I never said there was anything wrong with it. The point that a pm is a lot more practical can't be disputed though. And most well know, respected users who suicide (few and far between as they are) will get a dedicated ban thread anyway where users can say goodbye

Are you sure you're man enough for this? This stuff gets intense sometimes. If you aren't properly prepared, you'll end up waking in a ditch with several things being wrong. It still... happens to the best of us sometimes, though. :(

I didn't know the user well enough to send him a pm, so posting in his thread, I thought was a better option.

I'm not actually referring to any group in particular. It was just in response to what you said about GS forgetting what the meaning of troll is. Though both groups you named kind of fall into that category.

I dont believe they are trolls. At least not necessarily. I have witnessed one porn account suicide and it was a really low level user that trolled the forums even before he suicided so I am sure he did it to disgust us all (it was a weird fetish porn).

I'd say they probably fit in as a low level troll. It's about all they can do unless they decide to stick around for weeks/months and embed themselves into the community for a more effective method.

I thought trolls are users who post stuff just to annoy others: usually a controversial opinion very bluntly and offensively, intentionally impolite, or generally have no intention other than to bother.

Sure an account suicide bothers to some extend some of the people who view it but imo thats not the intent always or its not the same thing as trolling.
