I don't think about it. The fact that it's inevitable and will happen to everyone stops me from worrying.

I dont think your the only one. And everyone here that is saying otherwise doesnt understand the implications of dying. It isnt death that kills you, its the moments that lead up to death that destroy you.

I do the exact same thing, even with the tv on. I haven't had it happen in a while thank God. I absolutely hate when I get my mind stuck on the conundrum (SP?) of death.

Will I just rot in the ground?

Will I go to heaven or hell?

If I go to heaven, won't it get boring after a while?

If I got to hell, well that will just plain blow...

Will I get reincarninated?

If I get reincarnated, will I come back as sexy female?

Yeah it is. I have been doing that since I can remember. I used to look at my dog and wonder what I would do when he died when I was a little kid.

His time came, and thank God I took it a lot better than I thought I would. That dog had been with me for the first 10 years of my life....

I Never Fear What I Don't Understand, I'm not Christopher Columbus, in fact rather the opposite. I embrace death as it is just a fraction of what my people, the people of the earth call, the circle of life. Birth-Life-Death-Rebirth, I have faith in the afterlife, and that each soul will go into The Creator's hands when they're time has passed. And its not death that is important, it is Life which is important.

Yes, but not as often as it used to be (I had serious panic attacks because of it all the time between 5 and 10 years old) and only when my mind is wandering at night. I can't sleep without a TV or radio or something because of it.

Actually, any time you see me on GS after midnight it's because I'm trying to keep my mind off it. I don't know why, but screwing around on OT for a half hour or so really calms me down.

It's because you know there is no way Hell can be any worse than the OT.

I don't focus on death. I mean, it's about as extraordinary as birth. And I don't dwell on either. All that scares me about death is being physically destroyed, and even that is just physical pain anyway and after that it's nothin. There's not much to think about.

I'm not really worried about hell. I guess the reason it bothers me is because of the certainty I feel about death. I don't know why, but I'm just as certain that death is the same thing as not existing as christians are sure of heaven and hell. I try and convince myself that no one really knows, but it doesn't help.

Death doesn't bother me... the whole universe is going to die a heat death anyway (or possibly a big crunch, in which case everything may get reborn again)... so everything's going to die, nothing lasts forever.

I am afraid of dying a painful death. Usually at nights I am lying in bed with the TV on then all of sudden like a movie turns on in my head, like a day dream of someone opening my bedroom door and stabbing me in the chest...It freaks me out sometimes

Aye, there's an end to everything. You used to not exist and you'll go back to that, unless you consider reincarnation. Which is totally possible and even logical. But not believing in an afterlife is absolutely not a downer at all.
