You sacrifice a lot when you enlist. More than most of you could handle.
Civilian life is a breeze.
Its not much of a breeze when your homeless and hungry.
I heard that tens of thousands - maybe hundreds of thousands of America's homeless and hungry are veterans... very sad if true...Don't panic.
Patience is a virtue. problem is you can't feed yourself or pay your bills with Patience... or virtue... Vice, on the other hand...[QUOTE="scarecrowM"]

Just what we need. A bunch of poor immigrants from south of the border dragging down our economy. ;-)
honestly canada needs to make a fence and make the americans the new mexicans. and make fun of these poor ppl hopping the fence. lmao. canada is the futureIf you give up now, then the recession has defeated you. Don't let the recession defeat you!
I've been trying to find a job myself. I've tried at least 5 places with no luck so far. Sure it's discouraging at times, but goddamnit I'm not giving up!
Just 5 places? Let me know when you've made it to 200 places, then I will let you know how many more you need to try.I'm not killing my self. I'm going to Canada or some place, and taking my stuff.[QUOTE="DazedDarkness"][QUOTE="Atmanix"]

I've been in debates with people with many different nationalities, and I have to say Canadians involved in any discussion about the US and Canada are simply not worth talking too.
think about the Jingoistic American who always brag about the military and how they save the world in WW2. Annoying right? well Canadian pride, especially when directed at the US is off the charts, 10 times worse.
It may be hard to believe, but in my experience you can get a more reasonable debate with hard line muslims who hate US policies.
[QUOTE="kipohippo021"]hes done more than bush did in 8 years. Thats for sure. He has done way way too much. Wait, so has he not done enough, or done too much? I'm confused because last time I check the stimulus definitely helped the economy. And he hasn't raised taxes.[QUOTE="Darkainious"]

Haha, it's pretty funny to hear about how hard other countries have it with employment etc. One advice to my European friends. MOVE TO NORWAY. The demand for jobs here is craaaaazy. I work at Oslo airport and there are all kinds of people working here. Danes, Germans, Englishment, Swedes etc.Osaka-06Hmmm i was actually thinking about this for other reasons (the local politics mainly). I heard the taxes are crazy. And i never lived on my own. In a different country. That's a huge step.

From my experience those kinds of Canadians seem incapable of praising the accomplishments of their own country without castigating America. It's definitely a bizarre form of prejudice considering most Canadians I have met are pretty cool.

In a different country. That's a huge step. Just find a bunch of other foreigners and rent an appartment. It's really easy. The taxes are 12 % if you're not a Norwegian national. Getting a job there is extremely easy. I was hired and had found an appartment 4 days after my friend told me about this whole thing.

Canadian pride ? LOL What is this you speak of. Ive seen little pride in this country. Its just immigrants trying to change the laws to that of there home country, party leaders screaming like little girls, and Canada born families just not caring anymore.Im not hating on canada. Just talking about how I see my country.
There is much Canadian pride around you good sir, we just aren't as flashy about it as other nations are about their own national pride.Chill out. Millions are going through this kind of thing. Time will heal the country or allow China to invade with their German allies. Imagine Americans speaking a Chinese-German hybrid language. Actually that would be pretty badass.Man, I got laid off and I haven't been able to find a job anywhere. It's seems like we'll never pull out of this recession, and in fact it's getting worse. Everything is being outsourced to foreign companies so our government and these corporations are taking away more and more jobs. I'm scared man, really scared.
