I'm thinking about going to Canada once I graduate.

Just what we need. A bunch of poor immigrants from south of the border dragging down our economy. ;-)
LOL. I'll be at the Home Depot. I'm cheaper and better than the other Americans. I'm a better Canadian day laborer, I can say "sorry" in that cute, clipped Canadian accenthes done more than bush did in 8 years. .....to screw up the country..... That's not an easy thing to do. Don't worry, unemployment is on the rise again, our debt is out of control, and we are heading towards a double dip recession (the lack of new jobs are killing consumer confidence/spending).[QUOTE="Darkainious"]
And Obama is still blaming bush. Do something to fix it, instead of just raising taxes.

Too late, OT is full of liberals who jump at the chance to defend Obama.
...Just being honest.
more like its full of liberals trying to bash obama, he has done more for usa than bush. Bush did get us into this, obama has only made things statisticly better. Thats a fact. Lol, the economy is floundering. If there is recovery it is very small. Every time there is a good report, there is also a bad one.[QUOTE="SoraX64"]Get out then, if you're going to think about abandoning the US at a time like this we don't want you here anyway.telefanatic
I have been laid off for the past year, cant find a job and i got a business degree. Currently in law school, and i have a trade i used to weld for 5 years. I cant find a job, my unemployment is about to run out in October. Im going to starve and become homeless if i dont find a job by then. What do you want me to do not abandon US? It has abandoned me.
Are you white? Do you have Job experience? Do you have an accent? If you met the above then fly to my country and you will get hired in about a week lawl.

Man, I got laid off and I haven't been able to find a job anywhere. It's seems like we'll never pull out of this recession, and in fact it's getting worse. Everything is being outsourced to foreign companies so our government and these corporations are taking away more and more jobs. I'm scared man, really scared.

People should learn to save money during uptimes.people seem to think that when people get laid off they have about $30,000k sitting around and the ability to get a small business loan while not having income at the same time. Outside of having a lemonade stand or work as an independent contractor you cant start a small business unless you can get access to a good amount of cash

[QUOTE="Darkainious"]How the government handles international disasters is very very important. Pretend obama is the best man ever all you want but the fact is he isnt handling the issue well at all. Its not his job to fix the spill but it is his job to make sure the companies do and are following safety regulations. As taken from this guys mouth http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100609210005AA5q5Bb The spill isn't his fault But how the govt & BP are responding is his fault.. BP is not paying as they should and people are having problems.. Obama needs to pressure them to give the funds to the govt and distribute them NOW when people need them.. I just read today where Obama is giving Hamas in the Gaza 500 million dollars to rebuild. We are broke and our own country needs 500 million for unemployment or food programs. What about US, the USA. WE need help.. Are you going to acknowledge the well sourced critique I've made of your previous claim that Obama didn't respond quickly on the oil spill? After we finish talking about the timeline, then we can talk about Obama having gotten BP to agree to pay 20 billion dollars up-front to the U.S. government to pay for the spill and how the leading Republican member of the committee who has jurisdiction over this called that a "shakedown" and apologized to BP for Obama making them do that.[QUOTE="kipohippo021"] seriously, what does he think hes doing? does he think hes superman? he cant just sit around and drink, he needs to go immedietly.

Because his life has been turned upside down? Some people have responsibilities and it's a serious situation. People don't magically have a roof over their heads and food doesn't magically appear on your plate.

Its not much of a breeze when your homeless and hungry.
If you're homeless and hungry chances are you won't qualify for the military.

Because it would be tough to pass the physical entrance exams with a malnourished body.

Contrary to popular belief it is not easy to enlist...

It all depends on the enrollment quotas. If they are on pace to meat their quota, they get picky.
I used to be in a similar situation a few years back when I was living in Michigan and still going to school. It sucked really bad and at the time I had like maybe a paycheck or 2 stocked up and was freaking out that everything was just going to come crumbling down. Luckily I was able to get in on a temp job and during that time I decided to start looking in other states for work.
I know some people don't like the idea of just getting up and leaving but in desperate situations sometimes that is best thing to do. I know right now Austin, Texas is in a huge tech boom for some reason and companies are hiring all kinds of IT people which is what I do but I'm content for now in Indiana which seems to be doing a lot better then some states during these economic times.
they started calling it depression in the 30's because panic was too harsh of a wordDon't panic.
