Terrorists behead people while stone cold sober.

None of that counts, for absolutely no reason. "Only in America." :)

So many tasteless puns/jokes in this thread. ~_~

The guy is an idiot, jail for a long time or at least an institution if in fact he really was mentally disturbed...on top of the shrooms that is.

Hypothetical situation:

Let's say there was a pool nearby and after craphawk-Kano ripped the other guy's heart out, he pushed the heartless dude into the pool. Heartless dude's lungs consequently fill up with water. Is the cause of death drowning?

Not unless he actually died because his lungs filled with water, which I imagine he wouldn't, you'd die quicker with no heart than by drowning.

I wonder...if he never was a christian....he would of never believed in the devil...which leads to the man still alive. Oh, well I hope the trainer's family is ok, and the person who should be charge, is the one who put mushrooms in the guy's drink.

"Cause of death" is ruled to be whatever directly led to the permanent cessation of all circulatory, respiratory, or cerebral functions. I'm pretty sure that having your heart ripped out is going to do that faster than having water in your lungs.

Indeed. Everybody knows that when encountering a possessed person, you cast Circle of Protection Against evil on yourself, and then attempt Lesser or Greater Exorcism, as appropriate to the level of the devil.

I find it quite possible that he was fine, possibly had some mental issues but nothing incredibly serious, but the drugs tipped him over the edge. I don't feel murder 1 is right because he obviously didn't do this of sound mind and possibly didn't even know what he was doing.

But again, it'd be naive to say the drugs didn't play a role. They affect people in different ways and it's probable that they affected him in a very negative way.

A lawyer representing Wyatt has claimed the wild mushrooms caused him to act in such a violent way and had not control over his actions.article

Bull****. He still willingly ingested the tea, thus he is still responsible for what happened. He may not have had control, but he is still 100% responsible. This is the weakest defense and yet it always leads to acquittals.

He did. And even if he didn't, the responsibility would fall on the person who gave it to him, and he would still be partially accountable for the death, even if not the direct cause (i.e. manslaughter charge).

I think that, regardless of what drugs you are on, you have to be pretty messed up mentally to think that cutting out your friend's heart to 'get rid of the devil' is the right course of action. But then it is a real possibility that religion affected him in a very negative way.

American cage fighter 'rips out still-beating heart of training partner after fearing he was possessed by the devil'

Jarrod Wyatt

Arrested: Jarrod Wyatt was allegedly found standing naked over his dead friend's body in a room bathed in blood

A U.S. cage fighter ripped out the heart of his training partner while he was still alive after becoming convinced he was possessed by the devil, it was alleged today.

Jarrod Wyatt also cut out Taylor Powell's tongue and ripped off most of his face in a brutal assault that police said looked like a scene from a horror film, officers said.

They claim they found the 26-year-old standing naked over his friend's body with parts, including an eyeball, strewn around the blood splattered room in Klamath, California.

Wyatt allegedly told police he had drunk a cup of tea spiked with hallucinogenic mushrooms and became convinced Powell was possessed.

According to an autopsy Powell, 21, bled to death after his heart was ripped out.

The coroner said Powell had been alive when the organ was ripped out after his chest had been sliced open with a knife.

Wyatt told the police he thrown the heart into a fire along with other organs that he had removed from the body, it was claimed.

He allegedly told investigators he cooked the body parts because he was fearful Powell was still alive and he 'needed to stop the Devil'.

Police had been called to the grisly scene after a third friend had witnessed a sudden mood change in Wyatt after they had all ingested wild mushroom tea.

Justin Davis told police he returned to the flat to find Wyatt naked and covered from head to toe in blood.

He noticed an eyeball lying in the middle of the floor and saw Powell's mutilated body.

A lawyer representing Wyatt has claimed the wild mushrooms caused him to act in such a violent way and had not control over his actions.

'My client was trying to silence the devil,' said James Fallman.

'I think he was having a psychotic fit based on the mushrooms he had.'

Wyatt has been charged with first degree murder and torture.

Prosecutors added the torture charge as Powell was still alive when his heart was removed.

I hate to say it but only in America people...

Oh I think in UK law you get completely acquitted if someone spikes your drink, however if you know it has been done or do it yourself you are fully accountable.

Yeah, plus the only reason you bleed is because your heart is pumping blood through your system, no heart, no pumping, no blood moving...

I think their coroner is a dunce or this article is fake.

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="shani_boy101"] America has this psycho, the Virginia Tech massacre, the KKK, a nation where a man wouldn't have a chance of becoming president if he said he was an atheist and you still haven't switched to the metric system and degress Celsius. The USA is a pretty easy target for criticism.shani_boy101

So is every other country in the world....as to why metric and temperature measures are a reason to insult a country I can only say...what???:|

America is the biggest target because it is the central hub for pop culture, film and television etc. About the metric system thing you guys should have switched ages ago.

with the metric system: 1 centimetre= a little less than half an inch, 1 metre= 100 centimetres, 1 kilometre= 1000 metres.

Celsius is based on water. 0 degrees is when water is frozen solid, 100 degrees is when water boils. it just makes sense.

For the imperial system however: 1 inch= 2.5 centimetres, 1 foot = 12 inches, 1 yard = 3 feet, 1 fathom = 2 yards, 1 furlong = 110 fathoms, 1 mile = 8 furlongs. Not only do the names not make any sense, but the conversion between them is all over the place.

The fahrenheit system is the same. water freezes at 32 degrees and boils at 212 degrees. Doesn't make much sense at all.

Do you see my point?

Must... stay... on... topic...

Imperial system is base 12. It's not that hard to use it. Fahrenheit is based on the human body. Below 0F and you're in danger of hypothermia.. Above 100F and you're in danger of hyperthermia. Plus, it's not like we don't know what Celsius is. It's just that we know what 80F feels like, as compared to Celsius.

And everything that has a measurement on it is required to have metric, with the exception of road signs. An American-made car on its domestic models have KPH, as well as cooking materials. Hating on a country or criticizing a country for a measurement system is childish.

edit: furlongs and fathoms? wtf are those? do you know the difference between US Imperial and Imperial?

China made the news last month when a man ran into a school and killed 29 children. Don't use some isolated incident as an example for my country. People have been tripping out and committing murders for years.

ANYWAYS - Wow. That's one way to get 20 to life.

America has this psycho, the Virginia Tech massacre, the KKK, a nation where a man wouldn't have a chance of becoming president if he said he was an atheist and you still haven't switched to the metric system and degress Celsius. The USA is a pretty easy target for criticism.

.

Aaaaauggggghhhhh......really, it's like you've been in a dark room, and the only thing on TV is bad things that happen in America.
