My mom almost had an abortion with my brother, but she thought things through and now he has a 4 year scholarship to the Naval Acadamy:D

abortion isnt a SIMPLE issue

but i dont think its murder. personally, i dont think someone is ALIVE until the breath and eat for real for the first time

If a woman is raped and gets pregnant as a result she should be allowed to get an abortion. That is an unwanted child and it is not her fault some horny...guy...for lack of desire to get banned, decided he was going to take advantage of her.

Sometimes women don't want to get pregnant and use protection but protection is not fail safe and as a result could become impreganted. I think they should be allowed an abortion.

Woman of any age who sleep around and neglect to use protection and have gotten several abortions should not be allowed an more abortions. If it gets to that point they deserve to take responsibility for their stupidity.

Teens who are fooling around should be allowed to get abortions because teens have a high likelyhood of giving birth prematurely which can be detrimental to the baby and equally traumatizing to the mother.

As far as I am concerned, if you don't like abortions, don't get one. But don't deny other people an abortion just because you don't agree.

I think abortion is murder when somebody gets it in like, the third and maybe second trimesters, but I don't believe that a young fetus is a human. I'm going to leave this thread right now since nobody can convince anybody on the other side of the argument that they are right. Though I do find it pretty ironic that the poll asked whether abortion was murder with the "lets be honest" portion clearly attempting to make people say that abortion is wrong, and yet more people still believed it should be legal.

Many of those mothers over twenty fit into the 2 categories of "Sleep around" and "Accident" and I think that if they at least try to use protection (1 in 6 condoms is faulty mind you) they should be allowed to have an abortion. There is also the issue of cost. A lot of women fresh out of college go home to there boyfriends and may get pregnant, on purose or by accident I don't know, and then realise they don't have a stable job and can't afford it. Putting a child up for adoption could be emotionally painful and can have lasting effects especially on younger women. They sometimes worry about whether or not the child is in a good home and feel afterwards that they abandoned their own flesh and blood. Sometimes it is easier to get an abortion because they have not yet gone through the experience of giving birth and the child is not quite real to them yet. I think that if most people were put into a position where they were going to have a child they didn't want they would get an abortion. And as I said earlier, if you don't like abortions that's fine, but I think that women do have a choice and it is better in a clinic with sterile tools than in an ally with a coat hanger.
