Brian Shaw is supposedly going to be the new coach of the Cleveland Cavs. All these ex-Magic players are ending up as coaches or in the front office nowadays.
Reggie Theus, Scott Skiles, Otis Smith, Sam Vincent, and Sidney Green were all on the inaugural Magic team in 1989. Theus coached the Kings, Skiles coaches the Bucks, Otis is the Magic GM, Vincent was the coach of the Bobcats not too long ago, and Green became a college coach (and is also former Florida Gator Taurean Green's dad).
Now later players like Monty Williams and Brian Shaw are about to become first time head coaches. I expect Darrell Armstrong to become one down the line too, he's now an Assistant Coach with the Mavs.
Is there any chance the Celtics can get a max contract like Wade/Johnson, if they don't resign Allen? :?mischa_bartonWade is almost guaranteed to stay in Miami, plus I heard Pierce wants a new deal.
nah, someone will be dumb enough to resign allen to a big contract so he's probably not coming back to boston, especially since they were trying so hard to get rid of him
and pierece only opted out so that he could resign for a 5 year $90 million contract which will be cheaper for the celts this year but in the long run is gonna kill them. their window is pretty much closed i think. they'll make the playoffs next year but its downhill after that, especially since doc is leaning towards not coming back
Free agency has officiall begun, this should be fun :)
and lol at the Nets putting up this giant billboard right near Madison Square Garden...

he is not worth 4 years and $20 million. what a joke.
an inside source is saying Wade to Chicago is very likely. We all know Chicago is his home and i'm sure he'd like to be closer to his family and play alongside Rose. He had a 2nd meeting with the team today
"If the Bulls can work out a deal to ship Luol Deng's contract out of town, they would have the funds to add James or Bosh to the puzzle, too"

I'm surprised, Miami has a crap ton of cap room and can get him some help, plus he is that franchise right now. I still think he stays in Miami and Bosh joins him.an inside source is saying Wade to Chicago is very likely. word is wade is meeting in chicago with his agent...and so is chris bosh. wow if this happens bron stays in cleveland. but the bulls dont have the room so they'd have to trade deng first. wow that would be a bad ass teaman inside source is saying Wade to Chicago is very likely. RT @ChiTribuneLive: CSN has confirmed that Wade and Bosh are both currently at Henry Thomas' office with #Bulls management

lol at them sending the Alpha 1's and not the OG's or at least some Retros. Alpha 1's look so ugly.
Colt, not sure how interested you are in collecting Kings stuff but there's a pretty sweet Tyreke Evans mini poster in this past months SLAM (the one with Lebron in a Knicks jersey/Wade in a Bulls jersey).
When I was away at school I had SLAM mini posters all over my wall.

STAT goes to New York, I was expecting this though. I honestly can't see any other really big name going there.
where can I cop that magazine? id get it just for the poster honestlyColt45fool
Most of the supermarkets and bookstores (Borders, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million) here have it. I would tell you Publix but I don't think they have Publix up north by you. I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart would carry it, maybe Target.
I think one issue at a store costs $4 or $5.... I have a subscription and it's only $11 a year for 10 issues so I don't mind that.
The cover would be one of these:
or
c'mon wade and bron, stay put. that gives the rockets a better chance at getting bosh. he'd be stupid not to come to houston. we offer him the best chance to win with a healthy yao and k-mart and possibly brooks(if we dont trade him)
and i LOVE patrick patterson. he's gonna be a great role player for us . carl landry 2.0
wade won't stay put if lebron stays put. im under the impression that wade and bosh will go to miami or chi-town, and bron will stay in cleveland.
Amare to the Knicks, and Chris Duhon to the Magic...
Interesting... I don't like the Duhon signing though.

I get the same feeling
chicago would have to trade deng and thats a really hard contract to move. and if they can't they cant sign both. plus bosh would make $30 million more if he goes to the rockets than if he would go to the bulls or heat. thats a lot of money to walk away fromwade won't stay put if lebron stays put. im under the impression that wade and bosh will go to miami or chi-town, and bron will stay in cleveland.

Bron wont stay in cleveland if he is solo he knows his career is ****ed if he stays in cleveland. I hate that Bosh can only basically sign with a team if its a S&TNetYankEagleLeBron ain't good, he's had plenty of good players in Cleveland, fact is he can't win a ship without another superstar, and I love how that's going to tarnish his legacy.
Chris Duhon to the Magic...
SmittyPeppers
Magic needed a good backup so it's decent, overpaid for him a little though. We tried to sign him two years ago but he went to NYC because he wanted to start. Two miserable years later looks like he would rather be a backup on a winning ballclub now lol. Hopefully he can get back to his Chicago form.

good players in cleveland? Mo williams and Antwan Jamison were the only players that you can label as good. Anyways has anyone been paying attention to summer league

Mo Williams was an all-starToronto might as well trade Bosh to Orlando for Gortat + Pietrus + Brandon Bass... that's better than what Miami is offering.Orlando_Magicyeah but will Bosh S&T to Orlando...
actually, don't answer that question...
