The qualifications is being alive and being a a user on Gamespot. As for it's definition, I'll leave it up to your imagination. ;) I'd love to have the infamous awards make a return. The OTcars are just for fun and if people take it too seriously and start complaining, well then...that's why we can't have nice things. I've never been modded for anything said in SW, all my mods are from OT. Just reading some of the things said in there though (nVidiaGamer has to get an award somewhere) are just priceless.
The awards should be edited to less serious versions such as "The user you'ld most like to have a drink with" maybe we can replace some of the personality ones with those as the ones there at the moment are very much up to interpretation.

she has that site but is taking a break to concentrate on studies and work, she might be back for a bit after January exams. Either way she was still a major poster if you look at the whole of the year.

Would it also be possible to give awards for actions and not just to a specific user? Things like:
One-liner of the year
Thread of the year
Best debate
Overused phrase of the year
Subject that is discussed far too much
Event that caused the most hoopla in OT
I like those... a lot. Although for most timid we could have "lurkiest user"
Yea, although that one would be hard to judge, as you have no idea how many people are lurking at any given time. I also really like the Troll Award someone mentioned earlier.
