I want Earthbound really bad!

[QUOTE="Jdog30"]probably just Super Smash Bros with on-line. game-ster23That would be AWESOME! :D Original smash bros didn't age too well. Played it at buddies house and melee and brawl are FAR superior. Even though the pokemon place is the best ever! The hospital one i mean.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (N64) would be my most wanted VC game
Super Godzilla

i want this game alot as well

That's what I'm also anxiously waiting for! Plus they should introduce the SEGA Saturn as a platform to the VC roster. Well, I'm still dreaming. They'd be way too big in file size.
ClayFighter 63 1/3 (The Original Edition).
I was so disappointed that ClayFighter 1 on VC was the Genesis version, and that'll probably be the case for ClayFighter 2. But 63 1/3 is an N64 exclusive, and I remember it being the closest game to the Street Fighter series on N64 (from the simple combo system to the Super Move controls). Killer Instinct Gold was cool too, but that's definitely not going to VC (and I own the cartridge for N64 already).
probably just Super Smash Bros with on-line. Jdog30
Dude, this would be amazing.
I also wish that they allowed us to download GC games with Classic Controller support.
Pipe Dream (please LucasArts, please)
Uniracers (I want this a lot because I lost my copy in a move)
Pilot Wings 64 (although I would MUCH rather have a true Wii M+ sequel)
Crystalis (loved this game when I was in college but I foolishly loaned it to a friend who ended up breaking the cart)
[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]Earthbound, even though it will never happen.game-ster23I hope so. :D It won't happen. There's no point in hoping. Because of legal reasons, Nintendo of Japan has already decided not to release it.
Star Fox 2 (Snes). Sadly it wasnt officially released. Oh well then MM, BK1, BK2, Conker, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, DK64, Starfox 1.
As soon as Nintendo's lawyers settle something down well see these games (except starfox 1, that has nothing to do with RARe). I dont expect it to happne until close to the end of the wiis lifecycle.

Honestly, I'd be happy enough with Earthbound that I'd never need another VC game again. Many of the thus-far unreleased "cIassics" haven't aged too well, especially Smash Bros. Compared with its successors, the original is entirely broken and lacks depth. Anyone who thinks Nintendo would add online to a VC game needs to get their head out of the clouds. The VC is meant to accurately emulate the original games without significant changes.
I'm surprised how little mention Super Metroid has gotten. I've heard that it's one of the best of its series.
Also, Super Mario Bros. 3 looks like an amazing game to have. And from what I've heard, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is one of the harder games of the series.

Legal reasons? I don't quite understand what would be wrong with putting the one Mother game that was released outside of Japan on VC.

Super Metroid is there
As for Earthbound it's one of the worst jobs of stealing from artists that's ever been done. Nintendo should have been sued for it then and they'd be taken to task if they rereleased it. As it is they've had legal troubles over the years for it.
They stole from the Beatles, David Bowie, The Red Cross, Coca Cola, Chuck Berry, Mr T, Blues Brothers, Monty Python, Grateful Dead, The Doors, Star Wars, The Star Spangled Banner, The Who, Dr Demento, Pink Floyd, The Day the Earth Stood Still, etc
Not only that but one part of the game is taken directly from a movie scene that features rape, murder, and dismemberment.
Earthbound is just too much trouble to bring over to the Virtual Console. The headache is not worth the time.
DK 64, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, now that Lucas Arts is coming out on VC
captkiwi
Oh rly? 8)
That was an excellent game. I own it & both of the sequels, as well, but I would probably purchas a VC Rogue Squadron because I still believe that the N64 controller is the worst controller to ever grace this universe.
Seriously guys, am I the only one who wants GC games on the Virtual Console with classic controller support? That way, people who didn't own a GC can play those games are able to play without having to buy a seperate GC controller and a memory card just for one or two games.

The Wii's hardware isn't strong enough to run them
You'll have to wait until next gen

Jayson, you really believe that the Wii isn't strong enough to run stuff that it's predecessor could?

Yes, it's a fact
The Wii closes in on it's ceiling with the N64 games, it just doesn't have the power to run Gamcube games
Because there's an abundance of Gamecube games still sealed on store shelves even today that's not really a problem
Next gen when the Wii's successor has more power we'll probably see Gamecube games offered
Right now it's an impossibility.

Gamecube games are too big to run off the harddrive arent they?

But now, they started offering SD card streaming as can be seen in the new Guitar Hero right? The thing with VC is that once you buy it, you can download/delete the games as many times as you want. That way, it wouldn't really be much of a problem if you downloaded it straight to your SD card and deleted it when you were done with the game. I'm not sure how save progress would work after you delete the game though.

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't streaming from SD cards generally kinda slow? Just not sure if it would be worth the hassle when you can just stick the GCN disc in there and emulate it.

I can't believe I'm going to suggest this, but how about Nintendo offers some more New-Play titles? They have some huge titles missing from the New-Play lineup (Melee and Wind Waker). I don't know if I want them to add Wiimote/nunchuck controls, but classic controller support would be nice. It's a big hassle to get a GC controller and memory card just for a few games. It's too much physical hardware to be lugging around when combined with all of the Wii peripherals.

No it's not, it's one controller and one memory card
That's it
There's no need to remake games that are readily available at retail right now
