Do this, go to start and go to run, in the run window type "cmd" with no quotes

Now when the run window pops in please type in "ping www.gamespot.com" that's a space between the ping and the www and no quotes.

Let me know what speed you're getting "like 44ms" and then let me know what timezone you're in?

Basically it's seeing how fast this site responds to a ping. The speed has just not been up to par and I want to check more places around the country to see how fast Gamespot is getting back to people. I'm going to email them next week about it so it'd be terrific if they knew it was happening more places then just here.

Man I would have been screwed if I would have been a part of the forums when I was in college a few years ago I would have been screwed. I was so easily distracted from school work; I'm only slightly distracted from real work knowing that my job depends on me finishing!

My Gamespot activity plummeted while I was at college. It wasn't that I was studying all the time.... I was just more occupied with all the fun stuff there was to do. But the only time I did get on Gamespot was when I was at my computer trying to write a paper. I would always wait till the last minute to start work on a paper, though, so I couldn't afford to be distracted for long.

It all worked out in the end. It was kind of tough getting back in the Gamespot groove this past year, since the forums had changed quite a bit and I didn't know most of the people here any more. I'm pretty much back on my feet now.

How much did you get ??? Here in Vermont we only got 4 inches.

In Vancouver we got...3 inches...maybe...I'm talking total snow this Winter.

Gamer's Instinct? I joined a couple months ago, but I haven't received a single survey request. This is probably because I only own a Wii for the current generation. They send surveys relevant to your own experiences.
