[QUOTE="twogirlz"]Rated R Comic Book Movies don't exist anymore.Oleg_Huzwog
Punisher? Watchmen? 300?
V for Vendetta?Terminator has not been ruined. the story has now shifted and is no longer a "I'm hea ta protect yoo" but is the beginning of the war. Movie was pretty average though.
lol, knocked up was hilarious. R-rated movies are being cut so they can be pg13/14A so that more people (teenagers) can and will go see them, since the companies need all the $$ they can get from ticket sales.XilePrincessbingo. its all about the bottom line. frightened parents will not take their kids to see R rated films so they have to be toned down a tad to cater to the teenage audience which has loads of money to blow on popcorn movies.

Yeah most movies are made to sell tickets, so because typical demographics that go to see movies (like teens/young adults and couples) continue to pay for romantic comedies, gross-out comedies, comic book flicks, sequels, and pg-13 horror movies, they'll continue to get pumped out.

Dude, Terminator 3, that thing was garbage! I would love to know why everybody hates it. Sure, its not as good as Judgement Day but it was still decent. The consensus seems to be that TC has pointed out the amazing factoid that bad movies are bad?xaos
The conclusion: gay movies...are gay.
You know what's really annoying me about comedies by the "Superbad"-crew? They aren't funny! Seriously comedies aren't funny anymore, they arent even jokes or funny situations. Comedies of today have degenerated into a sequence of awkward circumstances. Awkward is not funny...it just awkward. That's all comedies are today. Its like the director says "Yeah...ummm why dont we set up an awkward situation and see what happens..." not cool. And these movies like Superbad and what not are really terrible. I think the movie that popularied this "Lets be funny by not being funny" movement was Juno.II_Seraphim_II
I actually love these movies :|
I bet that if I listed all of the good films from this decade, I'd get: "haven't seen them", "haven't heard of them" or "those are boring".

Sin City? Also as far as just great movies goes we had plenty last year alone. Milk, Gran Torino, Slumdog Millionaire, and The Dark Knight just to name a few.I second this.I bet that if I listed all of the good films from this decade, I'd get: "haven't seen them", "haven't heard of them" or "those are boring".

oh and as far as this decade and general goes I have four words for you "Lord of the Rings."

[QUOTE="twogirlz"] There are literally no Rated R movies anymore, everything has been dumbed down. spazzx625Misuse of 'literally' literally makes your argument moot.
I literally propose someone post a link to the Mad TV "literally" skit.

You sick bastard! :x You are probably the same guy turns off LIFE and Pushing Daises and Sarah O'Connor Chronicles and 4400 just so you can catch the latest episode of Night Rider and 90210 oh yeah, and Gossip Girl :evil: :PI'm not trolling, do you guys even know what trolling means?twogirlzNah, ya just seem to be wrong :)
[QUOTE="xaos"][QUOTE="twogirlz"]I'm not trolling, do you guys even know what trolling means?twogirlzNah, ya just seem to be wrong :) name a Saving Private Ryan, Fight Club, or Terminator 1's of the 00's. You can't, cause they all suck Either you didn't check il-cattivo's post, or you are, in fact, trolling
I'm not trolling, do you guys even know what trolling means?twogirlzRegardless, il-cattivo's post pretty much shut you and your thread down. It's best you just take this time to reflect on what's transpired.
are u kidding? the same comic book movie crap comes out every single year in the 00's, they even made two hulk remakes not even 5 years apart from each other.twogirlzYet you are upset that some clone of Boondock Saints and Big Lebowski haven't come out? I realize that consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, but come on... a little bit of it won't kill you :P
You know, we could very easily list a bunch of great films that came out this decade, claim that the 90's doesn't have the equivalent and declare that decade as terrible.
But that'd be trolling.
