Sorry to go against the Majority but... I said Twilight Princess.

I absolutely loved that game, anyway it was missing a few key Zelda components.

OoT has to be my favorite, but all of them have been really good. I see a lot of people dont like MM which I dont under stand because it was good and had a totally different concept from OoT.

Majoras Mask and Wind Waker destroy them all.

Wind Waker was Links biggest adventure yet and everything from story to gameplay was pulled off just right, Nintendo really out did themselves.

Majoras Mask was, fortunately, a darker and more urgent Zelda, really mad you feel on edge sometimes considering the time situation. The theme was just too good, from the dark soundtrack to gloomy levels.

Wind Waker, this game had an excellent sense of exploration and discovery. The graphics were also top-notch.

Majora's Mask was superior to OoT in every way, and it gets no love. Both games were crucial in setting the standard for the series, so I guess it's love it/hate it situation.

I just really didn't care for TP.

Ocarina of Time > Wind Waker > Majoras Mask

These are the only ones Ive played.

In terms of 'best game' I'm tempted to say Majora's Mask, as it truly gave the Zelda series a unique spin instead of resorting to serving fanboys and becoming more accessible. I really appreciate this game, but I seem to be one of the few.

Twilight Princess is my favourite, though. I just enjoyed it so much, and the atmosphere was really convincing and just about everything I'd expect from a Zelda game.

Ocarina of Time is a very enjoyable game as well, and one of the only games ever I've beaten 3 times (I don't like replaying games much). That being said, I don't think it deserves all of the praise it's gotten over the years. Yes, is what great, but the best game ever? Flawless? Hell no. Especially now it's apparent that this game hasn't aged as well as other games from its era. Still great, though.

Wind Waker I didn't like a lot. I found the dungeons a drag, the story uncompelling, and the atmosphere unfitting. I didn't really enjoy it, even though it was a great game judging by many technical aspects.

The time limit, most likely. I personally don't want time limits in my Zeldas either. It was annoying in Majora's Mask and it was annoying in Phantom Hourglass..

The time limit in Majora's Mask was mostly just there. While playing, I never once came close to running out of time. I think the longest I took beating a dungeon was one I finished in the night of the second day. It was just an element that seemed intimidating at first, but turned out to be more of an element they added to make for a more original gameplay.

Ocarina of time. Its such a great game that its still considered the best game ever by the vast majority of gamers. Most of the time when things become exceptionally popular people start to dislike it to break away from the norm. However this is not the case with OoT because it IS UNDENIABLY the best game of all time.
