Now that we know much much more about the soon to be released 3DS, what are some concerning worries that you have?

If I had nothing else I wanted I would buy one at launch, but because of the lack of games and such at launch, I realize I need to wait as there are TONS (dozens) of amazing games on the way, between the PS3 and PC. Skyward Sword as well ;). And I want a new graphics card :).
2) the 3D sweet spot. im getting all sorts of mixed reports from the media. some say theres some tolerences and other say you must hold it in exactly the right spot. so i want to test it myself before comitting any cash.osan0
I have a feeling this is highly subjective. I predict there will be a lot of debate about this with some people insisting it's rubbish and others saying that it works really well and they can't understand what all the complaints are about.
My only complaint is that there are way too many awesome games! My poor wallet...:cry::cry:

Price is the only thing that really bugs me, $250 is a lot to spend on almost anything, plus the price of the games I want (Kid Icarus, Zelda, all the mario DK etc. games that we know nothing about). Just a 3DS and 1 game will be about $300!

could be. the different and conflicting feedback were getting from the media certainly would indicate this. i really do want to try before i buy on this one.I will most likely get a 3DS eventually, but not till Nintendo releases the 2nd or maybe even third version of the 3DS.paradigm68
So you're planning on picking up a 3DS in about 3 to 5 years? Or are you one of those people naively thinking that Nintendo is going to release a substantially improved model sometime in the next 12-months? Here's a reality check: the DS Lite wasn't released until almost 2-years after the original DS, and the DSi didn't come out until almost 3-years after that.
I can understand there being no consoles for VC (should it be called "Virtual Handheld"?), seeing how the Wii already does that and the 3DS is a hendheld, not a console. I can also understand there being no GBA, heck, you can play GBA on a DSlite still, and it's not that old.
Region **** lock + there's no release date for Australia YET!!! even worst is we get it later than Japan, Europe & US & will mostlikely pay more for it :(
I know this is a crucial part of the 3DS but..its the 3D. I honestly think its useless and that its just a gimmick that is popular right now. In the future, its going to seem stupid plus i'm gonna say right now that not a lot of people will not use 3D. I'M JUST SAYIN'.
Well, just like the touch screen was on the DS, 3D is going to be a huge focus and crammed where it dosen't need to be...for the first year or two. afterwards games will probably use it to truely add something to the experience or leave it out completly. Good thing this system is a powerhouse in 2D as wellI know this is a crucial part of the 3DS but..its the 3D. I honestly think its useless and that its just a gimmick that is popular right now. I think I have a hunch who voted "no".
Anyway, the only thing I dislike about the 3DS is not the system, but the launch day games. The only one I'm remotely interested in is Super Street Fighter IV, and even then, I probably wouldn't buy it under normal circumstances. Not for $40-$50 anyway.
But it's better to get a 3DS ahead of time, instead of wanting one a few months later and not having or being able to get one.
I wont be buying it straight away im still having fun on my ds. I dont like that it's region locked, that killed it for me.
I don't like the colors they just released for it. I want the gold or purple one.
I think the system is overall unfinshed. I have a feeling the handheld with have an updated appearance released in about a year from now.
Not sure about the 3D working for me; I'm going shopping in NYC sometime in the spring so I might pop by Nintendo World and try it myself before I think about getting one.
Everything else about it I like.
[QUOTE="tomthedude"]but its 250 in the USIt's £220 here. In most places anyway, that equals $350 ;)

only $250 in US -> everywhere else its more!

No N64 and SNES games in the VC.
The Wii has those :P Why does the 3DS need them?
I think the wii VC store should be tied to the 3ds store so that you can play your games on eigther if they are compable. Just like on the PS3 you can buy PS1 games and play them on your psp without buying it again.[QUOTE="paradigm68"]I will most likely get a 3DS eventually, but not till Nintendo releases the 2nd or maybe even third version of the 3DS.dzimm

To be honest, the touch screen passes enough as a second stick (in my opinion anyway) and I personally don't think it would work to have a second screen with a touch function with a second stick. It would feel a bit uneven.I'm surprised that no one is mentioning the lack of a second analog stick this time around.

Apparently some of you don't read what the nintendo execs have said 3 hours of battery life when in full 3D mode with power saver onand 5 hours on its lowest setting with the backlight turned down power saver wont help much in this setting according to nintendo. There is no 8 hours of gameplay or 12 to 14 hours of gameplay on the 3DS your just not gonna get that with the power it will take to run the CPU GPU and the 3D screen and even the screen in 2D since it is far higher resolution the the original DS. If you want 8 hour gameplay ability stick to the original DS but dont fool yourselves into thinking you are gonna get the same amount of gameplay time on a device that is more than twice as powerful.
