Umm at that time the Brittish werent really commited to India and had only a few minor expeditions and their interest peaked only after they were ousted from the USA...Pythos77
Nonsense. The British had been interested in India for years prior to the American failure.
If you know anything about weaponry your gonna have to agree that the US military at that time although more numerous and with better logistics was technologicly inferior to german equipment
Expain what you mean by "technologically inferior".
and BTW EINSTIEN, BOHR, OPPENHIEMER....ect ect...were german. (these are guys who were instrumental in the development of the A BOMB.
Yeah, they were also Allied scientists. Thanks for disproving your own argument.
plus the germans had the V2 rocket which is the predecesor of modern ICBMS
Absolutely. But it was easily Germany's most useless weapon of the war. It took away valuable production time from better weapons all for the sake of giving the Brits a bit of a scare.
.....aftter german surrender USA and russia went crazy looking for german scientist to take back home.....ALSO did you know that some german tanks were equiped with night vision???????
The device was never used in combat since its clarity was insufficient. It was useless beyond600 meters since the infrared search light did not cover a great area.Thedesign was totally redundant anyway since at600 meters you couldtell where an enemy tank was just by listening to it.Their were rumors that an improved model was designed and used, but no proof exists to show it.
ANd im just trying to state that the germans belived their army was invincible but they ended up getting their asses handed to them by the allies whom they considered to be inferior....
They considered the Slavs to be inferior. Hitler actually considered the English to be Aryan.
Again A technologiclly advaced and superior army was DEFEATED/ although done in by the policies of its own leaders. the end result is that we lost.
Yes, as you just said, by its own leaders. You have just admitted that the Vietcong and NVA did NOT defeat the US Army per se.
thats all that matters. Although I agree that if it were a conventional war we would have kicked butt. But what your saying reminds me of a little whining kid crying because he lost in a fist fight because the other kid kicked him in the nads...end result he still lost.............
This analogy is not accurate. Since it claims that the US child was still beaten up by a direct attack from the Vietnamese child.
The reality is, the Vietnamese child got his ass kicked, but the US kid's friends told him to back off. The Vietnamese kid walked away from the fight claiming he "owned" the US kid, even though he spent most of the time on the ground getting in a cheap shot here and there.
What im trying to say is that even with all our military might were facing an unconventional enemy which cannot be defeated by conventional means(exactly how much progress has been had up to now? it seems we are in way over our heads here).....I dont belive a single US soldier wants to die over there... they on the other hand seem more than willing to kill themselves just to kill a few GI.s
The middle east is still head deep in its own religous dark age. If you were to replace the modern middle east with "Medieval Europe", does anyone really think anything would be that different?
Of course, it is for this reason it would be most realistic to simply avoid the area until it gets its head on straight. Unfortunantly, the will of the almighty buyer demands that we stay and harvest oil for their precious consumerist society. It doesn't make me happy any more than you.
I do read alot, And I have actualy published 2 books. Co authored some articles for JAMA.
I find this difficult to believe with your grammar and presentation. So prove it.
