[QUOTE="kayoticdreamz"] oh silly me expecting 12 year olds to stand up for themselves. a 12 year old girl at that i guess they are weak and fragile creatures that cant do that /sarcasm seriously why cant a 12 year old ya know stand up to a 14 year old? also given the fact boys tend to mature slower so there is a high chance the 12 year old girl is bigger than the 14 year old boy. when i was 14 i was still smaller than my mom who is 5'3 so this isnt exactly unreasonable to think she is in fact the bigger of the two. heck i have a 14 year old cousin that is still smaller than his mom sort of how nature is like that. girls hit that growth spurt sooner for some reason. also plenty of small people cant kick some serious but...so again why cant a 12 year old girl stand up to a 14 year old boy?

 You're kidding? You are really excusing the young man's behavior, and the behavior of the school's administrators because the girl should have simply defended herself? Really? So a girl, 12, should have to fight two boys, 14, because they are bullying/hitting her and not one adult should do anything? I don't even think women are deserving of any more protection than a man but I don't get why you are saying that a child should fight, on multiple occasions, and not worry about adult intervention.

When I was in middle/high school, if any guy, of any size, beat on a girl like that... I swear to Bob he would have had about twenty or thirty guys stomping his head in for a good few minutes. He'd have lost ALL of his damn teeth, not just two. Chivalry is alive and well down here. For as much as a fail as this is for the school and parents, where the hell were the fellow male classmates?

this is the damage frivolous lawsuits have wrought upon society: people are too afraid to do the right thing for fear of the justice system being (mis)used against them.

we see people getting beaten and we are too scared, not of the perpetrators, but of our own legal system, to do anything. And we pass this on to our kids; "dont fight for anything" we say "Mommy and daddy might lose their house if you do!"

But yeah, back in my day (which was like just 14 years ago) people would not stand for this; the kid responsible for this would have had his ass handed to him by his classmates.

The hell? Sixth grade is what 11 years old? If I seen a 14 year old boy punch some girls teeth out it would be lights out for him, I don't care what his reason was.

meh its just bullying? this is cleary more than bullying. this is a clear cut an assult on a 12 year old girl. who got punched by two 14 year old two week apart one on a bus and one in teh school. there is not just "bullying" this is a serious matter school have a job to keep kids safe. there not doing it. they need to be fired.

There isnt much they can do. The most that will happen to the kid is that he will get suspended or expelled. In my old high school one guy gave another one a concussion by smashing his head into a pole. 3 day suspension, slap on the hand "Dont do it again".

Wrong they need to be doing there job they fail this is an assult not a bullying case. yes time change and school are more afarid to do anything remember the lovey hand book you and your parents sign saying you would not harm and agree to those terms. well its a joke when the school does not take it into the rules and act like it never happen.

there has been no lawsuit in this. they should be as the school faild cleary to provide a safe everioment for there student. there is no reason to fight what does fighitng help solved problems... oh ok lets look into that with eypgt

posters were peaceful... and look how that trun out. oh yea "they fought and won  they didn't need to fight them to prove that fighting does not help.

This was back in 2006, not that long ago. Those handbook things are a joke, they dont mean anything. Im not saying that what the kids did was justified, it was wrong in every way and they are horrible kids. The only difference here is that the parent is going crazy over the fact that nothing can be done and blames the school for it. These kids are too young for anything to happen to them.

2006...2007..1 year .... 2008 2... years ...2009 3.... years.... 2010.. 4... years.... 2011 ... 5 years.... so yea alot of things can change in five years. believe it or not. rather its a joke or not they follow some of those rules and the no torlecne needs to start being inforced. i swere to god if i am the praincable i would be telling them that if i found out anyone is beating anyone i will supened your *** and you not be allowed back on school propterty and would have to write 500 word sorry and get it approved. i would also report an assult like this to the police. this is not bullying this is an assult. when a lady gets assult in teh real world and she reports it he get arrested or charged. now with young boy it may be a tad diffrent a fine would do just fine... with commuinty serivce

Eye for an eye I say. The girl was hit so let the girl hit the boy. Then their parents can smack the tar out of both of them for being violent.

Police wont do anything. The kid cant be done for assault, hes too young. If you were to do something like that then you would gets the bullies mother on your *** for being too severe with your punishments.

I don't know why schools just don't kick students that act violently out of their schools, now the school could be held liable and might face a potentially large lawsuit that could have been avoided when the violence first began.
