I think for the most part people just don't think... they want to get their "inb4lock" post in, but don't bother thinking about the consequences. I mean, if the mods wanted to, they could technically ban everyone who posted in the thread...

Ah. Disappointed, I would've expected more from him. I remember one suicide, a user posted his favorite screencaps from a game, 20 - something or so links, and 5 or 6 of them led to these hardcore pron images... lasted like 6 pages before mods caught on. I applauded him.
Its like people who smoke and drink, they are fully aware of the possible averse outcome and yet they still do it. I think with the person being highly visible makes it that much more appealing for others to join in

So did the rules change as to posting in porn suicide threads? I'm not naming names but I know a lot of people who posted in it and aren't suspended. Though in the last one me and the other 20 individuals did in fact get 1-2 day suspensions.
As for the topic, suicide threads give me lulz, it's sometime nice to post in it to express the lulz I experienced.
I also saw a screenshot of the OP of Cudi's thread and I lol'd.

I don't really buy the whole concept of country thing. things arent' as simple as if you hate something just ignore it or go some place else, sometimes you don't have a choice. some people are reckless and don't care.
I don't think people care enough about breaking the rules to not post in them. Not sure what the punishment is but I doubt it's more than a days suspension. I only got a five day suspension (I think) for encouraging more material, and I'm sure that's one of the worse things you can do.
Hell yeah I would. Heck I've been in one that had about 100 posts plus I've seen people suicide in sticky threads too. I only post in this place for the lulz and nothing more. If I weren't bored every now and again, I wouldn't even look on this site as it is rubbish for gaming news and none of the reviewers are as interesting as the original ones.

Word. I didn't get a chance to be part of that, but I'd have no problem getting a suspension for posting in a pr0n suicide thread for a user I liked.

the people that post in the thread :? oh my bad. I was at work and didn't get to read the entirety of the thread. So yeah in that case just because those threads instantly become the most fun threads in the forum. Seriously it becomes a question of how many times you can post in the thread before the time runs out. add the risky factor in and its entertainment at it's forumy best.

I've been here for the past four years and I've never encountered a porn suicide thread. I've seen a porn suicide took place in a System Wars(a user spammed porn in different threads) but never a porn suicide thread.

...that is probably the best answer. People enjoy risky things (sex, etc) personally I think it shouldn't be moddable. Last time I did it I had totally forgotten it was a moddable offence and and lost two level over it. Far too harsh if you ask me,
