Meh.  I, for one, don't know the source of that specific thing, but there's one little thing I've always found interesting:

Sura 9 verse 5: "Once the Sacred Months are past, (and they refuse to make peace) you may kill the idol worshipers when you encounter them, punish them, and resist every move they make."  (Source)

No one has ever been able to give me a satisfactory explanation of this verse that paints Islam in a favorable light.

This surah was revealed when idol worshippers didnt allow muslims to practice their religion and were always creating trouble for them,they killed poor muslims and what not.That verse is basically allowing muslims to defend themselves.

Islam never ever says to kill people just becasue they dont accept your faith.

By preserving the quran it means that the original state of the quran will remain intact and not just that but it's identity will also be never lost like there wont be a dispute on what is the original form.

Sorry if this was mentioned already but why are their multiple sects of Islam, like Shia and Sunni? If Islam was always correct then naturally there shouldn't be a division on what it is saying.

Regardless, my two complaints with you are as follows...

a) Trying to impose your religion on others is bad, I don't care which religion does it. Especially on Gamespot OT... a video game forum not to mention one full of athiests like myself.

b) I hate when people don't question their religion. Whether it be evangelical or muslim a like, you hold your religion as a self-evident truth when I question if you can legitimately prove God's existence.

EDIT: In hindsight, I probably can't accurately disprove God's existence either but that doesn't mean your correct and I'm wrong.

Do you know the definition of the word "Jihad"? It means to struggle/to strive. So if parents are striving to educate their children, to the best of their abilities, they are doing a Jihad. And if they die during this, their status is same as a martyr (who dies in a batlefield).

A martyr does enter heaven. However, muslims are allowed to battle only when they have been attacked first (regardless of what the so-called-muslims are doing). I believe, USA and other countries respect their soldiers who have died in battle..... It's the same case here.
