Under the circumstances, I am willing to withdraw my name from consideration as OT host, meaning that LJS, who has the second most votes and was the OT King last year, would be the natural choice of host. He seems to want the position a lot more than I do, in any case.

I only request one provision of my withdrawal, which is that in future years the OT host be chosen by votes by Gamespot users. If this isn't acceptable, I will request that the voting continue until whatever deadline bluezy sets and that the host be whoever has the most votes at that point; and, if the host is chosen and is not the winner of the vote, I will not support that host (nor would I accept the position as host if I did not win in votes).

I hope this can resolve this matter. I'm looking forward to participating in the OTcars, even not as the host.

Also, thanks a lot to the 80 people who voted for me. I'm glad to see I'm appreciated by so many users. :)

Well the opinions of some users I respect (pianist and bytaylor) seem to be that LJS should host but that in future years it should be by vote, so I'm abiding by their opinion here. Otherwise, I'd gladly let the vote continue to its end and (if I won in the voting) host the OTcars.

Well, for better or worse, it seems to be more or less over now. I can't say I'm thrilled with what seems to be the result, but I'll accept it. At least I have the satisfaction of getting the most votes. :)

Really? I don't see it being much different in that respect. The same group of people stood out to me this year as last year. But I suppose we'll find out in the nomination round. Since I'm not here as often, some people may have escaped my attention.

bluezy added them into the opening post. Something that we did in the past was have mass conversations in Windows Live Messenger so everyone was a part of the conversation at the same time.ff7fan2

i think chess master should be host as i envision him as clint eastwood and as we know clint is awesomeness so chessmaster for host and he likes metal and is funny guy

i wouldnt even try to im not like that if i won by nominating myself it wouldnt be as awesome as some1 else seeing as someone actually thought of me as being the best in the category
