He was pretty good i'd say. He tapped into the outrage of the common man to gain power, and once in power he re-energized the economy, built perhaps the most powerful military industrial complex in the world (at least before the second half of WW2), and gave his people confidence with the peaceful annexation of the Third Reich's germanic neighbors; Austria and Chekeslovakia, as well as the re-occupation of the Rhineland, which showed that he intended to stand up to the western powers. The opening stages of the war were also handled well, although that probably should be attributed more to Hitler's generals than Hitler himself.fidosimIf I remember correctly it was Hitler himself who came up with the idea of hitting France through the low lands not the generals, they did however plan it in depth. When operation barbarossa took place the generals got annoyed at him as it was his idea to attack them but they did plan it.
