Ocarina of time. I love old school, that was the ONLY zelda game that got me stuck in a puzzle for half a month. I love games that do that and really good story line.
Okay I don't know why I can't vote, in fact I haven't been able to vote for any poll in the last month or so, but I say Twilight Princess. You can't deny the technology, story and breadth of the game that puts the others to shame. Even though they ALL ROCK!

It should be noted that I hate having to put any of those titles "last". Where I would give numbers 1 through5 a 10, I'd give Majora's Mask a 9.8, and the last three a 9.5. ALL GREAT!
Wind Waker has been the best for me though i'd want them to make something like that for the wii because i liked PH but it was nothing compared to Wind Waker
Great game, the return of the top-view Zelda. Well, a 3D top-screen Zelda. But it still borrows a lot of gameplay elements from one of the best Zeldas Link's Awakening. The controls work almost perfectly, but rolling just sucks. The characters are interesting and the duration is perfect for a handheld game. Sailing is an improvement over Wind Waker. But in retrospect the story is not really Wind Waker worthy, but then again even the story feels a lot like Link's Awakening, making it more a game about the events after WW than the true sequel to WW. Sidequests are not brilliant, but some of the minigames are pretty cool. The game is still very, very good though, especially with the multiplayer additions.
You forgot the Puzzles that involve the touch screen... there are REALLY good, you even have to draw the map of an island with the stylus to solve one, i haven't beat the game yet ... but they can easily be the best and they are the best of PH, they are new stuff to solve, not the same pressing some switchs with an order, moving or using some Items. btw, for me is OoT
I love all zelda but ocarina of time is the best-- first one i've beaten, and it just brings back so many memories... the music from ocarina of time was the best, especially the sprit temple, water temple, forest temple, serenade of water, requiem of spirit, original lost woods song, and that forest temple teleport song which i forgot the name. best game ever.
Wind Waker was the first Zelda I really got into, then Twilight Princess. Ocarina of Time probably would be my favorite if I was as big of a Zelda fan as I am now back then.
Ocorina is an awesome game, one of the best in the series and is probably better than twilight princess. The story line is the best out of all of them. It brings back so many memories. It has things even twilight princess doesnt have like different tunics and sheilds even more weapons. I personally like the spirit temple and the water temple.

Its all opinions, because I DISAGREE with ALL, 100% EVERYTHING that you just stated about Majora's Mask. and yet i completely agree with everything he said, how can people not like MM??? it was soo much better than Oot, i only play Oot now for the last boss battle, everything else is kind of boring, now grant you ten years ago i would have thought myself crazy for saying something like this but i believe its true.
Wind Waker gets my vote. In my opinion, its the best the series has to offer. It really gave the series a breath of fresh air right when it needed it. The visual style, the vast open ocean world, and the fact that it tied in with OoT made it great.

Heresy! I can still play through Ocarina and enjoy every second of it.
But I'm glad to see Majora's Mask is getting some love. Definitely the most underrated Zelda game, and one of the more underrated games of the past ten-fifteen (however long it's been) years.
Majora's Mask is the greatest of the LoZ games for me. OoT might be the epitome of an epic game, but MM, especially through some of the mask quests, was able to grasp me on a much more emotional level to where I cared a great deal more about Terminia and its inhabitatants than I did about the people of Hyrule.
i had to choose TP.. my second would be OoT but for some reason i really enjoyed TP:D i also enjoyed ocarina but it was a loooooong time ago and i havent bough it on the VC.. so i was more hyped about TP than ocarina
The only zelda game that inst amazing is Zelda 2 the adventure of link, (not including that ill fated phillips cdi garbage) every other game is GRADE A top notch aka The reason im still plalying video games
I liked Majora's Mask because it is the most original out of them all. It tried to take zelda in a different direction, which the others are incapable of doing.
Why does everyone hate Twilight Princess? I was glued to my Wiimote for days playing it. The ending wasn't that bad, 'cause it left alot of questions unanswered. The wolf was boring at some parts, but very useful. I really loved jumping up and stabbing your enemies to death.

imo, of course. WW and PH, although awesome games, are so low on the list because i'm not a terribly big fan of their setting. I don't like the oceanic setting and the tons of sailing. I'd rather be riding through fields and forests.
Majora's Mask was a really great game, and an awesome offbeat zelda game for which it deserves much respect.. but when it comes down to it, i like my traditional zelda ****they are my favourite games period)Â And that's why TP takes top. It may not be the most innovative, but it's the perfect(to date) traditional zelda.

I voted for OoT. I'm a bit surprised by the results so far. I could understand people voting for WW over OoT but TP? I think people are just voting for TP because it's the newest. I really can't see how it's better than OoT.
Of the ones you've listed, it came close between windwaker and Ocarina of Time, but I went with Ocarina of Time just because of the more memorable times I've had with it.
