This is getting ridiculous, can we stop talking about Islam please? I'm a Muslim and I'm getting bored. Beside that its getting really obvious. GazaAliwhy not watch the video? really, I would like to hear a muslim's opinion on it. Seems like all true points to me.

Was that video a total lie in your opinion?
[QUOTE="GazaAli"]This is getting ridiculous, can we stop talking about Islam please? I'm a Muslim and I'm getting bored. Beside that its getting really obvious. herpderp9000why not watch the video? Making to much sense? But really, I would like to hear a muslim's opinion on it. Seems like all true points to me. At this point, I'd rather watch porn.
Beside that its getting really obvious. GazaAliThis is like a criminal saying to the judge 'well, of COURSE you'd mention the burglary and the arson and the assault; how predictable of you!'
Any video on Youtube... no matter what evidence used to back it up should always be taken with a grain of salt.

This.
Organized religion will always be co-opted to one's own world view. This applies to the TC as well. Boring propaganda. These aren't the droids we're looking for; move along.
[QUOTE="GazaAli"]alright it looks inevitable to watch the video.cheesyjon
Tell us if it's right or not.
Indeed. And give reason as to WHY it's wrong, if it is.
Why? Just becase it's on youtube? . The whitehouse has it's own channel. I take anything coming from this president with a grain of salt, but would you just becase it's on youtube?Any video on Youtube... no matter what evidence used to back it up should always be taken with a grain of salt.

Which is just the kind of closed-minded dogmatism that causes the world to be so full of unquestioning Muslim drones.*yawn* same old lol worthy lies about islam. haters gonna hate

[QUOTE="Maniacc1"]This is getting ridiculous. :roll:herpderp9000Maybe you should watch the video before posting. And how exactly do you know he DIDN'T watch the video.
If only the religious had stuck to that mantra throughout history, I might be able to share your apathy.*sigh* Your religion is yours and mine is mine. Who gives a crap?

I don't feel like watching the whole thing, but I will say one thing: The author of that video has no proof that the "earlier, peaceful" verses in the Qur'an have been abrogated by "later, violent" verses. Also, the text gave me a headache.
I watched the whole thing and i don't know what to think. It comes from a user who is obviously anti-muslim, so I am inclined to not trust it.
And how exactly do you know he DIDN'T watch the video.[QUOTE="Virtual_Price"][QUOTE="herpderp9000"] Maybe you should watch the video before posting.T_REX305
hes watching him
I am
Not only is the video made/hosted by a clearly biased individual, but it's produced in the exact same manner as several propaganda videos I've seen in the past.
Thanks, but I think I'll pass on this. If I want to learn about Islam I'll talk to someone I know is knowledgeable about it, and/or I'll read the Qu'ran.
I liked the text and that is waht I have always heard from every muslim IRL. The part written later always supercedes the part written eairler if there is a contradiction.I don't feel like watching the whole thing, but I will say one thing: The author of that video has no proof that the "earlier, peaceful" verses in the Qur'an have been abrogated by "later, violent" verses. very interesting...
and very tiring, it literally disarms all moderate and liberal Muslims whilst at the same time argues Islam to be considered a political ideology rather then a religion.
There was a time when Jewish state of Israel, and Christian kingdoms ruled by whatever they could glean from their sacred texts. The same could be said for places like Tibet prior to China's invasion.
and like Christianity, Islam is a religion that prostylitzing and thus will attempt to spread via conversions. just like Christianity and other faiths.
---------------------------
Also this law of abgoration is BS.. and i disagree with it. it's been argued amongst the clerics in Saudi (despite the purponents for it winning more of then not).in Pakistan and in many
It was created by men as a theory in order to have a sense of how to rule a country. Nothing more, and i have never read anything in the Quran that states for anything like the law of abrogation.
As evidence to what i can provide here
----------------------------
Muslims are only allowed to lie under 3 circumstances (if not under these circumstances it is a sin).
In the midst of battle
two bring about reconciliation between persons
for a husband to lie to his wife AND VICE VERSA ONLY in order to fix a bigger family problem. (you know in those movies where the wife is worried for her husband, and he lies to her to keep her safe from whatever truth - be it for something noble however.)
---------------------------
all in all thanks for sharing it, because these are real issues with other Muslims, and they must be dealt with (Sharia law and this 'law' of abrogation).
but i still find it frankly insulting for the literally hundreds of other Muslims i know, and how they act in their faith.
I have dealt with my fair share of fundamentalism Islam (i come from the most conservative one out there), but that doesn't give me an excuse to drop the faith, rather it emboldens me. stand not just for your own, but for all.

Thats what the video tells you to do, read the Qu'ran if you don't believe it.[QUOTE="ghoklebutter"]I liked the text and that is waht I have always heard from every muslim IRL. quran doesnt contradict especially when it comes to verses related to violence. non-muslims often take verses out of context to prove their points

ive read the quran. that video is a joke. now you go read it as well :)
Alright watched the video, and regardless of what you think, this is total load of crap. Now, you can say "sure you are a Muslim, you are supposed to say so" but most of you who are used to see me posting here know how frank and plain truthful I am. The video is just wrong, I can't give reasons because it is just wrong. You give reasons when you "debate", but the video is obviously not about debate. One thing to notice is that, the narrator is full of himself and with such an attitude it should be clear that its not to be taken seriously. Also, I'm a 22 years old Muslim and a native Arabic speaker and I swear I don't know what is that "TAQIYA" he is talking about. But from my understanding he is claiming that we openly deceive people and the Islamic faith encourages such an act. I know where he is coming from, but he literally took it out of its context. In the Islamic faith its prohibited to lie, unless in 3 situations: 1-to tell your wife she is the most beautfiul woman on earth. 2- to make two people make up and 3 in times of war which is natural and all the nations and countries I have ever heard of did/are doing the same thing, its called intelligence. I don't know, the video is full of **** and you can believe in whatever you want for all I care. GazaAliHe provided lots of sources, you provided non. So I believe him.
