Eminem Album On Hold, Not On Schedule For '07 Says Rep
Wednesday - August 1, 2007

Eminem's publicist recently shut down rumors that the Detroit rapper will be releasing an album this year.

According to The Detroit News, rumors have been circulating the internet for months claiming that Eminem will be dropping a project this year and fuel was added to the fire recently when a website called kingmathers.com surfaced promoting an album from Em of the same name.

The site, which is currently down, reportedly read "Guess who's coming back? The first new studio album [from Em] in more than 2 years. Coming soon," before re-routing visitors to a hip-hop message board.

Dennis Dennehy, Em's publicist, called the website's claims bogus and said that there is no Eminem album on the horizon.

"There is no Eminem album on any release schedule," he emphasized.

Eminem's last solo project was 2004's Encore. He released his greatest hits set Curtain Call and the compilation The Re-Up in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

This year, Em has appeared on album's from T.I. and his protégé Ca$his. He is also set to appear on 50 Cent's forthcoming album, Curtis, hitting shelves on September 11.

he needs to stop releasing wack music more then anything...I'd gladly have him release two albums over the next seven years if those two albums are damn near ****c or ****c.

i liked all his songs of the Re-Up that he was on (cept public enemy number 1, it annoyed me) and he has done two wack guest spots (Smack That, Touchdown) and everyone says he is wackness. What about We Ain't, fubba u Cubba Cubba, Pistol Poppin' (i know you didnt care for that song, but his verse was pretty good IMO), There They Go (off of the severly underrated Second Round's on Me and probably some more i am forgetting. No one just loses the talent they have magically.

Fubba U Cubba Cubba was from before encore (he did it on the radio almost 5 months before encore), most of his re-up verses were wack, and SMH @ you not likeing PE#1, of all songs on the re-up to like, that is the one. It is lyrically better then everything else except the first verse of No Apologies. People do lose talent/inspiration/ect., Stevie wonder will never ever create another "Songs In The Key Of Life" and Em will never create another MMLP/SSLP/TES. He's not in that creative space anymore, the things that influnced his rhymes and the way he put words together isn't there anymore. He seems bored with hip-hop and not imspired. All of his music lacks the intensity of old Em.

i didnt know that about fubba, i got it off the mixtape so i figured it was after encore, you say em has lost it, but on Never Enough or Encore his verses let you know he still has it, and if you listen to his verse off of we're back (smh at you if you dont like) he addresses how he is viewed in hip hop and it was a pretty damn good verse. He ethered Game on a track that came out a few months after Encore did, and the PE#1 song just annoys me for some reason and You Dont Know may not be a lyrical song, but its enjoyalbe and his verse wasnt wackness, and Pistol Poppin's verse once again restates how Em knows how the state of music is in a crisis, also in There They Go, Em spits an intense verse. Hell i like When I'm Gone (ive stated many times im a sucker for introspective ish) so you may have lost all hope, or have ridiculous standards, but if i can almost guarantee Em's next album will be one of his best.

There They Go lyrics

Meat cleaver, leave a gash in a **** ass
She had dreams of being an R&B singer
Diva, leave her face cut up from the waist of me
what a waste of a pretty face
And this place ain't just safe, it's just straight gangster
It ain't just New York or LA that bangs no more
There's latin cown kings here, Southside folk
Eastside them gangs and nothin' but gang lands and
Spray paint cans and when that van rolls up, man they ain't glancin'
That window rolls down and that trey .8's dancin'
And them shooters don't miss homie, man they hate chancin'
It's straight for the dome and it's vacate fast and
get the **** outta dodge 'fore that blue dodge flashin'
Red and blue lights, no ambulance you got flattened
And this was not supposed to be no Detroit anthem
But just so you know if you see them D-Boyz passin'

horrible

We Ain't lyrics

Only Dre can, judge me for the mistakes I'm making
If I'm faking, I'm Clay Aiken
You ain't 50 and you ain't Game, you lame, you're tame
Your mind's lost, you are not ready to make that flame switch
You will end up in the same situation, same ****
Different day, just with different gangstas in your face
Which- way do you wanna face when your brains hit pavement
Think of what you'll say to Pastor Mase and save it
For the day that they got them affidavits waiving in my face
Looking for answers, rap sensation Eminem battles to ward off accusations
That he had somebody blasted
The Mask of Jason was found at the scene of the task with masking tape
And the victim's penis up his ass, a basket case
And they ask him to clean up his act, you bastards wasting too much time
Me no kiss ass, and if that's the case, then we ain't going...

mad average, especially for Em

You Don't know lyrics

When me and fif got together to do this music
The more we became enveloped we just developed a fellowship through it
It's no pretend **** it's friendship, me nemisis is su nemisis
Same for him, it's just media, see to them it's just images [come on!]
But this **** is new gimmicks, this is blood in and blood out (whoooo!)
When it's beef you jus' gotta know when to butt in and butt out
If there's a problem we solve it, we don't resolve it
It just usually jus' evolves into one big brawl and we all get involved in it [yeah!]
We should all get a merit, as much beef we inherit
And wear it like a badge of honor, pass it around and share it
And let it go to whoevers holdin' the most current beef on their shoulders
And their soldiers got their backs till it's over
But tonight, we ain't comin' here to beef with nobody
We came to party, Banks, Cashis and Mr. Ferrari
So it's shady after-mizz-ath back in that ass, you izz-ass [yeah.. Come on!]
Come izzon what kinda fizz-uckin' question is that.. (haaa!)

wow so average

now compare all those verses to this

Dead Wrong lyrics

There's several different levels to Devil worshippin: horse's heads,
Human sacrifices, canibalism; candles and exorcism
Animals havin sex with 'em; camels mammals and rabbits
But I don't get into that, I kick the habit - I just,
Beat you to death with weapons that eat through the flesh
And I never eat you unless the ****in, meat looks fresh
I got a lion in my pocket, I'm lyin, I got a nine in my pocket
And baby I'm just, dyin to cock him
He's ready for war, I'm ready for war
I got machetes and swords for any **** that said he was raw
My uz' as, heavy as yours, yeah you met me before
I just didn't have as large an arsenal of weapons before
Marshall will step in the door, I lay your head on the floor
With your body spread on the bedspread, red on the wall
Red on the ceilin, red on the floor, get a new whore
Met on the second, wet on the third;
Then she's dead on the fourth - I'm dead wrong

Hellbound

Yo.. I'll ****in.. I'll..
I'll puke, eat it, and freak you (eww)
Battle? I'm too weeded to speak to
The only key that I see to defeat you
would be for me to remove these two Adidas and beat you
and force feed you 'em both, and on each feet is a cleat shoe
I'll lift you off your feet so fast with a roundhouse
you'll think I pulled the ****in ground out from underneath you
**** I no ****in Gee, I'm a cannibal
I ain't tryin to shoot you,
I'm tryin to chop you into pieces and eat you
Wrap you in rope and plastic, stab you with broken glass
and have you with open gashes strapped to a soakin mattress
Coke and acid, black magic, cloaks and daggers (ahhh!)
**** the planet, til spins on a broken axis
I'm so bananas I'm showin up to your open casket
to fill it full of explosive gasses
and close it back with a lit match in it
while I sit back and just hope it catches
Blow you to fragments
Laugh roll you and smoke the ashes

dog...it is SO EASY to see how Em completely switched his ****and as a result, lost the punch his lyrics once gave. The rhyme schemes dude used to have were INSANE, now...it's all boring ish, with LAME punchline, horrible flow, and that wack wanna be gangster voice.

^^ i didnt say they were lyrical masterpieces, its about the delivery and intensity, like i said before on that lyrics thread, reading and listening are two way different things, my main example is Raekwon's verse off of Aquemini, it might not be lyrically amazing, but its my favorite to listen to off the album, not only that You Dont Know was a single, it was meant to be for the masses, of course its not gonna be lyrical, i already stated that, and We Aint and You Dont Know just sound vicious.

Em's delivery was much better in the past, his flow was so ill, now it's borderline awful. His intensity on songs like American Psyco, and the above two I posted ish on anything else he's put out recently. And Em has prolly put out some of the most lyrical singles period. Listen to freaking Lose Yourself and Role Model...those songs are lyrical as hell.

i know, but You Dont Know was meant to be a song you blast out of your stereo, not exactly a club song but somewhere in between, and his flow has changed a bit, but his most recent stuff sounds more like his older stuff and tell me Never Enough was a mad average song, Em and 50 ripped it to shred and that was on Encore, and Em flowed just great on that song, or did you forget about it. Nas rebounded from Nastrodomus with Stillmatic, dont forget. No artist is perfect.

Thats all i can think for now, also Em would have never done a song like Like Toy Soldiers when he first started

okay, so lets see,

Mockingbird...an all rap version of Hailie's Song

Never Enough...generic verse, nothing different from say Till I collapse in terms of maturatiy

Yellow Brick Road...Retrospective of his life, so much of his music talks about that...

We As Americans (made before Encore, was on the Back to the Lap LP released the year before Encore)

Pistol Poppin'...How is Em subliminally dissing Game and calling him all sorts of names considered mature

No Apologies... (did you listen to the third verse (You can suck my dick while I'm puking  real mature)

When I'm Gone...another rap version of Halie's song

Mosh (white america, but wack) no difference in terms of being mature

Jimmy Crack Corn (I give a f**k if I don't like your stare his bottle of wine goes upside your head) mature

Spend Some Time, eminem talking about having sex, getting head, and treating women like dirt

only song that comes close to being more mature is Like Toy Soldiers

none of the other songs you mentioned were more mature then say, Rock Bottom, Way I Am, Infinite, Till I Collapse, Hailie's Song, White America, Cleaning Out My Closet, Lose Yourself, 8 Mile Road, ect. the maturity argument is lame doggie

IMO nothing beats eminems old songs. Some of his new stuff is alright like Never enough and toy soldiers but nothing compares to.

Drug balled

Back when Mark Walhberg was Marky Mark
This is how we used to make the party start
We used to mix Hen' with Bacardi Dark
And when it, kicks in you can hardly talk
And by the, sixth gin you're gonna probably crawl
And you'll be, sick then and you'll probably barf
And my pre-diction is you're gonna probably fall
Either somewhere in the lobby or the hallway wall
And everything's spinning
You're beginin' to think women
are swimming in pink linen again in the sink
Then in a couple of minutes that bottle of Guinness is finished
You are now allowed to officially slap ***** You have the right to remain violent and start wilin'
Start a fight with the same guy that was smart eyin' you
Get in your car, start it, and start drivin'
Over the island and cause a 42 car pile-up
[Em's spaceman voice]Earth calling, pilot to co-pilot
Looking at the life on this planet, sir, no sign of it
All I can see is a bunch of smoke flyin'
And I'm so high that I might die if I go by it
Let me out of this place
I'm outta place
I'm in outer space
I've just vanished without a trace
I'm going to a pretty place now where the flowers grow
I'll be back in an hour or so

Or

Rock bottom

I feel like I'm walking a tight rope, without a circus net
I'm popping percocets, I'm a nervous wreck
I deserve respect; but I work a sweat for this worthless check
Bout to burst this tech, at somebody to reverse this debt
Minimum wage got my adrenaline caged
Full of venom and rage
Especially when I'm engaged
And my daughter's down to her last diaper
That's got my ass hyper
I pray that god answers, maybe I'll ask nicer
Watching ballers while they flossing in their pathfinders
These overnight stars becoming autograph signers
We'll all gone blow up and leave the past behind us
Along with the small fry's and average half pinters
While playa haters turn **** like they have vaginas
Cause we see them dollar signs and let the cash blind us
Money will brainwash you and leave your ass mindless
Snakes slither in the grass spineless

[QUOTE="fat_rob"]only reason Nastradomus was wack is cause Nas released I Am only a few months earlier...there were nearly two years between Encore and TESApocalypse33
you didnt respond to the rest of the response, now tell me how wack Never Enough and Like Toy Soldiers are, come on.

I've never liked "Like Toy Soldiers" the beat is awful and the rhyme scheme is simple, only the subject matter is good, Never Enough has always been my favorite Encore track, but it's too short. And anyway, two tracks out of the 35 or so tracks including and post encore do not bode well for Eminem. Nas had more then two dope tracks on Nastradomus. :|

dope tracks off of Encore, Never Enough, Like Toy Soldiers (i like it), Encore (probably the best song on the album), Mockingbird (i totally loved the song way before it became a single), One Shot, 2 Shot, Crazy in Love (i love the sample), Evil Deeds (second verse owns), We As Americans, Love You More, Ricky Ticky Toc, The Re-Up, Jimmy Crack Corn, You Dont Know, No Apologies, Puke (i like it you dont have to), My 1st Single, also i have not included any guest spots. Man that is a bunch of wack songs :?, Also how can you like Never Enough if Em magically lost his flow and lyrical ability? You mean it reappeared for one track and then he forgot how to rap again?

Or

and by mature, i wasnt nitpicking every line, i meant the general tone of the song, it wasnt as spastic and not as "crazy", Pistol Poppin was about the wackness of rap and i didnt get any subliminals at Game, man Rob you like a musical genious or something....

We all gotta step our game up; especially these lame ****
who walk around with their chest out
just tryin to be down with anybody who's left now (One Blood Remix)
Better be down with them, huh
But I dare some **** to say somethin about, Eminem
Cause I'm not in the mood to be playin around with dudes
I already seen two friends get shot in the head
and lay on the ground this year and, one didn't make it
Proof, you are the truth
Please don't let us come face to face with these boo-boo-hoo
Fake-ass tattooed havin
Fif' please tell 'em right now how hard it has been
for me to try and, stay out it
But they just won't quit runnin their mouth (Game NEVER shut up about the beef, his brother talked about how his tats came after he started rapping, and how game was a fake gang banger and remember, this song was leaked not long before Game said he was gonna diss Eminem)

at least 'til there's a gun in it; son of a ****!

It is blatantly clear Em is talking about a specific beef, and in general tone, Em's older music was more mature, he never had the lame jokes he tries to pass off now. The My Bllaz song is a perfect example of how Em is not more mature now then he used to be

And lol at liking the horrible Crazy In Love song....ish is beyond garbage.

^^ maybe, i never looked that much into the song, i interpreted it as the general state of hip-hop and how Em isnt attacking the lame music, because that descritption not only fits game, but many other wack rappers.

the mature argument is so lame...Eminem on TES is mature, and yet his music is still dope, why is his 8Mile stuff so different, that answer is he fell the **** off.

you think the Re-Up and Jimmy Crack Corn were garbage, you think Encore (widely considered to be the albums saving grace) to be garbage, you sir are just too stubborn to admit it and those tracks could be ****c (not saying they are) and most likely you would give me the same response, no point in arguing with you is there.

For eminem those songs are lame, Encore is saved by the beat and chorus, the lyrics are cool, but nothign special. It's an average song. Re-Up and Jimmy Crack Corn were average. I never said all the songs were wack, I said they were either average or wack, most were wack, some were not. Those song are not even close to the ****ic Eminem tracks, that statement is laughable.

i would rather use the Black Album, same type themes, better music. RD is more "get that paper" mentality, while KC he is much more at ease with himself and could give less of a damn what we think, and its a lot more laid back. I prefer RD of course. I dont know if Jay-Z "fell off" as rob says rappers magically do, but KC was meh for me.

Em shyed away from beef with Nelly, Suge, Royce, and others. Em likes to beef with Pop stars mostly, he's only released diss tracks to wack emcees like JD, Ja, Benzino, Everlast, and then for some reason he dissed Limp Bisket. The Canibus beef never really materialized and the song was leaked, it was never supposed to be released. And has subliminally dissed Benzino a couple times since the their beef supposedly ended.

come on, you know Encore was meant to be a boomin song, with no general them, i mean what would you like Em to do every track, honestly i think Em hurt himself by having so much quality at first, that at the first sight of music, maybe not on the level as before, people automatically assume its garbage. Honestly i dont know what kind of song you want if you didnt like the Re-Up tracks.

All artist fall off, Kanye talks about it too, artist have moments of genius and no matter how hard they try they will never get back in that frame of mind again. Jay is out of his, as is Nas, Em, Stevie Wonder, Micheal Jackson, ect. Some do better at adjusting outside of this genius frame then others do, but Em has done a horrible job, it's that simple.

Royce, only because he was a good friend, Suge he had no real reason for, and come on...Nelly, its not like he needed to, i am not even sure what that was all about, and its not subliminal once you have openly dissed someone before, its more of a continuation of it, you should know who he is talking about by now, Canib!tch ownt.
