@nirgal: I don’t know anything about the coins you’re talking about and I doubt most Americans know either or care. The part I was talking about was when you basically called anyone that voted for Trump as having no college education and therefore stupid. There’s plenty of stupid on both sides and it doesn’t discriminate whether or not someone has a college degree.

@joshrmeyer: I absolutely never used the word "all". It's the truth that trump has done substantially better among people without college degrees and it's true that education has a high correlation with IQ.

Almost a 50/50 among college educated men, The gap is definately bigger among college educated women though. But still, much lower than what it usually is.

But yes, appealing to non college educated voters continues to be a challenge for democrats.

I see a bunch of leftys not saying shit as ICE rounds up rapists and gang members in sanctuary cities. Why does the left ignore it. Is it because they are the ones that allowed these people to stay in the first place, let these people be released back into the community after committing multiple crimes.

Sanctuary cities are bad policy, this has caused hurt in communities. You have no moral high ground. The anti maga crowd are the ones who need to do soul searching.

Democrats had a bipartisan bill to be signed that would address all this but the MAGA took their orders from Trump and refused to bring it to a vote.

Trump was corrupt the last time he was in office, how anyone ignored that and voted for him tells you they only care about the rhetoric and hurting others. Meanwhile, magas are crying as his policies hurt them.

You only have to look in this thread to see his supporters gleefully posting memes and false facts. Biden actually had less immigration crossings than Trump did pre covid. They did dive during the pandemic but that was not because of Trump's border policies. Trump is eroding any standing the United States has in the world and they don't see that. They think a country, any country, can exist in today's global economy as isolationist. They are foolish, uneducated, and lack any critical thinking skills.

Many Americans care. The coins wiped out their savings. Not that I feel sorry for maga. But it was a scam. Release the coins and classic rug pull. If you don't know about them, then you shouldn't say it's a fake story.

Oh, I'm just fascinated by the virtuous knights in their internet armour beating the drums of doom (all or nothing arguments), regardless of geographic locale, while relying on the important -isms to frame their arguments of moral superiority. "You're not wise enough to see what's clearly in front of you!" I do feel for the folks who need this meaning in their life, and hope they can find a healthy alternative with some good coping mechanisms. :)

This memo (if accurate) would be related to activities/events. Do you think the government should be spending money on activities and events related to non-federal holidays? By extension, do you think the cancellation of activities (if any) surrounding celebrating these examples would be bigoted? And why? Ex: say they do not light the white house with rainbow colors and hold a pride event on the white house lawn, etc. What's your thoughts?

No misguided impressions here, after all, I'm used to seeing folks getting bent out of shape when their favorite inanimate object (gaming system) is criticized. Add a personal element to people's convictions of ideology, and it's a ripe recipe for sourness. This is especially true where users attack the who... Instead of the what. Again, I don't blame folks for it since it's the easy path to take.

I hope what we see is an inverse of what the right has been saying--"let the states decide"--all these years and the non-Trump folks manage to maintain some sort of power or leverage over the federal government by essentially taking over most states.

It's important to note, too, that states like California contribute to the federal government more than it takes, while red states tend to do the opposite. Let's remember that when we decide to cancel income tax and "let the states decide" what to do from here on out.

It's kind of amusing, in either case, to see the flip. I just hope the folks that voted for Trump have the integrity and strength to admit they made a mistake and do the right thing for their state and local elections.

It's okay because I'm very patient, when you have a change of heart and wish to actually back up what you're claiming I'll be here waiting. Out of curiosity, what's your measurement of when something/anything is made in good faith? For example, say one makes an exaggerated claim that they know can't supported, or perhaps they refuse to back up, is that in good faith? :)
