The Official Off-Topic Lounge: Wii Version

Well, I was GOING to take a picture right now, but my brother took our camera to a friend's house.

And Jordan, I was wondering what your favorite console of last gen was? And there's no hard feelings if it wasn't the Gamecube. :P

I'm a guy that comes to Gamespot for gaming previews, news, reviews, and gaming discussion on the forums. I own all of last gens consoles and a Wii from this generation, and probably a 360 owner in the near future. I really like to come on here and write reviews. I have written a good bit of them and I can see that my writing skills are improving a bit. My earlier reviews are pretty crappy, and my new ones aren't top notch I know, but I am getting better.

I'm 18, high school grad, Christian, who isn't sure what he wants to do next in life. I have a full time job as a janitor at my high school, and hope to get started in college as soon as I figure out what I am going to do there.

I used to think the same thing. Then I realized that people who reply are only a tiny percentage of the people who actually read them.

I tend to post mainly in three ways - 1) to answer questions, 2) to agree with someone and elaborate or add something to their post, and 3) to disagree. The third type gets the highest response percentage, because the person usually wants to either defend his opinion or concede. Ask Jaysonguy about that last one. I like to disagree with him.

I'm not sure that this is the safest topic, but my answer is as safe as you can get. I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite. I easily have the most Gamecube games, but the few that I have for the XBox and PS2 were absolutely incredible. I probably spent about equal time with all of the consoles.

By the way, this was taken a couple months ago, I have...a few more Wii games to add to it since then. Not to mention every Nintendo system (and a few Sega/PS systems as well).

im so jealous some of you guys managed to keep the old school system i would do anything just to get my n64 and my all my games back and if i posted my setup i'll just look like a casual :(lolag

I'll introduce myself as well. My real name is Michael and I'm a junior in high school and live near Chicago. I've been a gamespot member for a year and I barely post(I read the forums more than post). A lot of people usually ignore what I post:(. I own an N64, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gamecube, DS, and Wii.

My other interests/activities include tennis, bowling, ping pong, math team, scholastic bowl, National Honor Society, volunteering at a hospital, and reading science fiction books(I haven't read that many lately, I'vebeen playing video games a lot more). I also focus on getting good grades(I'm in a couple of honors classes and my schedule is loadedwith AP classes next year).

That's all I have to say about myself.

Let's say you get seven games for Christmas. Do you only open one game each day and only play that game for that entire day?

Then on the next day open the second game and only play that second game. Do that over and over so it's one game opened and only one game played for as many games as you got?

Spyro Enter the Dragonfly...I used to like that game, but now I hate it. Why did I waste $30 on this piece of (blue poo on my shoe)?

Technically it's Star Soldier with an abysmal 3.5. But that's skewed since it's a re-rating of an old game that was awesome back in the day.

Rush 2 for the N64 got a 5.1. I don't know how. I spent hours on the stunt track alone in that game. It improved upon everything that was great in San Francisco Rush. Searching for the hidden keys was fun, finding shortcuts and ramps was fun, playing the "if you crash, you die" mode was fun. Everything was fun!
