Wii Game Recommendation thread - ALL 'Which game to get' questions HERE

plzzzzzzzz not to offend any body but has any body noticed what Nintendo holding back

there are a few major problems

• no original characters (not every one wants to play as mario all the time)
• not many shooters (hello wii mote/ gun attachments)
• to many mediocre games that perform half as good as a game cube game.

I have a wii and I've played all those games but since getting a wii i've found myself revisiting game-cube games

i want to see the games like

• disaster/ day of crisis
• project hammer
• metal arms 2
• beyond good and evil 2(or a game like it)
• and More shooters

I don't know about you guys but I'm gonna get a xbox 360 till the wii stops being so dam silly

If you want those games then you've got the wrong console

but dear fellow gamer notice that those games are wii games or gamecube games. all im saying is that the wii should not hold back making the games like smash or project hammer and other games that we were promised to get but got games that make a hash or the wii mote when not needed. for example spiderman 3 ( dam black suit) became a game of thrashing the wii motes up and down. so basicly if your gonna do summthing origonal do it well :)

It's your own personal preference. Besides, Nintendo's pumping out the upper quality titles anyway, I don't know how you can be dissapointed. I still play Metroid Prime 3, Zelda Twilight Princess, and Super Mario Galaxy. Smash Bros. has kind of taken over the time I used to spend on those other games :P .

When you say "Good Games", that's pure opinion.

Lil OT on this thread but.. here I go...

dunno about alone in the dark, yet... waiting to see gameplay on the wii, if not for me it would be a ps3 game. That said.. I also want to see Day of disaster, but I do not complain that is "being hold back" I still have 5 more games to bit.. so yea...

I have like 15 Wii games.. imo.. a pretty good ones (go to my collection if you wanna see... : )

I played the simpsons and is a pretty fun game... I do not like much the spiderman series, so maybe if you are a fan you should wait for more replies... Either way they are not a Buy games, at least no as new... :oops:

dont get the simpsons game, im not sure why everyone says its fun. Its not. It has the worst camera ever, and basically all you do is run around and press b to kill the same repetitive enemies.

whats the best TG-16 shooter that isnt too hard that you would reccomend to someone who has never played a shooter before that wants to try one?gamer6464

Brawl is a given, but help me pick my other game.

No More Heroesis out of stock, unfortunately. So it's either Metroid, Zak and Wiki, or an Okami preorder. What say you, Wii forum?

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. Getting Brawl today (FINALLY!) and getting another game with the $20 off...so for me, I could get that Spidey game for $20, or The Simpsons for $25, if I remember correctly. Thanks to those who replied to my post. ^_^

Z&W: a bit childish (the look) but the gameplay is fun and some of the puzzle are challenging enough, at least to make me doubt how I complete med school :lol:

MP3: great controls, great adventure gameplay, amazing design.

Okami: i played in ps2 (part of it) and the game is amazing, zelda adventure stile but with a great creative gameplay... And I will own it for wii.

I will say that bc all this game are great (for me Z&W < Okami < MP3) get the one that will save you more $$$. That is what i`ll do :D

I'd recommend getting Sonic and the Secret Rings, Medal of Honour: Heroes 2, maybe some virtual console games if you're into that type of thing, Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4, Zack and Wiki, and Mario Strikers Charged. All great games.

Well, for a low amount of Wii points I couldn't really list any off the top of my head. But for a thousand you can get Paper Mario which is a long RPG.

But for a low amount, I assume you mean about 500 points or something. I couldn't tell you though. I don't honestly know.

startropics another pretty good RPG, lil zelda stile. NES 500 points.

zelda link to the past SNES one of the best zelda games out there, 800 points.

SMB3 is a great plataformer, i do not know if is long thus. but if yu pass all levels will keep you busy for a lil while and is 500 points

again consider paper mario, is 1000 points but is a hell of a great RPG... :)

I am looking for a game for my girl, so far her fav games on the wii were the Trauma Center games and Super Paper Mario, any game like that, or similar? I know its weird but anything would be great....Thanks! I was thinking of Zack and Wiki...would that be good?jriddle89

being a girl gamer and having a lil sister that is a casual gamer... I would go with star wars complete saga (if she likes easy games) and Galaxy if she wants a more challenging game.

Z&W is a great game if she like puzzle games...

-yeah medal of honour heroes 2..... one of my friends got it...... says its really good. Not totally convinced since it doesnt have local multiplayer.. is it still worth it?

MoHH2 is pretty good... The control scheme is pretty well done and the multiplayer is great. the campain is nothing big, it is a game ment to be play with ohers, thus you should know that it does not have multiplayer offline.

imo... no. I`m one of those that think that is not confortable... the way you have to hold it is odd.. Thus I just gave it a few minutes try and consider that is not worth the money, the wiimote does the job pretty good without the extra cash :P

Because lots of people recommend it for a party game. You have to remember that people come to this site for lots of different reasons. Many people asking for game recommendations are looking for good party games, and the Rayman games are widely hailed as.. well.. fun. This list is based on my own observations of what people in this forum generally recommend to people who ask... I haven't even played all the games on the list.

Metroid Prime corruption, don't know if I want another Prime game to be honest, liked the first, didn't dig the second, might be burnt out on Prime games, how is number 3?

Zack and Wiki, looks interesting to me, liked the old point and click games, is this fun, lengthy, worth getting?

I can not tell you which one is the best, bc I have never being able to compare games that are so different in genre :oops: , nor understand how others do.. but I can tell you my opinion on them :D

MP3: good gameplay, great boss fights. Good puzzle. Is long enough to keep you busy for quite a while, and if you like to complete games 100% will give you quite a few stuff to unlock and look for. And the control scheme is amazing.

Z&W: click adventure/puzzle game. The graphics are childish, but do not let them fool you, like I said to one of my my friends and to many that have ask about this game. Getting the high ranking in some puzzle made me doubt how I graudated from med school :P :lol: The puzzle are challenging enough and fun as well. They start short and not that hard and both feature increase during gameplay. Also have some extra stuff, like finding treasures and such if you like collecting feature in games.

Now which one should you get?? depends on what you like more: puzzle vs FPS adventures. I highly recommend both :)

I would personally recommend Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It's a great game. Also, check out Super Mario Galaxy.

Other games worth mentioning are:
Resident Evil 4
Battalion Wars 2
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 and
Sonic and the Secret Rings

There are also lots more games than these, and also Virtual Console titles to look at too.

Agree with MP3 (my opinion about the game one post above) and RE4 (specially if you lhave not play the GC/ps2 version) the game have pretty good control scheme.

Also if you are a fan of the RE series, get RE UC, and if you are OK with a rail-on. The game adds quite a few thing to the story and is pretty fun.

No More heroes. I started the game a couple of days ago and so far is a must. It can be short if you are not a 100% complete guy/girl. But it has a great gameplay, awesome boss fight and wicked humor.

Super mario galaxy: is a pretty good plataformer, it can be too long but if you play it in several weeks you would have a great plataformer for quite a while (a long while)

Super Paper mario: it got out of the path of it prequels, but neverless the game is good. A fun plataformer.

Okay, i know i posted recently. I have money now, and i have narrowed it down to 3 games: Bully, No More Heroes or Zack And Wiki.

I've heard that No More Heroes is a bit short. Zack and Wiki is too, right? Bully, i'm a bit annoyed that i could pay a lot less for the PS2 version, which is almost the same.

I know i'll have fun either way. So, which game? Or do you think i should just pick which ever game i first see at the shop?

some consider NMH short, but if you look for all the stuff and buy all stuff it would give you around 10-12h. and imo short or not, is a pretty good game. I started a couple of days ago, and I love it... the humro and gameplay is great.

I do not like the bully type so I could not help you there.

If I were you i`ll go with NMH 1st.. but it all comes of what type of game you enjoy more or which one you like to play now. Those 3 are in 3 different genre. :)
