hm where did it do bad,, it got great reviews lol, mariokart64fanSales wise. I think it did poorly because either people looked to the 360/PS3 versions as superior or maybe lack of interest, considering it was a WW2 shooter. Maybe Wii owners want an exclusive FPS? Though I'm really not sure.
For Wii-only owners, the last Call of Duty game was nothing special. For everyone else, the last Call of Duty game was amazing. That might be a factor. People with multiple systems would unquestionably choose a non-Wii version unless they love the Wii remote, while Wii-only owners would be rightfully skeptical of it based on CoD3. The sales might pick up once word gets around that it's actually pretty good on the Wii.
I generally don't like WWII shooters, but I rented World at War and am having fun with it. The campaign and online offerings are far superior to Medal of Honor Heroes 2's, though the control still isn't as good (I loved the nunchuck leaning and remote twisting for sniper zoom in MoH).
Most Wii owners don't want shooters and they did not buy the Wii for shooters, they want party games and sales prove this. MP3 is one of the best games this gen and the controls really show off the Wii's potential yet in sales it flopped bad, because the majority of Wii owners want more simple games, and most of those that like both (myself included here to some extent) are likely to own 2 consoles at least this generation.SapSacPrimemp3 sold 1.3 million. Pretty good for a game with controls no better than world at war, no multiplayer, no anything. hence your comment pretty much fails.
I think it's because people wanna wait for the Conduit.jjr10The vast majority of buyers don't even know what the Conduit is.

I would've guessed that the Wii game would sell less a long time ago. There simply wasn't any buzz for it. On the other hand, Red Steel which was a mediocre game, had a lot of buzz. Prior to the launch of the Wii, if you asked anybody what games they were getting, you would often hear Zelda and Red Steel.

it's probably because nintendo made wii more family friendly, and more casual gamers bought the wii. Well for the hardcore gamer's wii isn't the soulution. Wii fans are waiting fof the good games that are wii exclusive. But there is' probably 10000 times more casual gamers owning the wii than the hardcore gamers. And maybe most of the hardcore wii gamers are dissapointed in wii, i know i am :(
that's the reason why i have x360 and wii, one for the hardcore games and other for casual (until some good games arive).
ps: i play codwaw on the wii not xbox :)
It's a great game for the Wii, even though it lacked the features from PS3/360.PicesAbsolutely true and I'm more interested in that game on Wii than 360/PS3. That's just me thinking that way, do have 360 & Wii as well. I think that people want Nintendo Wii to have great games like 360/PS3. As for C.O.D. W.A.W. Wii version poor sales, I'm surprise by that news entirely.
I mean, the 360 is what most people think when they think shooters, but still, it's on the wii (highest selling console), had commercials and plenty of advertising, looked great and played great. So why onle 200K?goblaa
If the Wii numbers of the game were 200k, I don't think that was bad of number of sales. What number where you hoping for?

^this^ But, add another to the total, cuz i'll be picking it up in the next few days.
noobie developers have been showing pros how its done on wii since..well..the start really. over at ign, a small indy teams game that was prototyped on the PC just won wii GOTY..de blob (have it myself too..dam fine game). then theres games like lost winds and world of goo...basically making the big boys look like incompetent trash that have no business being in the industry. i wouldnt write off the conduit simply because its being made be a relatively inexperienced team. as for the topic...the market it is aimed at is not going to be interested in a wii version. by default, that market is going to consider it a superior game on other platforms. It's probably due to everyone buying the family games, and I am 80% sure The Conduits not going to be better than CoD:WoW. It's like a noobie developer vsing a pro.

Wii needs exclusive FPS rather then ports. If The Conduit bombs we are going to be stuck with them.Ganados0I think it might bomb. I've seen games that get tons of hype, and then they either bomb, or don't live up to expectations.

It's all about the situation. Resident Evil established itself last gen on the GameCube since RE4 was originally a GameCube title and also the fact that there were two excellent exclusive Resident Evil games on the Cube last gen (RE: Zero and REmake). That is why Umbrella Chronicles and RE4 both were million sellers on the Wii. Call of Duty 4 was a huge hit and it never came to the Wii. It dominated the headlines for 360 and PS3 gamers and was the most played onilne game for both systems (Halo 3 & CoD4 were neck and neck). It makes sense that it's sequel sold more on those platforms then on the Wii where I'm willing to be most casual-core consumers (i.e. males ages 12-30 that play games a lot but don't quite follow the industry) didn't even know that CoD: WaW was on the Wii.

What research shows this? Is this based on a study conducted by who? Or maybe this is just your opinion of yourself and the few people that you know. The opinions of my friends and I, contradict your statement but I wouldn't say that most Wii owners want sport and fps games.
I say wait until after the holiday sales are done. Even then, the economy kind of blows, so its a bad year to judge any game on sales.
it's a multiplatform game. people are already expecting the game to be good on the other versions cause of cod4 high expectations, but on the wii, the last cod game wasn't all that spectacular. plus, im pretty sure the 360 version sold very well is because of voice chat and friends list. i would rather talk and play a game with friends that i know than a bunch of random people and not be able to chat. BUT for me though was the controls so i bought cod wow for the wii instead of the 360. :P haha.
oh yeah, the wii didn't sell 200,000 copies. it's 200,000 total amoung the wii/psp/nds/ and another version all combined.

Family Friendly is an understatement. Haha, infact they actaully cut almost all the gore out of the wii version of the game. Might as well have censored the language too, it would've gotten the big T if it wouldv'e been censored. The Xbox Version is by far the best version that is available. It will drag you in for hours and hours, i just hope that the wii version has good Online :)

Thats why.
I bought the PS3 version for 2 reasons:
