad metroid game and I'm trilled that samus has voice now in metroid other M. This game can't come soon enough. There so many metroid fans out there it must be hard for nintendo to keep topping each previous chapter but I have faith in them. Other M looks GREAT! sakura_hayamasa

Nintendo is finally letting the interesting world of Metroid come alive. The story was always too minimalist for me.

I am very excited about metroid after watching that trailer. I might get it on day one.

I really like the colors they chose for the suit in this one. The way the look of the enemies stand out from the background is also interesting
