Wii Ware has just been released, and I'd like to know what titles you might recommend I buy. I was thinking Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King. I also thought about Lost Winds. If you've played any of the Wii Ware games, please list some that you like.

I'm stickying this because I'm sure this question is on everybody's mind.

WiiWare recommendations will eventually be included in the main recommendations sticky, but it'll help for now to have a separate thread specifically for WiiWare.

To start, I've played up to the first save point in Lost Winds, and I'm loving it. After watching the trailers, I thought the controls might be awkward or something, but they're perfect. For only $10, I already recommend it even after playing only such a small part of it.

i have to agree on Lost Winds, just got to the 2nd save point and so far its been a great game, worth the $10 price tag.

I got FF CC: My Life as a King apposed to LostWinds. I decided to do so because i wanted a WiiWare gamer longer than 3 hours (Supposedly how long LostWinds is) and i dont know if it would have any replay value.

FF CC: My Life as a King is actually a pretty good game. Typically those type of games are not my thing, however im enjoying this one a lot. Its really addictive. I played two hours straight when i bought it and im loving it. You go around building your city by adding homes, getting recruits to go out and get you power to expand your city, pay citizens, and look after everyone as well.

It feels awesome looking at a birds eye view of your city and seeing how its progressed. Really cool.

As for the downloadable content, most of it seems pretty dumb, but most of it only takes about 1 block of space so its not too bad. You can download things like a new costume for the king, new races, new dungeons for your recruits to explore and get more money, etc. DLC so far ranges from 100 - 800 points.

I'd say this is definitely a title you'd want to check out, even if your not a fan harvest moon/animal crossing type of games, you'll probably find something you'll love about it. Not to mention, the graphics and gameplay rivals many retail Wii games. You're getting good quality for a good price (1500 Points, $15.)

I'd recommend it.

For 1000 wii points is really worthy

I'd recommend TV Game Show. Challenging, fun, party-type game that can also be fun with one player. Uses miis which adds to the fun.

Lost Winds is good. It seems to the be stand out title on WiiWare that everyone should buy. It's kind of like Zelda on the Wii launch except it's less epic.

Its about three hours long
"But I think three hours is a reasonable estimate, which I'm proud of; that's a lot of gameplay if you think in terms of what you get and how long it takes, for example, to compete Call of Duty 4 -- it doesn't take much more than about four hours"

I played well over an hour now and I can honestly say it's going to take me much longer than 3 hours to complete it. I'm guessing it'll take me at least 5 hours. It also has potential for a lot of re-playability. That's well worth my $10.

I strongly recommend Lost Winds.

Depends on the game, just like any other kind of game. Some have infinite replayability, some are only meant for one or two play throughs. Just do a bit of research before buying.

I have a question, I hear sooo much about Lostwinds and FFC, but I want to know about the others!

Also, please tell me a bit more about FFC because I only have 200 points now but I don't wanna fork out 10 more dollars just for 300 points.

I got another one. I just downloaded TV King Show and is very fun too! My family and I were playing just a minute ago and, this far, it seems to have a decent database for questions, and some wii-mote specific controls to make it a little more interesting. I really love games which use your Miis and this is one of them, so this is another good point.

It looks the perfect choice for an afternoon/night with friends and family (IF that's your cup of tea, so if you prefer online or solo gaming, perhaps is not what you're looking for.

I guess he's asking how much tiem each game lasts. It depends, currently only Lost Winds seems to have a "real" end. The rest seem more like game you can play anytime because they don't have an ending. Perhaps FFCC, but I'm not sure.

The game which actually have an ending, I suposse, won't be very lenghty.

i'm finding Lostwinds pretty fun at the moment. i've only played for about 1/2 hour, but it seems good enough to make me want more. very nice graphics/presentation, decent sound, good controls, but kind of slow gameplay. so far i'd give it 7/10 or maybe 7.5.

1. Sadly no. :( An IGN review with the guy who was leading the games devleopment sadi there would be no DC. >_> 2. Not sure. Lostwinds is a game I pretty sure I'll get and FFCC is kinda pricey and I don't get why it's so awesome. I'll either just get Lostwinds or save up and wait for Dr. Mario or maybe Tetris. 3. Well, if you're willing to pay about 1000 Wii points I'd say the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Paper Mario are pretty lengthy.

It's a building sim and business management game. There's no fighting in the game but you can sort of order your adventurers to go out, conquer dungeons (strategy involved!), level up and gain exp, and you can upgrade their weapons and armour and such. An action log pops up every little bit informing you of your adventurers' progress in dungeons. It notifies you when they've reached the dungeon, conquered it (or died trying!), and when they come back. You can later check an in-depth report of each thing they did in the dungeon. You can also check what abilities and spells they have and what items they're carrying.
